So, I usually hit up the Westfield Mall whenever I'm down visiting my bff at UCSD or heading down to Sea World. My friends love their Steak Escape, and the younger sibs will eat ANYTHING pizza related. I, however, LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE chinese food. I'm really picky about my orange chicken though. I like is crunchy on the outside, with a thin coating of batter and a piece of chicken that I can actually identify as being chicken. Than, I also like my orange chicken more along the sweet side than the tangy side, and Panda Express OC is definitely one of the more tangy ones. They are REALLY REALLY STINGY. Made where I live they do it differently than most places, but here they don't really give you much. I've gotten food from here a few different times, and once I came right before they closed and they still had a BUNCH of food leftover, so here I was thinking that MAYBE, just MAYBE, they would be a little more generous. HELL NO, THEY STILL GAVE ME THE SMALLEST AMOUNT! After I got my food, I gave it to my friend Michael to hold, and he thought I already ate half of it, or something, cause it was sooo light. I can usually split one 2 item combo plate with three people where I live, but not here. Back off bitches, there is only enough food for meeee! ( : Another thing, I personally prefer thicker noodles with my chow mein, and Panda Express has noodles that I would categorize as being Angel Hair status, but a huge plus for adding in bean sprouts! I LOVE BEAN SPROUTS IN MY CHOW MEIN! The workers are really nice though. All the workers at this mall are, actually. Except for the guy who makes the sandwiches at Steak Escape. read more

Panda is open again and is newly renovated. It still looks pretty similar, but there's more of an open kitchen now (so you can see in the kitchen fully). The food is the same and I can't get enough of their orange chicken. I usually get half fried rice and half noddles while my husband just gets steamed rice with the orange chicken. For us, we always have leftovers after one 2 item meal. It's usually pretty quick to get through the line as well, the service is always fast, but other customers who don't know what they want will slow things down. read more

They redecorated and it looks really nice. I'm rating them down a star cause this is another location that doesn't have bbq pork which is my fav dish here. The chow mein was fine. The new angus beef was very tasty except it was more vegetables I didn't like rather than the protein I desired. The beijing beef had good flavor except it was sliced too thin and may have been overcooked... This place is okay but generally I prefer the family run places in town. read more

Foods good, but portion sizes are ridiculous. This one serves less portions compared to every Panda Express I've been to and it makes me sad because I love their food. Better customer service is needed here too! The same worker I see every time I'm here (I work at the mall, so I see her often) always looks like she doesn't want to work and gives no friendly presence behind the counter whatsoever. The staff were very rude! I ordered chicken with mushrooms but the bowl didn't contain much chicken so most of my bowl was rice and noodles. She didn't add the fortune cookies and didn't add all the food we ordered. Because of this I rated one star. read more

Good for low carb eating because you can have veggies at a side. Not a lot of people buy the eggplant tofu I guess so you have to wait for them to make it, which mean it is fresh. I don't mind waiting most of the time. The portion size is kind of small but I guess it's good if you are on a diet and watch your portion. I do get full after the meal surprisingly. I try the steak which is good and tender but you have to add $1.25. I like the eggplant tofu so I guess I will come back for that. read more

Pand has good days and bad days. Sometimes the noodles are extremely undercooked, sometimes it's decent. I can keep coming back, but only because I prefer this place over any of the others. I'd say I go to panda at least 3 times a week (which is pretty sad..). Definitely take advantage of the free entree on the back of the receipt.. Also they tend to forget to give you a fortune cookie. I like Panda Express for what it is. It's good for Americanized Chinese fast food and it's nice to have a sampling of smaller portions of multiple items in the same meal. The service is very fast at this location and, since it is busy, there is a good turnover of the items so what you get is pretty fresh. read more

On the afternoon of 11/24/2015 I placed an order for my work associates for a group order with the total cost of $77.22. I was charged for $290.00 from my debit card using the online ordering service through the Panda Express website. The food was supposed to be ready at 10:15am 11/25/2015. Upon my arrival (10:15am) I was highly disappointed to hear that the employees had no record of our order entered the night prior, even though I received a receipt and order confirmation number (48740; which I had all copies in hand during visit) my debit card charged 3 1/2 times the original total amount. To further my frustration, the manager and employee began to become defensive and stated that the order was not placed correctly, even though my debit card was charged AND I had an order confirmation number which I presented to them. Their attitudes at this time became increasingly unprofessional; the manager then left the store without addressing us that he was going to leave and left the associate to further assist us. The associate was very unprofessional in the way she talked to us and kept saying this isn't her fault and that WE placed the order wrong. We would have been much happier if the employee apologized for the inconvenience and then helped us. Instead she persisted that we needed to put the order in correctly. In addition to our order not being readily available. We had to wait an additional 50 minutes to wait for food to be prepared because they didn't have enough food to serve our group order that we ordered in advanced. Also, brown rice shows to be on the menu but the associate persisted that brown rice is not available rudely and then stated we had to choose something else because it could not be made. Due to this unprofessional experience my company and I feel as if we can no longer do business with Panda Express. This group order was made to serve our managers, and the fact that we were 1 hour late to serving the food was a huge embarrassment not only on my behalf but on Panda Express as well. Well I'm a girl who likes to eat. I bought a 3 item platter and a drink for 10 dollars, and I left hungry. The orange chicken really bothers me, after what seems minutes of chewing on a orange glazed doughnut I finally reach the small chicken center. The chow mein was swimming in oil, once I finished it I see a pool of grease left behind the sneaky noodles. The taste was decent, the slippery slimy texture was a bit repulsive. I then had the Kung pow chicken, I couldn't understand what I was eating besides the occaisonly crunchy peanut I saw swimming around because everything seemed to be masked by heaps of chili pepper. Yes I know what your thinking I'm eating at a fast food place I shouldn't be expecting quality, but you have to understand i paid 10 dollars for bit sized pieces of fried bread, pepper flakes, and slimy noodles drowning in oil. I guess it was ok but definitly not worth the price. But one thing I did like was the fact everyone working there was mexican, that kept me smiling after eating a disapointing dinner. read more

NEVER ORDER FROM HERE!!! I order for large groups at work all the time and decided to give Panda Express a try. I placed the order with the store manager and the order came out to $1000 for 110 people which I was excited about as it was $200 cheaper than what I am used to spending at other restaurants. The order was to be delivered at 11:30am. At 11:40 the driver shows up unloads a bag of fortune cookies, five trays of food (I ordered 37) and a stack of plates and walks out of the door saying I will go grab the rest. I was thinking he was going to go to his car to grab the rest but he hops in and takes off. I call the restaurant as I have 110 people sitting in a room waiting for an 11:30 lunch and it is now 11:50 and the person on the phone said they didn't know when the driver would be back as he had left the rest of the order at the restaurant and they were busy with the lunch rush so they couldn't send another driver with the remainder of my order... Finally I get ahold of the corporate office and they tell me they will call the manager and to give them another 15 minutes. Fast forward to 12:45 - An hour and 15 minutes later and I have $1000 worth of cold orange chicken, soggy egg rolls, burnt chow mein and the only explanation I get is they were busy... read more

I don't usually take surveys but I just had to go the extra mile and take this one ONLY BECAUSE Rico gave me the best service I have ever received in any fast food restaurant. Thw line behind me was long and he had a lot of people to still help but he never made me feel like he had to rush me out of there of that I was not as important as the next costumer. He had a constant smile on his face and just a very professional but yet friendly tone of voice and caring attitude. I will definitely come back to THIS Panda Express with my children more often.
