My veggies were crunchy and not bland, Sweet Fire chicken was good but the Kung Pao was mushy ( I ate it anyway because I'm a bottom feeder). The staff were friendly. On Friday 5/21/21 @7:21 pm, I picked up some food for my son at this location. When we got home, I happen to take off the lid of his soda. I was shocked to see there were ants in his drink. I called the restaurant and notified the employee who picked up. She admitted that the ants probably came from the spilled soda behind the machine. I know the ants didn't come from my house, because we just got home and I don't have ants in my car. I just wanted to share this incident because I don't know if a supervisor was notified or not. Hopefully a higher up will see this message and remedy the issue. Not trying to be Karen, but I'm sure anyone reading this comment doesn't like ants swimming in their drink either. Came here for lunch today on my way through the area. Other than the long line, service was decent and the portion sizes were on par with other locations. Food was hot / fresh, but that's typical of my experience since I normally order Supergreens and Teriyaki Chicken. All in all, I'd come here again. We called the store multiple times, the girl on the phone said the drivers are from a different company and we need to get our refund from them. They didn't even offer to remake the food or anything, and it took my parents to go to the store for any help from the employees. Also we didn't get any sauces with our rice, so that was very dry and bland as well. Will avoid this location for sure, you should probably too. Many other great choices around this area, especially in the Nut Tree plaza and surrounding areas. I really hate that this is the ONLY Panda Express in Vacaville because I LOOOOVE Panda! I have been to this place more times than I can count and have tried everything that is not shellfish, so I could get a good idea of what is really good here. One of the problems is that the drive thru takes FOREVER! I literally listened to my recorded anatomy lecture from class while waiting to place an order...not get my food...place an order! In fact if you see more than three cars in front of you there is a good chance it will take about 30 mins to place your order, especially around dinner time. While I get that this isn't exactly a fast food place because it's an actual kitchen to prep/cook, 30 mins is a little insane. The other issue I have is that things will be out like the string bean chicken, mushroom chicken, or orange chicken. If they are out, why can't you put a magnet or something on the drive thru board saying you are out. That way I can order more quickly and not have to rethink what I want. Things like this just help make it a little easier and quicker. Also, please repeat back the orders in the drive thru because I have had plenty of combos where I wanted lo main, orange chicken and broccoli and beef and somehow I end up with Beijing beef. It's very frustrating! Can I also have the cost of my order BEFORE I drive to the window? I like to use cash and have it ready when I get there...I can't do that if you don't tell me until I get to the window. I mean, isn't that protocol at drive thru's? It was when I worked at the ones I worked at when I was younger. Lastly, how come when I order mushroom chicken or broccoli and beef (like tonight's broccoli and beef) I literally had one piece of beef but had over a handful of broccoli? I am all down with eating veggies but geez, could I get some protein too? I really wish the management team would step up and fix this place because it could be amazing with the right people. First things first, get people that are actually motivated to work and do well. Fix the drive-thru situation because that is what most of the reviews seem to be about. Suggestions: 1- Use magnets to show what is out of stock on the drive thru board when it happens each day. (Out of green beans so no more string bean chicken, etc.) 2- If a drive thru order is taking forever because someone ordered something that needs to be cooked still (or a large order of stuff) have them pull forward somewhere or park in a designated area to help the line and fulfill the other customers orders while they wait. read more
