    String bean chicken breast bowl

Ratios - I ordered the string bean chicken breast bowl. There was barely any chicken, 2 small pieces, ALL green beans.

    Looking great!

My son has been waiting on pins and needles to eat here. It's been a long time in the talks. Great it finally went through. We definitely need some new eating establishments in Tehachapi, after 18 years of the same thing you are ready for something different. Finally open, and getting all our favorites. Orange Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, pepper angus, fire chicken, veggies, chow mein and egg rolls. Everything was hot and they gave plenty of condiments. First day open and the wait at drive thru was about 10 min. Not bad for the first day. Portions might have been on the smaller side. $30.35 for family of 3, no drinks.

This is my entire order of Beef and Broccoli. Not much broccoli and maybe a full bite of beef.

We have given this Panda Express 3 tries now. Well, three strikes and you're out. I'm just going to review our experience last night since it was the worst. We ordered through the app. We both got the bigger plate which is three entrees. I ordered beef and broccoli, honey walnut shrimp, sesame chicken with all chow mien no rice. My husband ordered Beijing Beef, Angus Steak dish, mushroom chicken with half rice and half chow mien. Also a 6 piece order of chicken egg rolls and a 10 piece order of crab rations. Ok, so that's what we ordered, now here's what happened and what we ended up with. My honey walnut shrimp was good but that's where it ends. My sesame chicken was dried out, very small pieces, most were just batter with no actual chicken inside and so hard it wasn't edible. My beef and broccoli had at the most one full bite of beef (I'm attaching a photo) and the broccoli was so undercooked it was borderline raw. My chow mien was much more cabbage than noodles. That was the best part of our experience, now for the really interesting part of this ordeal. My husband didn't get half rice, half chow mien. He got all chow mien or I should say cabbage with some chow mien noodles mixed in. He did get the Angus beef dish with no issues. He got pepper chicken. Keep in mind he didn't order pepper chicken, he ordered Beijing Beef. They only gave us 4 egg rolls in the order of 6. We caught this before we left and the girl said they didn't have any more egg rolls and asked if we'd like 2 veggie spring rolls. Ummmm, we paid for chicken egg rolls and they knowingly left 2 out of our order??? We insisted on egg rolls and we were given attitude because they take 8 whole minutes to cook, we said we'd wait. We get home and discover the pepper chicken instead of Beijing Beef so we go back. We were told that they were out of Beijing beef for the night but could exchange it for orange chicken. So again they knowingly altered our order without telling us. We gave up and went home. But wait! The story doesn't end there!!! We went to talk to the manager Anna today. We were nice and polite. We wanted to make her aware of what happened and we wanted some type of compensation for our $47 order that was mostly inedible. She couldn't have cared less. At one point she visibly rolled her eyes. She did offer to give us some food right then. When we told her we appreciate that but we'd already had lunch she offered no other solution and get this, she actually said "I don't know what you want me to do then". At that point we left and have contacted corporate.

Food was cold. Workers were angry. Will never be going to eat panda ever again here in tehachapi

Tuesday, March 10th, we traveled to Bakersfield to pick up a vehicle I had purchased, and of course had to stop by Kohnen's. My wife and I split a Tuna and Cheddar Panini, and a loaded Turkey (we arrived too late for Sourdough!!). It is difficult to walk away without a mini-pie (try them all, but blackberry is freaking amazing!!). As always, Danelle was there with her typical congeniality and work ethic! We love her!! And I got to tell her about her doppelgänger in a restaurant in Yucaipa!! They do exist!! In summary, eat at Kohnen's!! Say hi to Danelle!

I visited Kohnen's Bakery Tehachapi yesterday with my family, and this was honestly one of the…read moreworst customer service experiences I've ever had. I only purchased two items -- one cream puff and one slice of cheesecake -- but the cashier charged my card THREE times due to repeated mistakes. Here's exactly what happened: 1) My first card (Card A) was charged $11.20. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said yes. Then she told me the receipt didn't come out because the transaction "didn't go through," and asked me to provide my card again. 2) I gave the same card again, and this time she charged $11.69. 3) Then again, she told me that it didn't go through, so I used a different debit card (Card B), which was charged $11.20. While sitting at the table with my family, I immediately checked my bank account and thought I had only been charged twice. I spoke to a staff member at the store and requested a refund for one of the $11.20 charges, which was processed. However, today I realized I had actually been charged three times, meaning there was still another $11.20 that needed to be refunded. So I called the bakery and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with someone named Danielle. I calmly explained the entire situation and told her I would send all my receipts and bank transaction records by email so they could double-check and confirm everything. She said ok and gave me their email address, but it was very long, and I was concerned about making a mistake while writing it down. So I politely asked if she could text me the email address instead. Her response was extremely rude -- she said, "I'm not required to do that," and told me to just write it down myself if I had a pen and paper. Although I was already uncomfortable with her attitude, I carefully wrote it down and sent the email. However, the email bounced back as invalid, even though I had confirmed the spelling with her multiple times over the phone. When I called again, Danielle answered and said, "Ma'am," in a very dismissive tone, and told me that they had found the three charges and had already processed refunds for both $11.20 transactions. I tried to confirm which card the refund was going to, since I used two different cards, but after putting me on hold for a long time, she read off a card number that was not mine. When I told her that wasn't my card, she insisted those were the only transactions for $11.20 yesterday and told me to "check my bank in a few days" and call back if the refund doesn't show up. And, she didn't apologize for the mistake, even though they charged my cards three times and wasted a significant amount of my time. Even yesterday, when I asked for an apology, I only received one reluctantly after I pointed out that they had made a mistake -- and even then, the response was dismissive, as if I should just accept it because they were "taking care of it." The attitude throughout this entire situation was rude, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. The cheesecake was very good. But because of this experience, I would never come back. We drove all the way from Los Angeles to Tehachapi with my family, expecting a pleasant visit, but this bakery completely ruined the day. Being charged a total of $34.09 for just two small items due to repeated errors is unacceptable. If your staff cannot properly process payments, they should not be working as cashiers. Situations like this should never happen. What's even worse is that after making multiple mistakes, there was not a single sincere apology -- only attitude, dismissiveness, and instructions for me to keep checking my bank and call back again. My time is valuable. This entire situation could have been avoided if things were handled properly from the beginning. This was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I am very disappointed. Cf) For reference, the other $16.05 receipt is for bread that my brother purchased.
