I use to love coming to this place....but not anymore. I ordered egg flower soup and on their digital menu board it says $7.59. I went to pay and she charged me $7.89. I told her that the price is wrong, and she stated it is only it is only 2 dimes, which she is wrong. It is 3 dimes. She refused to pay me the difference, I am not a cheapskate, but it is the principle. I wonder how many people have been taken for their money without them knowing it. So just before I grabbed my food I told her, that they need to update the menu. I get it, times are getting harder, and prices are rising, but be upfront about it. But when I said that it is not fair to have the wrong price up there and if the Better Business Bureau came in and saw the mistake it would not be taken lightly. Her tone changed really quick, and when my soup was ready she still only gave me 2 dimes back. LoL. Never the less, people should not have to ask or throw out a threat for what the pay for. Not coming back to this location again. The food is not even at a decent level, had a difficult time trying to even enjoy the food. The food tasted old. They pack your togo boxes with plenty of food, which provides you with quantity. But that quantity only gets you so far when you can't even stand the taste and don't even eat half of your entrée. You have the option to select your size options from small to large. We tried their soup and we found what seemed to be a spider. Immediately threw the soup away. Personnel was okay, not anything above par. Cash transactions at this location. Don't see how this location has stayed open for as long as it has. They only thing they have to offer is parking, there are plenty of parking when coming to this plaza. Tough choice to score either three or four stars... the portions are very generous and definitely much more budget friendly than Panda. Now the food itself can be "eh" I am not a fan of their teriyaki chicken nor their chow mein, the noodles are too thick for my liking. The orange chicken is ok but not the best. Panda Wok is me and my husband absolute favorite Chinese food place. My favs are the orange chicken, chow mein noodles and black pepper chicken. Great food for a great price and they give you a lot for your money. The food is always fresh and warm. I've been to other places that keep their food out for hours. Not Panda Wok. We've been going here for about 5 years now. Love it and go back often even though we live closer to other Chinese places. We prefer to drive the 13 miles to Panda Wok. read more

One of the few Fast-food Chinese joints in Sylmar. Panda Wok is located in the same center as Fresh and Easy and Denny's. It looks just like any other small mom and pop place, a little rundown with not a lot of "glam" to it. They do have a few seats inside but I notice a lot of people take their order to-go. The food isn't bad and the prices are a-ok. The only downside is that they only accept cash. But, worry not they have an ATM on site. On a brighter note, if you're a regular they'll add a little extra here and there. What I mean is they feel it to the brim and don't skimp you like Panda Express. My family and I typically order pints from Panda Wok- Family style. Last time we got Orange Chicken which is just under $7 and feed 2-3 of us comfortably. Being new to the neighborhood, we have been trying all the restaurants around our place for the last few days. Last night we decided we wanted to have some Chinese food so we decided to try this place we had driven by previously. The sign outside was faded so I went inside the place to ask what time they w.ere open till. The ladies told me 9:30. It was 8:45 so we had time for a quick bite. I thanked them and told them I would get the rest of my family. They all just stared and said nothing. As I was exiting their door, they all started chattering excitedly in another language. In the couple of minutes that I was gone to get my family, they flipped all the chairs onto the tables, moved all the remaining tables to the sides, and were mopping. The OPEN sign had been turned off. Really? We will never bother again with this restaurant. They could have gained some new customers but obviously didn't feel like serving us.
