In most Panda Express restaurants I have encountered they either ran out of food of what I wanted, the food was cold or rubbery, the staff was unfriendly, and a little bit dingy. However that is not the case with Panda Express in Pinole. I was surprised and happy to not have oily fried rice or greased up chow mein. I had the 2 item combo orange chicken of course and beijing beef. The orange chicken is usually taste rubbery and or cold but not today or the times I been here at this location. The orange chicken and the beijing beef came straight out of the wok. Perhaps they keep busy because they maintain their level of quality and service or I just got lucky! Im usually not ever truely satisfied with my meal but the past 2 times I have been here I have been pleasantly pleased. Not to mention that every associate I have encountered have all been so friendly, they dont rush you to take your order and say thank you as you leave and after you pay. You just dont expect that at these type of fast food restaurants! Good job Panda Express! read more

I frequently come to this Panda bc it's the only one that's close to home. The food is always really good for like, Americanized Chinese food. Today, I had the Honey Walnut Shrimp, which I always try, but never got until now. It's sweet and crispy and super yummy! The staff is always really nice. I only have one thing that I do not like about this place... the Styrofoam they use for take outs. It's a horrible thing to continue to use non recyclable materials. Came here last night for some dinner. It was busy as usual for a Saturday night. The customer service is pretty good every time I have came here. They are always very nice & always ask you if you would like a sample of something. They are also pretty good about restocking their empty items. Sometimes they can be a little slow but never seem to mess up your order. They only thing that can improve about this place is how clean the place is. The floor is usually dirty, sticky & blotchy. Which well isn't attractive when you are eating. I hardly dine in here because its either packed or too loud. They also have outdoor seating which is nice on nice days. Used to be good. I used to love the food at this Panda Express but the quality and taste is not the same anymore. My husband and I have ordered take-out (with Uber-Eats) a couple times and we usually love our orders ( orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, Shangai Angus stake and Beijing beef) but recently (October & November) we have been disappointed with the quality of the food. The food is dry and bland, and it tastes like cheap frozen food. -The Shangai Angus Stake is so bland...and pricey. -The vegetable egg rolls taste old. -The chow mein has more cabbage and onion than noodles! The veggies to noodles ratio is unbelievable. -And the orange chicken is so dry. Like I said, I used to love this place. Maybe they have changed the usual chef. Panda Express, please change your current chef. I hope a new chef will turn my opinion around, and give me a meal worth my bucks. read more

First time at this particular location and I am left torn. The FOOD WAS GREAT. No doubt about that. We shared a plate of fried rice, orange chicken and some sort of sweet fire roasted peppers and chicken which was mmmm...good. When we arrived it was a Friday night (about quarter to 10pm) and apparently they close at 10pm. Almost all of the food was gone and whatever was left was down to the last couple of spoonfuls. The staff member who waited on us explained that we had to order from whatever was already left because they were going to be closing. This is not good customer service at all. This bothered me because there was not much of any 1 type of entrée left to choose from. I sense that my annoyance may have showed because when we ordered the sweet fire roasted peppers and chicken thing (which had only about 3 pieces of chicken left) she actually did ask the cook to prepare some more fresh. This was nice and much appreciated. Unfortunately, the same was not done for the 8 or 9 folks who walked in after us. These other guests looked just as annoyed as I had been. In my opinion this was a very bad judgment call by the staff that evening. Especially when a 24 hours Mel's Dinner (just opened) right next door. My suggestion: stay open later on the weekend or at the very least offer the standard menu items until you are actually closed and not up until a quarter till closing. Another downside was that they were out of veggie spring rolls and sweet & sour sauce (which I love with my fried rice). Also the staff made it clear that they didn't want us to dine in because they were closing. Therefore we had to eat in our car. This is also a thumbs down. The orange chicken is addictive. This is a fast and convenient way to shovel Chinese food in your face when you're starving and too lazy to go to somewhere better. It's panda express, not totally authentic food, but in a hurry, and looking to spend under $10, this is the place. This location gets busy, the line moves fast, unless you have get stuck behind someone who wants to sample a little of everything. It's not Costco, and honestly a lot of the dishes taste the same. But Panda Express is the type of place you know what you are going to get, the go to kind of place. Which makes it easy to stop on the way home from work. My standard dishes are the mushroom chicken, and black pepper chicken. My only suggestion is they could chop some of the veggies a little smaller. read more

This Panda Express location is great. Management really knows what they're doing! All dishes are always fresh and hot, unlike other pandas who have food sitting there for long periods of time. The line gets long sometimes but the staff never fails to get everyone out quickly! Tables, dining area, and bathroom are all always clean = A+. I always say, clean bathroom means a clean kitchen. It's hard to go wrong with Panda Express but I think this location goes the extra step to keep a customer satisfied. The workers here are all friendly even during peak hours when they are slammed. I've always been offered a sample here and they are good at keeping the line moving. Tip: Do not go when they first open in the morning. Love this Panda Express, great food and Xcellent Customer service. Food is usually freshly made because of the number of customer's that they generate. And if they are low on a item you can ask them to make some more and they will do so happily suprisingly. My only gripe is that the place is usually to crowded for me after 6:00pm. Alright I'm not going to lie, Panda Express is pretty legit especially this location. Came here on a Saturday night and ordered to go. I ordered a 2 item plate and hubby ordered the bigger plate option. Lines were pretty long but went by fast. Great that you can try the items first before committing to what you want on your plate. Portion size is very generous which is a big plus. The only complaint I have is the lady who was helping us. When my husband was deciding what item he wanted, the lady was tapping her fingers signaling to us to "hurry TFU". lol Anyways, person at the register was really nice. Place is not as busy rather compared to other panda express I have been into. Food looks fresh and service was exellent!

All of there food is dry when I asked for extra sauce they didn't have any.... And they just took the broccoli off the stove.. They had no flavor and when I asked for extra they only gave me 2 pieces more.. They workers are rude and don't seem like they really wanna help anyone. The food was HORRIBLE .
