This is a GREAT little Indonesian restaurant. Everything is made fresh, so they are happy to make anything on their menu to your preference (chicken instead of fish, vegetarian, etc.) And, you can get anything mild, medium or hot. The decor and size of the dining room makes for a warm, cozy atmosphere. Although they have a few larger tables, it's best suited for party's of 4 or less - perfect for a couples night out. The owners are very friendly and have come around - every time I've been there - to be sure you are happy with everything. The wait staff is also very friendly and helpful. FYI...it's BYO. Fantastic Asian Fusion restaurant. One of the managers at Lowes had recommended this store after we had requested a good asian restaurant for dinner. This is a BYOB. I had ordered their chicken special and the wife went with one of their shrimp which were both perfectly cooked. shrimp were large and juicy unlike the ones we get at other places. Server and staff were friendly and had catered to our spice requirements. For Indian guys: order extra spicy or ask the server to get the extra-hot spice on the side. Mild is really mild. Only -ive thing: Parking. I had parked in the seedy looking conveinence stores parking (right across the street) and i was asked to move to a different darker lot (also across the street). My family were excited to find out there was a dim sum place closer to our home and, with a couple of people recommending this place, we couldn't wait. We got there and liked the way it looked outside with tables and flowers. When we got inside it was smaller and quaint with even a small bench with a couple of books. Unfortunately that was all that we liked about the place. There was no one that greeted us for several minutes (a group of 6 is hard to miss in tiny place like this one). Then we were moved to a tight fitting area even though there was a room that was practically empty (with only 2 people there). The table was dirty with bits of food still on it and the chairs were wet. No menus or mention of cost or items without us asking what the selection were. It took even longer for us to get the drinks. Weirdly enough, the first thing we got were dipping sauce (before we ordered anything, before utensils were given to us). When the girl came over with the cart of food, she nonchalantly lifted a crumpled sheet of foil, grabbed the containers of food, showed it while mentioning the food and then put them back one the cart in a tasteless almost clanking way. The food came before we got plates. The cart of food was all cold (you can tell it was cold just by looking at it). The cost of everything was ridiculous (a half a can of soda with half a glass full of ice was $2 and each tiny play of cold tasteless food was $4). The best thing about the food was the dipping sauce. Needless to say that it was unanimous that we would never come back again. read more

First time trying this place out. Food was a solid 9/10. My girlfriend is picky so she just got rice and chicken but she still enjoyed every single bite! I got the Masaman Duck and and everything about it was phenomenal other than the fact that it was fried :/. The crispy bits had a weird aftertaste but everythung on the plate was amazing. Especially the curry sauce that came with it. Our waitress, Ashley was enthusiastic, very friendly, and most importantly, brutally honest. I have been going to the Pandan Room ever since it opened. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting- they did a great deal with that small space and have finally expanded. One thing that stands out is how FRESH everything is. We always order an entree salad as an appetizer for the table and love the fresh crisp veggies and homemade salad dressing (at least I think it is!). The traditional dishes are good, but the dim sum dishes are mediocre. They are mostly overpriced and usually just lukewarm.

Went there this past Saturday night .. place was different but with a warm cozy feel ... food was ok .. service was great ... however as we paid the bill I noticed a roach on the floor .. it scattered and went towards the wall .. I wasn't looking for a free meal .. the waitress did apologize.. went as far as telling the manager... and this is where the problem set in ... Manager never came to speak to us and offer their apology .. manager looked our way and decided the matter was not important... you have roaches in your establishment.. .. a simple thank you for letting you know and an apology from management and not the staff would have been appreciated... I hesitated for a moment and thought .. let me ask to speak to management... but then quickly realized it was simply not worth my time and energy.... the food we took to go was left in the garbage.. not going there again .. This place was AMAZING! Nothing bad to say at all - the waitresses were all so sweet, the chef even waived out to us from the kitchen, and the food, the BEST part. I have never experienced such great Thai food at SUCH a great price. My boyfriend and I ate all we could, apps, drinks, entrees and left with a $50.00 tab with leftover food for the next days lunch! I think it's important for Pandan to realize that their partnership with MC may cause more harm than good. I never write reviews but today's experience blew my mind! Never did I recive customer service that was this bad. Keep in mind me and my husband are ( now "were") regulars at Pandna Room. We love Thai food, and usually we enjoyed their food. We called in before hand and reserved a table for 4. We show up at 5:00pm and we were seated but we asked to be seated at a different table that we perfered more (restaurant was still empty) We were having a good time with our friends. Our waiter was doing the bare minimum and at the end our waiter brought out the check. A random waiter ( tall, blonde, tattoos over his head) RUNS up to us doesnt make eye contact, taps at our bill and said "is it ready, whats up with that?" We got our money out right away. Than he returned saying " I need you guys to leave right now, you left under 18% tip and the owner told you guys to leave." We left over 10% since the service wasnt the greatest. We stood up in shock to leave, and on our way out and the blonde waiter and someone else shouted out "never come back". We sure won't be coming back. Went out with 5 of my girlfriends which I thought was going to be a peaceful dinner. The waitress became very defensive that one of my friends wanted to change her jasmine rice to noodles. The waitresss said "I already put in your order!!!... and she was pissed. My friend simply said I tried to get your attention but I couldn't. Then the waitress started saying "you are negative, I am not waiting on you,", I am too positive for this shit!. Mind you the order was just given to the kitchen. I thought , omg, this waitress is refusing to serve one of my friends. Then the waitress starting serving soup and dropped some of the soup near my friend who said " oops you almost dropped that on me. Well by the end of the meal the waitress came over and started to apologize and then picked a fight with the whole table accusing us of letting my friend verbally abuse her. Wow!!!... then the waitress was asked to stop talking to us which enraged her and she was screaming throughout the restaurant and started calling my friend " butch"... it was awful!!!.. she literally ruined our dinner and could not accept the fact that her poor attitude to my friend was the cause of the fight. I will never go to this restaurant again and plan on calling the owner today. Very uncomfortable and very unprofessional environment. Won't go back to eat inside. read more
