This Panda is so hit and miss.... Sometimes I've gotten the Greens and they are scrumptious, some times they just taste like water with no seasoning whatsoever so ever.. today I ordered the Family meal with Greens, chow mein Beijing Beef, ... which I shall now call "Where's the Beef" since the container was only 2/3rds full and mushroom chicken... what the heck???? Come on guys! I thought I was supposed to have 5 containers...the chicken one was full... maybe they just ran out of Where's the Beef? Stopping here in Susanville for the night not knowing the area I was in the mood for something quick. I had a couple choices since there were a couple of fast food restaurants near the hotel I was staying. It was between McDonald's, Taco Bell, Jack-in-the-Box or Panda Express. I went with was supposed to be the best option. Unfortunately it didn't go that way. We all know that panda express are tight with the portion when it comes to serving. But this location really stole half of my food at least that's what I think. Even on the rise, the girl just put half a spoon of it and one spoon of chow mein. On my teriyaki chicken literally there were only four small pieces. I asked the girl if I could get a little bit more but she said she would have to charge me extra so I refused it and just left it as is. I really don't know if the girl was having a bad day or she just wanted to give me a hard time but after I paid, I requested hot sauce and she literally only put one little small packet of hot sauce in the bag. I asked her if I could get more hot sauce. She grabbed one more packet and put it in. I was like really !!!. After that I Asked if I could get three packets more and she responded with " we usually don't give a lot of hot sauce out ". Delicious food. Aundria was super nice and gave me the perfect amount of food for a teenage boy. Would recommend as a roadtrip spot.

I'll get straight to the point. During lunch hour they had 3 people working it was only 11:30 and they ran out of teriyaki chicken for the rest of the day... orange chicken was so hard. Although it was freshly made it took me about 1 minute to fully chew a piece... no ice in the soda machine and soda had no gas... unfortunately won't be coming back hopefully you guys catch a better day. read more

It's OK, if you're not in a hurry. I go here once or twice a month. For some reason, regardless of the time of day, they are always out of what I order and I have to wait 10-15 minutes for them to bring my order out to the parking lot. Today, I went through the drive through at lunch time. There was a car at the menu/intercom in front of me. I sat there for 7 minutes, behind that car, waiting for them to get their order taken. At that point I was worried I'd be late for work, flagged the person behind me to back up so I could get out of line and go somewhere else. I just can't stop here on my way to work any more. We walked into the store at approx 4pm, there were roughly 6 workers behind the counter, waiting on no one. There was no one in the drive through and 1 customer in the restaurant ......We stood there for 5 minutes and No One welcomed us or said we'd be right with you! We were the only ones in line! After another 2-3 minutes we walked out!! This is another Prime Example of why Kids should NOT Be left in charge of retail stores that rely on customers! As I was crazy for Panda Express for lunch, I went to go grab a plate entree to go I order fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, and teriyaki grill chicken, as I get back home to go eat right away and the first thing I notice when I take a bite the fried rice was still raw, I can't believe that the employee don't know how to cook the damn rice. This was the worst Panda Express I've ever been to. About half of their meal items were not available and no one was cooking anything. The chowmein was dry. The entrees they did have looked like they had sat there awhile. The teriyaki chicken was slightly burnt on both sides. Other than that, the staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. First of all, I will say I quite enjoy the honey walnut shrimp- it's probably the only thing worthwhile on the menu. That said, I don't care for this Panda Express. I find P.E. to be pretty mediocre/so-so in general, but this location is worse than that. Chow mein is dry as a bone and flavorless. Cream cheese rangoons are mostly rock-hard wonton wrappers with half a teaspoon of filling. The quality and quantity of of the entrées are not worth the price. I groan whenever my strange housemates want me to pick up dinner from this location since I know they'll most likely either be out of something and/or I'll be stuck waiting in the parking lot for them to bring out the order, negating the whole point of having a drive-thru. Last night we went to support the local Pta. They were out of everything with couple hours left. The popular dishes. Then we came back tonight. They close at 8:30 on a Saturday night. Wow! But they were only serving what they had left cooked. With 45 minutes left they were already ready out if sides. I am over it. I won't be back. The last time I visited this establishment they had all food items over by the drive thru. Makes no sense to put food out on the serving line nearest the drive thru when customers entering to dine in can't see what they would like to order from the food items at the drive thru window. The chowmein was old. Had been sitting for 30 min the guy said. It had dry hard noodles cooked. I've reached out to customer care regarding a experience months ago that I still to this day have not received gift cards for. It's always the food quality and portions. Nothing ever seems to be fixed and as you can see other reviews dictate this same issue with food as well. Also they don't have proper food made most times I go. That being said, the food at every Panda Express is the same (like McDonald's) which is something: you always know what to expect. Went to Panda Express in Susanville the other day, we ordered the family meal to go for $29.00 but when we got the bill they charged $32.00 even though the posted price was $29.00. They refused to give us back the $3.00 plus tax, and stated the price had gone up. This place is a rip off and we reported them to Lassen County weights and measures and the DAs office. read more

It's all about the Angus Beef!!!! It's so very tasty!!!!! This restaurant beats a lot of the other places in Susanville. Their food is fresh and it's a pretty nice place to eat if you don't get it to go. On warm summer nights it's great to eat outside. Can't complain, especially for a fast food joint. read more

Don't EVER eat here! I never post a bad review unless it's well deserved. I've eaten at Panda Express more times than I can count at the locations in Reno and never had a bad experience. This is the second time now in about a one year span that I've made the mistake of eating at the Susanville location while passing through for work. It is absolute garbage. The first time I wasted over $30 on a family pack, my entire family wouldn't eat it, it went in the trash. It was like old soggy microwaved food, like DAYS old. Tonight I got an order to go, Kung Pow chicken and broccoli beef. When I got home to eat I found four pieces of old broccoli and TWO pieces of beef that I couldn't even eat. It was like old jerky. The kung pow chicken was awful, there was maybe five tiny pieces of chicken buried under a bunch of soggy gross vegetables. I have no idea what's wrong with this location. But I can guarantee I'll NEVER go there again. read more
