Since the remodel I have only experienced the new home for Panda Inn once. The place is definitely an upgrade from the original. The service was ok, very fast pace waiters giving the in and out service vibe... get you in, get you out. This place is good for larger parties/work lunches/dinners. The Bar is nice and well lit all around. However I was not impressed with the food quality... it needs to be a little more elevated and less Panda Express level. Not sure if I will give this place a second try if the closest alternative (Panda Express) is down the street. read more

We had a wonderful time at Panda Inn La Palma. I went with a group of six. When we walked in we were warmly greeted by the staff, and the wonderful Asst. Mgr Cindy gave us a short history lesson of Panda on the way to our table. The GM Penny even greeted us, which is rare in my personal restaurant dining experience. Despite being busy after the divisional game, the service was on-point. They took our order and the food came out very quickly, including a special complimentary Mapo Tofu which is not usually on the menu they said. All the food was very tasty and well-presented including the Walnut Shrimp, Mongolian beef, Orange beef, soups and the beef salad. Shout out to our server William and Bobbi. Don't let her small frame fool you. She moved with ease despite the large tray. I'd say it was a wonderful dining experience and very different from it's sister, fast-food version Panda Express. read more

Calo is delicious and very authentic. To start off the refried black beans served with salsa and chips are so good. The margaritas are wonderful! We got two amazing drinks, the tamarindo and mezcal paloma. Both were just great. Then we shared the Burria queso tacos, delicious!! And then we split the steak fajitas and boy was it delicious!! The steak was tender and so flavorful, the rice and refried pinto beans were so good and taste homemade, then the homemade corn tortillas are just the perfect touch. Everything we ordered was fantastic! The service was great and the ambiance is very cool and they play good music. Overall a 10 out of 10 experience! We can't wait to return. read more

But we decided for comfort and came here the service is just amazing the amount of waiters passing by checking in! The service was just unbelievable today. This complaint is more around the process than anything. Came here with a family of 4. Two kids and my wife. We ordered 4 items and were given the full size items vs regular. We weren't given any options or suggestions. The noodle dish alone was so big, enough probably for 8-10 people. Service was good. But this seemed like a push for a bigger check. It's as if we were told to order 3 XL pizzas for 4. We have tons of left overs. So it'll work out. But servers should know better. read more

Covid 19 dine in release I brought the family to enjoy a lovely dinner. They provided indoor and outdoor seating. Due to mosquitos loving us, we chose to eat inside. They were adherent to social distance and skipped every other table which was good. The service was slow considering there was only one other table in the same eating area. I had to get up multiple times to get utensils, napkins and the check. The food menu has shrunk. Simplified and has two price points for regular or family. The prices seem steep but when you think about this year, you'd understand why. It's amazing how anyone is still in business. The food was phenomenal and delicious. Regular portions size seemed huge. I fed my family of four and still had left over. Hard to imagine how big the family size is. One observation I noticed is that the Asian manager lady should have corrected an employees confusing with a to go customers bill out of costumer. She straight up scolded him as I was waiting to get my bill paid. I felt bad for the employee. Every one is learning and as a manager, she should have known better. read more

Panda Inn was our family's go to Chinese restaurant for the past 25plus years. However, after ordering take out I am beginning to think Panda Inn has been misrepresenting their reputation. I ordered the family size upside down noodles with chicken. In the past, this was an amazing dish that everybody enjoyed eating. However, my family was very disappointed to discover that there was hardly any vegetables. A few veggies were represented but not enough to satisfy anybody in this family. A couple of months ago my family celebrated one of our relatives 100th birthday and the upside down noodles was very good. I am sad to say that you did not repeat that wonderful dish. Orange chicken was very good and didn't have those extremely large pieces you would sometimes get at an express. The black bean fried fish was my favorite dish for sure. The ambiance is 8/10 casual dining. The food is good , the portions are variable . The food is 8/10 the reason why is everytime I dine in the portions are different either I get lots of shrimp or I hardly get anything . And that is when I order the regular size shrimp fried rice. The service on the weekends honestly sucks you only get to see your server probably 2 times when you order and when the food arrives. Honestly, you have to stand up and refill your drinks beg them for hot sauce and literally you can walk out with out being acknowledged. Was brought to Panda Inn for my birthday and it was fantastic. The honey walnut shrimp is amazing--easily the best of the dishes we had. We also had the lobster wantons and the sauce over the top was incredible. The service wasn't the warmest or friendliest, but that didn't bother me all that much. Our group was lively enough that it didn't matter. The place was clean and the food in the air all smelled wonderful. Would recommend. Really good stuff. read more
