I love a good egg drop soup, and this was a good one. The main dish... The broccoli chicken was very good. The chicken was tender, and the veggies were crisp. It was sauced well, and it was not over sauced. Now, the cons..... The egg roll. Just your generic Chinese food eggroll, it tasted OK, but it was very greasy. It left my fingers glistening.... The chow mein. It was warm at best, and it was also very oily. It left a film of oil on my lips. The noodles were kind of gummy. The pork fried rice... It was just OK. The texture of the rice was OK, but there wasn't much flavor to it. I added a bit of hoisin to it, and it made it a bit better. Basically, I was batting .500 on this meal. The spring rolls had absolutely no flavor, as they were not seasoned at all. However, the peanut dipping sauce was delicious and helped a lot with the lack of flavor in the spring rolls. It appears that Tom is running the restaurant by himself, with no help, and told me that he prefers to do takeout.
