Edit: 6-*-2018 I took a the risk and ate the food again, a couple times now. No stomach pain and it's not bad ;) Let me preface this with a quick introduction about my experience with Panda Express. It's never been good. Ever. I don't even know why I gave this place another chance... Firstly, this place is pretty pricey for a fast-food joint. I think I paid 12 dollars for a 2 item meal with a drink and a side of 3 crab rangoons. I'm calling it expensive because quite frankly, this level of quality and service isn't worth 12+ dollars. I come here with the understanding that what I'm partaking in is just chinese fast-food. Ok, sure... what do you expect.. Here's what I expect.. a lot more.. This place has the most pathetic excuse for food on the entire planet's measly existence. We're just a spec amidst this ever-growing gargantuan universe, but this spec on a spec has quite literally the most disgusting excuse for food. Everything is precooked and under hot-lamps, kind of like a chinese buffet... But it's not supposed to be a buffet.. is it or is it not a buffet?! Let's begin with the orange chicken. Exquisitely stone cold and sludgy, almost slimy even. This stuff is in a thick goop of overly sweetened "orange sauce" that makes your stomach cringe.. Next up is the chow mein.. following the motif of cold with a side of disgusting undercooked cabbage. Even this stuff couldn't pass off as slop for a pig. Next up is the crab rangoons. Incredibly small, incredibly hard, and understuffed.. Need I say more. The best thing that was on my plate was the new chinese spare ribs.. These were ok, but a couple of mine had nothing but fat and gristle, rendering the meat useless and void. After literally forcing this crap down( I mean I paid 12 dollars for it, pft.. I can't just not eat it )I now have the worlds most intense stomach ache, followed by gas with a remnant taste of my worst nightmare. I'm not going to bother with the survey on the receipt, because frankly, I'm not interested in the free entree with purchase of 2 entree plate. for 12 dollars including a 2 dollar tip, I could have headed to the Ye Star buffet off of 79 for unlimited trash food. I went here for a Friday lunch stop and even though I don't care much for imitation chinese food, the panda mesmerized me to dine in that day. I guess it was one of those fast food days for me. The thing I do like most about these chain restaurants is that they keep the line going in an assembly line and they keep the back pretty clean. There was hardly a wait and I got my food and sat down within 5 minutes. The food was steaming hot and the ladies behind the counter were nice. $6 after tax for 2 entrées, rice, and a drink. I got the orange chicken, beef, and fried rice. The food was average, nothing special. They piled up my plate and it was a heavier lunch that I'm used to, which is a good deal for college students on a budget. I'd go here again, but not for a while. read more

So, last night I got off late and I wanted something fast and hot for dinner. I had a craving for Chinese food, so this sounded like an ideal choice. The drive thru option was a motivating factor in my choice. I ordered the two entree meal with steamed rice and an egg roll. The price was roughly $8. The food was alright. I wouldn't write home about it, but I got full. What I did NOT like is the sweet and sour sauce they provided with the egg roll. I tasted it and gagged. I'm not sure what rubbing alcohol tastes like, but if I had to venture a guess I'd say it's pretty close to this stuff. YUCK. Will I go back? Maybe on another cold day. read more

I normally don't write reviews on places unless they are exceptionally bad. This location has the rudest staff I've ever witnessed. Very inattentive and do not care you are spending $13 on over priced microwaveable food. The drive thru lady refused to do separate orders and said it was against their policy even though there was no one else in line. She said the only way she can split an order is if we came inside but then said the dinning area is closed. The lady handing me my food was just as rude. They also forgot part of my meal. I also asked for extra soy sauce was was given none. Avoid this location at all cost. They have a terrible review for a reason and no one seems to care as the reviews date back months of complaints about the same things and nothing has changed. read more

Where do I start? Actually, I'll just get to it. Yesterday was my first and last time ever going to Panda Express. I went through the drive through and ordered the orange chicken w/steamed rice and two entrees; crab ran goons and spring rolls. **Service - 3/10. I felt that my order was fairly simple and clear. The lady even went over my order before taking my payment. I approved. I get my food and off I go. I never leave a drive through until I make sure my order is right and last night proved why I never should. I open the the box and I have a full order of steamed rice, 2 spring rolls and crab ran goons. NO ORANGE CHICKEN. Great... not a huge deal but how do you forget the main food item that I ordered? Fine, no problem I'll just go inside and clear it up. I go in and the same lady, to her defense, sees me and immediately stops and asks what the problem is. When I explain that my chicken wasn't included she just looks at me and says "...yeah you ordered the rice and two entrees only". I stared at her for a second and tried to understand what was happening. So for the full price of a meal and two entrees you charged me $6.79+tax and it doesn't come with chicken? Even AFTER you verified my order before I paid? Seriously? Realizing this, she quickly crabs the smallest to go box that could probably hold 2 large strawberries and stuffs it with 5(I counted) small pieces of orange chicken. She gives it to me and says "no charge" and walks away. I paid for that! What do you mean no charge!? **Food - 2/10. (Poor) The chicken had a texture like it was just microwaved. The taste of the chicken was bland and dry. The orange sauce was decent but nothing to make up for. Both my spring rolls were warm and soggy inside. Gross. The only thing I enjoyed was the ran goons. What a horrible experience and horrible service. I seriously would've been better off going to McDonalds next door. I will forever tell friends and family to avoid this location. read more

The only plus here is courteous and friendly staff, and fast service. Other than that, forget it. Head to the frozen aisle in HEB, you'll find better chinese food there. The flavors / sauces are decent, but food always seems to be cold. The beef they use is such a low grade, not sliced across the grain, extremely chewy. Chicken chunks at a chinese restaurant should be smaller than what you can put in your mouth. about the size of a large marble, or a ping pong ball at max. Let me say that the first review I ever wrote was because an awful experience I had at Panda Express on Burnet. I was saddened because this is the only fast Chinese you can get and I love Chinese food. So much so, that I had to give it another try at a different location. That being said... What a difference this location was! My food was hot! The cream cheese rangoons were freshly made, and crispy! (The other location was cold and soggy, in the middle of the day!) I got TWO sweet and sour sauce cups to go, I didnt even have to ask, whereas the other location did not even ask and I got none! Everything was hot and fresh and the drive-thru girl was SO NICE and POLITE and helpful! Burnet was rude, short, and not helpful at allllll! Thank you Panda Express Louis Henna for making me feel like I have an outlet for my Chinese cravings on a busy work night that I can get a meal I dont feel like I got robbed on and was actually authentic, healthy, and just the way I like it (plus great service!) ***** Just wanted to add that it was 9:30p, way past dinner hour, so I think that is just above and beyond awesome :) read more

Horrible service! In all locations. Tried two different stores, the first one closed prior to the hours of operations listed. This location had an extensive line waiting on the drive thru and didn't make more food despite still operating to tend to the cars waiting in line due to their lack of "fast food" service. As someone that has worked in restaurants before and ran them, it a shame that they can't provide proper customer service simply because of their want to go home. If hours are too much probably shouldn't hire certain employees. read more

Ordered thru the panda express app, when i got my order was the wrong order it had someone elses name on the receipt! Yes its on the dasher too for not checking anyway called the resturant and they say "we cant do anything about it,but your orders here if you wana come pick it up" i said ill call doordash even tho i didnt even order with them!! I called they said we cant reorder we will give you, your money back 7-10 buissness day it will go back to your card. I wanted the food i ordered , they didnt care!! I called the resturant back since the lady said they had my order still and could wait to see if they were going to send somebody else, the manager as i was telling her they werent going to send anyone else, she said well we havnt been paid for the order so if you want , you need to come pick up and pay. I love Panda Express. Real food, you can make good choices, great value and they have alternative to soft drinks, but this location lacks for some reason. Unpleasant workers, long lines, over cooked dishes, empty and/or cold food pans... I think they need a corporate intervention. Every other PE I've visited all over this country and in Canada, I always ask them to avoid giving me zucchini and carrots (because barf!) and they ALWAYS oblige me with a smile. Not this place. I've gotten attitude from several different servers. It may seem like a small thing and I guess it is, but it really puts a damper on my meal. Waste is always bothersome. I would always come in and my food would be hot and this time I came in it was cold I didn't realize it until I made it to work to eat for lunch. I only ate the walnut shrimp and I asked them for my money back cause I didn't even eat the rest and she told me that I ate most of it. When the noodles was cold you would have thought they were left out over night. I had not been to a Panda Express in several months, which is unusual for me. I didn't have the kids with me, and just after church went to the one here by the Outlets for the first time ever and I was greeted immediately by one of the server/drive-thru attendants, but then the Manager/New Owner of the location, Daniel, had a very friendly greeting and recognized my Audi golf shirt I was wearing sharing that he was an Audi driver too. I ended up trying the Firecracker chicken for the first time and mixed it with the Chicken and green beans along with fried rice and an egg roll. (My usual is blacken chicken and Beijing Beef). And, the food tasted excellent, I could tell the place was doing better than normal, had a good crowd in there. I think a lot has to do with the new owner who is running it, Daniel. As an owner and COO of a pro basketball team, and avid Audi driver, I would really like to be able to do some business to promote Panda Express, especially with Daniel, so more people know and will grow his business. The Austin Boom would like to be a partnership with this eating establishment. read more

I realized that it is "Panda Express", but common. This place is very dirty with employees who would rather carry on personal conversations and talk shit about the customers in front of them on their head set radios instead of lifting a finger to clean anything or help anyone. It is a place of business and not a playground kids (referring to the employees)! My advice to the owners is to find people who care and are willing to work instead of the individuals that are currently employed there. The positive reviews are blatant lies from the owners(s), current employees, their friends, and/or family members! This place is very disgusting as is the service! I would not have given any stars or even negative stars, but yelp doesn't post reviews with out any stars. Save yourself some time and frustration and eat else where. read more

Today is the worst PANDA EXPERIENCE in my whole life.I used to love this since I was in california then when we moved here back 2010 only now I was disappointed.First I was surprise to see the male manager from University oak panda express wheres the IKEA is.I saw him very overwhelmed and very stress he keep on running back and forth and then when he got back to the cashier he has to think for a minute he look confused.So I ordered my food to another man I talk slow and say I want to have 4 orders take out.I did it specific and precise bec.the guy seemed new.There is no angus steak so I said Im willing to wait (was thinking 10 minutes wait).Then I was standing in the cashier waiting to pay them off but the manager left the counter and left me and nobody take over and helped so I said I am ready to pay.The manager says do you want it in one ticket? at the back of my head {dUH! I am alone so what you think)but I stayed so polite.Then I said I will wait for the angus.I was surprise he didnt even offered me any drink which I was used of the asian lady she always offered free drink compensation for waiting.But again I was okey without it although surprise.Then afer 20 long minutes my angus came.He said your order is ready mam.Again surprise taking that long and he didnt even bother giving it to me while I was patiently waiting so I went in the counter and picked it up at the back of my head this people dont know what CUSTOMER SERVICE IS...I guess I am spoiled with those ladies. First off, let me say I actually like Panda Express. It's not the best Asian food but if you want something fast this is great....except this location consistently runs out of food all the time. Right now I'm in line and I've been waiting for awhile. It's been about 5 songs playing on the radio so that's at the least 15 minutes but more leading towards 20. It's been like this since I've moved around this area 3 years ago. My suggestion would be train your staff better or find better employees! Pay them a little more if you have to! Growing up eating Chinese food and spending time in China, the food here is soo good and authentic that you cannot find most of the dishes in China anymore!
