I've rated this location before. Sadly I must rate them again, 1 star. I would give zero stars if I could. I have been standing in line for nearly 30 minutes. Why I have not just given up and left yet... Well I'm hungry, really hungry. Amazes me the mismanagement happening right now. I came here around 8-ish in the evening to grab some food for my kiddos as this was what they were craving. Ordered a medium side of fried rice and a large side of chow mein. Please tell me why we received chow mein only 2/3 full and fried rice 3/4 of the way full? Not to mention the chow mein was 10% noodles and 90% veggies. I literally scooped it onto my kids plates and THE LOOK ON THEIR FACES screamed "wtf". On Friday 5/21/21 @7:21 pm, I picked up some food for my son at this location. When we got home, I happen to take off the lid of his soda. I was shocked to see there were ants in his drink. I called the restaurant and notified the employee who picked up. She admitted that the ants probably came from the spilled soda behind the machine. I know the ants didn't come from my house, because we just got home and I don't have ants in my car. I just wanted to share this incident because I don't know if a supervisor was notified or not. I really hate that this is the ONLY Panda Express in Vacaville because I LOOOOVE Panda! I have been to this place more times than I can count and have tried everything that is not shellfish, so I could get a good idea of what is really good here. One of the problems is that the drive thru takes FOREVER! I literally listened to my recorded anatomy lecture from class while waiting to place an order...not get my food...place an order! In fact if you see more than three cars in front of you there is a good chance it will take about 30 mins to place your order, especially around dinner time. While I get that this isn't exactly a fast food place because it's an actual kitchen to prep/cook, 30 mins is a little insane. The other issue I have is that things will be out like the string bean chicken, mushroom chicken, or orange chicken. If they are out, why can't you put a magnet or something on the drive thru board saying you are out. That way I can order more quickly and not have to rethink what I want. Things like this just help make it a little easier and quicker. Also, please repeat back the orders in the drive thru because I have had plenty of combos where I wanted lo main, orange chicken and broccoli and beef and somehow I end up with Beijing beef. It's very frustrating! Can I also have the cost of my order BEFORE I drive to the window? I like to use cash and have it ready when I get there...I can't do that if you don't tell me until I get to the window. I mean, isn't that protocol at drive thru's? It was when I worked at the ones I worked at when I was younger. Lastly, how come when I order mushroom chicken or broccoli and beef (like tonight's broccoli and beef) I literally had one piece of beef but had over a handful of broccoli? I am all down with eating veggies but geez, could I get some protein too? I really wish the management team would step up and fix this place because it could be amazing with the right people. First things first, get people that are actually motivated to work and do well. Fix the drive-thru situation because that is what most of the reviews seem to be about. Suggestions: 1- Use magnets to show what is out of stock on the drive thru board when it happens each day. I am beyond pissed with the service this Panda Express has shown during this fake crisis I guess the hours have changed but on yelp and your website one show 2230 and another shows 2200 but I guess you close at 2130 this really needs to be updated so I order online for a pickup at 2152 I pay for my food drive to the location and they told me that they are closed and have no food so I asked for my refund and the tell me I have to come back the next morning to get it. I refused and wanted to speak to a manager but was informed that one was not there last time I worked in the fast food business we always had a night shift manager.
