Found this Chinese restaurant late at night when we were driving home from Universal Studios. We came in late about almost to their closing time, but they were very nice to still accommodate us. My wife ordered the food for us . They handle every dish nicely and really well seasoned it, we were not expecting its going to be that good because they were about to close when we came but everything turned out delicious, everything is Tasty and Flavorful. The staff was very nice. We didn't feel rushed eating even though there were only a few minutes left before their closing. Only the downside is when my wife started ordering and asking for specific ingredients that one of my Sons' friends is allergic to have in his food It's kind of hard to talk to the elderly taking our order it seems the person doesn't speak much English. It was our day off and we ended up napping till late night so most restaurants were closed and I didn't feel like cooking. We ended up ordering on DoorDash. It was one of few Chinese foods open late. They didn't have options for the steam table combo plates (not sure if they have that in store) so we ordered Shrimp Fried rice, and Assorted Wonton Soup. The soup was very hot (not spicy) and I ate it with a side of white rice. I didn't know what it would come with and the wontons didn't have much filling but it came with shrimp, chicken, mushrooms, carrots and cabbage in the soup. The Shrimp fried rice came in a bowl and we weren't expecting much but we both couldn't finish our meal. It was hearty and filling. I called the restaurant and asked for the manager. The girl started yelling at me. Said they don't sell chicken fried rice and threatened to sue me if I post this. We couldn't even eat our $70 worth of food. Got the orange chicken, bbq pork, chicken lo mein and fried shrimp. Food tasted weeks old. It should have been a sign that I kept hearing the microwave go off as I was waiting for my order. My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this absolute hidden gem on our anniversary night. We were dressed down in our cozies for the evening but were craving some Chinese food. It was about 8:00 pm, older man eating soup at one table (presumably the owner?) another very nice lady greets us, seats us and drinks us. The ambiance is second to none if you are looking for family-owned, non-capitalistic vibes. The very sweet older man (aforementioned) was the one bringing our meals and cutlery throughout the night. We got the deal for 2, little over 30 bucks for a very generous amount of food. Some of the best Chinese food we've eaten in a long time. If you ever get a chance, please give it a try. Great little family restaurant, food taste great especially the sichuan (mapo) tofu, the garlic chicken was delicious as well, came with free rice. Owner and her dad was warm and friendly, nice hard working people. The owner supported herself through law school and running the restaurant at night, I am impressed and you should be too! I ordered the, "B" family dinner with egg rolls, beef broccoli, chicken with vegetables and orange chicken. The orange chicken seemed dry and the sauce was inconsistent with many pieces hard and dry. The fried rice has very little flavor and the beef broccoli had lots of beef with a bunch of pieces not very tender. The chicken with vegetables was also very light in flavor and not much variation in vegetables. There were maybe 3 slivers of mushrooms, a half dozen pieces of green pepper and soggy onion. If it was cooked fresh the onions wouldn't be thin and translucent. Overall the price was fair but hard to compare to restaurants in Hawaii. read more

Customer service is absolutely terrible. The elderly lady working at the front didn't speak any English so when I questioned if an order I was picking up to deliver to a customer was accurate, she ran to the back to speak to a gentleman. He came out speaking to her(in a foreign language)but she was still confused. He then became irritated that she kept questioning him as there was 2 orders there both of which were not labeled with customer names or order content info. He turned his attitude towards me as if I was causing a problem. As a delivery driver I was just trying to clarify the order I was picking up was correct for both my customers satisfaction & as is my job to ensure when providing delivery services. He then began yelling at me to confirm my order (which had already been done but he didn't believe me). I showed him my phone & that I had confirmed the order.. at that point my app was on a screen to 'confirm delivery' but he still thought it was to confirm pickup & he followed me halfway out the door continuing to yell at me about what i needed to do. I informed him i had done my job correctly & he was directing his anger at the wrong person as I was only trying to confirm my customers order was correct & that he needed to ensure the front of the house had their part in order to prevent these issues going forward & left. He was extremely hostile, rude & inappropriate. I would never recommend anyone to go there after my encounter with them & their unprofessionalism. read more

Very average Chinese food. I've only had takeout and would not dine there as the small dining room is not appealing. Most of the dishes I've tried are bland. Not bad, just not much flavor. The chow main and fried rice especially. At least the orange chicken had some tang. Egg rolls were a bit greasy. The prices are average for what you get. Pretty generous portions. We get the meal A for 2 people which will run you about $29 total, and for us we have leftovers. Located in a strip mall at the very busy intersection of Harbor and GG Blvd. Plenty of parking. The food was delicious. The cheese rangoon (cream cheese wontons), kung pao chicken, and beef and broccoli dishes were my favorites. I'm so happy to have found a really good local Chinese restaurant in garden grove. The service was slow, but that's because the food is made fresh. We ordered dinner for 3 so it came with 3 individual rice sides (a really good decent size in my opinion- at least more than I should have based on my carb intake) Chose the egg rolls as app. Not the best, fast food Chinese food has better veggie rolls. These tasted like previously frozen. Anywho, we still munched them down. The dinner came with 3 shareable sides so we chose chow mein, Kung pao chicken and broccoli with beef. B.B. has tasty sauce and plenty of garlic - yum- Kung pao was tolerable spicy with a small kick. Chow mein tasted homemaid, which I've never had but it didn't taste like fast food Chinese. The rice was plainly fried with a sauce probably soy sauce. No veggies or egg. But it was really good in flavor and texture like the rice my Korean coworkers make. We could hear the older lady arguing/speaking/joking? with the cooks. You can never tell but the food was good. Hubby and I had water and my niece had lemonade which wasn't too sour. Again homemade? Overall bill was 38 and some change. Soon after we had ordered I saw the 2 star ratings and had an uh oh feeling but most reviews are complains about service and problems with delivery. My point of view on this: if you like it than order online/phone and pick up yourself. Or eat there. This place is worth coming back. We will definitely give it another try again. read more
