I had a long day and at work we were all talking about how good the honey sesame chicken is, so I decided to go get some after work. I put in a mobile order at 730 for a pick up time of 750. I walk in at 7:51, walk to registers and was ignored for about 3 minutes. Which I understand because they had a line to the door. They asked my name for the order and one girl says, "Oh, I think he's working on it" and points to a man. Finally he asks my name and he said , "Oh, I'll go get that now." I see him refilling rice etc and he finally comes back just to tell me that they were out of honey sesame chicken for the night, and asked if I wanted something different. I said , "No, that's the only thing I really like here and I'd like a refund" . He gave me a refund and a small apology. The reason I'm mad is that I put a mobile order in when they probably had chicken available but waited to start it until 8:00. Or at least tell me that you're out before I stand there an extra 10-12 min. I ended up having to go to Taco Bell across the street and eat at 8:20. I am very disappointed in Panda Express and the way they are handling the online orders. read more

Add Panda to the list of companies exhibiting price gouging and unscrupulous business practices during the Coronavirus quarantine. When the quarantine is over and more dining choices become available, I will remember how Panda treated me...and I am sure I will not be the only one. So during the quarantine, no one is allowed to go inside Panda to order. This has given Panda free reign to gouge people in the drive thru. I ordered my usual order thru the drive thru and drove all the way home to open the bag and see a teeny tiny little box of shrimp that literally had 5 shrimp in it. As I have a family of 5, it was easy math. One tiny shrimp per person. Ticked off, I got in my car and drove all the way back there to speak with the manager (Pedro) who, rather than apologizing as he should have, instead he actually had the audacity to defend the practice. He cited some dubious "company policy" to justify my 5 shrimp order...trying to convince me that I had received exactly what I had ordered in the past. I told him truthfully that I did not care what the company policy said. All I know is that before the Coronavirus quarantine, I would walk into the restaurant and order my usual bowl. When I was actually standing at the counter watching, no one counted pieces of shrimp to give me. They just shoved the scooper in and whatever is on a full scoop, goes onto the bowl. I KNOW THAT EVERYONE HAD THIS VERY SAME EXPERIENCE BEFORE THE QUARENTINE so I really cannot believe Pedro was standing there straight faced and defending his 5 shrimp "company policy" for a bowl. I ordered again, this time the size I wanted...i.e. the size I usually got when ordering inside was possible. That size, according to Pedro was $13 but he said he would cut me a break and only charge me $10. Wow, he really did me a favor there considering I burned gas for 2 trips to feed my family. To add even further insult to injury, they did not include any fortune cookies either. Not a huge thing...but my kids really like them. When I put all this in perspective, I still have much to be grateful for. I am glad I am still employed and have the money to eat out. But when the Coronavirus quarantine ends and more restaurants return to normal business...I will remember how Panda treated me as a customer during hard times. Me and my girlfriend love this location! It can definitely be hot or miss but it depends on who is cooking! I've never had a bad experience with customer service and I've never had any cold food. Currently dealing with food poisoning from this location. I haven't eaten there in so long because every time I've had a horrible experience. From waiting forever in the drive thru lane just to have my whole order messed up,dealing with rude and careless employees,terrible food quality and now food poisoning. This location is a huge disgrace to the chain. Might as well just close it down if they aren't willing to meet the standard of a halfway decent place to eat. We have been here twice in the drive thru and each time we have been helped by a different person. That being said, the service here is HORRIBLE! They were condescending and rude and got frustrated with anything added to a meal (i.e. Extra teriyaki sauce on the side). Eaten here about 3 times since they opened, and each time has been great. I'm not saying that it's gourmet dining but it is nice to have a different choice for fast food here in San Tan. It's your basic Panda Express food. So glad we don't have to drive to Queen Creek now. They have only been open a couple weeks so they are still working out some kinks, like the serving line. While the food is great, I give this 3 stars because of the service . Every single time I go there, the girl at the window seems extremely irritated. When she tells you they serve Pepsi instead of Coke it's almost like she is the yelling at you . Also she always asks you if you want a sample and then never gives you one . This location is quite close to our house so when the need for some fast food Chinese hits here is where we go The staff is friendly and most of the time everything looks fresh. Have never had an issue with the food. Sometimes the drive thru line can get out of control long but its kind of expected down here. All in all good place read more

This Panda Express is the worst I'm not one for writing reviews or complaining in general I was happy when this location opened as it was a welcomed addition to the neighborhood and my kids and I love panda we have been there on several occasions as my kids are always requesting panda as reluctant as I am to stop at this location the next closest panda to us is 15 minutes away in the opposite direction they are always out of everything and have crazy wait times and say it like they don't care one bit and people have 20 minutes to just sit and wait. I can see if it was near closing time and everyone is trying to clean up however it does not matter what time of day you go! I generally like Panda Express restaurants but this one is not the best. They seemed short handed and were more interested in helping people in the drive thru than people who were inside. We had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes to even be acknowledged by the servers and then it took another 5 minutes for the server to come to take our order. This place was ok when it first opened. So I decided to get some dinner for my family on my way home from work. I will never go to this Panda Express or any Panda Express ever again. We should leave Chinese food to either pei wei or authentic Chinese food establishments. At least their service and food is good. When I received my food there was hair in my rice, my orange chicken was not done and was partially frozen. I think corporate needs to completely overhaul the staff here including managers before the state shuts this place down. Uh, too bad there's not an option for zero stars. I am absolutely shocked at how rude these people working here can be. I went through the drive through and as I approached the window, the girl working immediately had an unpleasant vibe. I asked her if there were chopsticks in the bag with the order and she responded in a rude tone "do you need chopsticks?" UH? Well... its an asain food chain right!? AND YOU GAVE ME NO UTENSILS.... Not even one star worthy but to post I had to! I am fuming right now. Just ordered orange chicken bowl and a medium orange chicken entree and a medium chow mein entree. All looked correct on the screen so I didn't even look at the receipt. Just tossed it in the car. I get home, they gave me an order or chow mein and fried rice. I called to let them know and the first thing they asked me was the order number. I don't know?! I didn't want a refund I just wanted my food, so I told the girl on the phone, who I assumed was the manager that I would just come down and they can remedy the situation. I get to the drive up window and tell the clerk that I called and that the person I spoke with on the phone knew the situation. I get to the window and explain, again what happened. She said that they needed to look up the receipt. At this point, I'm fuming, I asked her why there were 3 associates at the computer to look up one receipt?! She stated that one of them was the manager?! Seriously? So it takes 2 associates and a manager to look up a receipt? I searched my car to find the receipt! Found it, just to show them exactly what I said happened....what did they think, that I pulled in, ordered the rice and chow mein only to drive back and get the chicken and get over on them for $2-3 more dollars?! I've been here three different times and haven't been happy each time. Today, I went they around 6 pm and ordered the two entree/ one side plate. I got orange chicken and broccoli/ beef and chow mein. I also got a vegetable egg roll and the little cream -filled things. Well, I got more chow mein and very little beef/ broccoli ( meat was done right but the broccoli was overcooked as well add the orange chicken (very dry and hard!) I am actually very disappointed in how the panda express is being ran and manage and supervised. The things that I witnessed on my trip to panda express are disgusting and very unprofessional. I have been in the food industry my entire life but tonight I witnessed a cook answer a cell phone while preparing food and talk on the phone and then touch the phone again and put it back in his pocket. I seen cleaners sitting next to the prepared food Not to mention the sneeze guard glass that protects the food from customers on the receiving end wide open with a line of customers, Employees touching food without washing their hands or wearing any form of gloves (but a box of large gloves sitting on the table right behind them), as well as the crew members bickering and arguing in front of customers (unprofessional), horse play, attitudes, and comments being made towards one another in front of the customer. Panda Express, do your employees need to obtain a food handlers card or any knowledge on how to safely prepare and serve food to the community? Because if so, I cannot tell. My family eats at panda express and I am disgusted with the service and the food that I was provided.
