Today after a quick trip to Quest, we went to Panera's for a quick breakfast. Dave had the Spinach Bacon Soufflé and I had the new "Wake Up BLT Bagel Stack". We had two large coffee too. Dave's Soufflé was just perfect and delicious. I was disappointed in my Bagel Stack. Whatever the sandwich was on didn't resemble a bagel. It looked more like an everything bagel roll coated with a lot of stuff and very salty. I also didn't care for the arugula which topped the sandwhich. I've had lots of breakfast sandwiches here and this was my least favorite. Coffee was great. service as always was wonderful. Atmosphere was clean and ready for a busy day. I was skeptical given some of the bad reviews but this Panera is actually quite nice! Super clean inside, staff is very polite, and overall a pleasant experience. Food is good as long as you pick carefully - id avoid all their baked goods (croissant was bleh) but their salads and soups are always delicious. Mac n cheese is also 11/10. Check your takeout orders because they are cheating you out of what you pay for. I ordered a Frontega Chicken Sandwich which is suppose to have Mozzarella Cheese. I took my order trusting that it was done right but oh no.......they take advantages of take out orders counting on you not reviewing it before you leave. Panera is usually one of my favorites. I don't know what's going on at this one. Staffing in kitchen? Chicken salad sandwich had about a single tablespoon of chicken salad. I opened the sandwich up because the first bite was nothing but bread. Another visit I ordered a grilled cheese. The bread wasn't toasted at all. Panera Bread just opened a brand new location in Cape Coral on Cape Coral Parkway East. Located in the Winn Dixie Shopping Plaza near the front corner of the lot. Although newly opened, this location has been received well and was doing a brisk business when we stopped for lunch this afternoon. This restaurant is fully handicapped compliant with a wheelchair ramp and accessible parking. Parking within the boundaries of the restaurant landscaping is extremely limited, so you may find it necessary to use parking in other areas of the lot, like we did today. It seemed they had additional staff on hand to help handle training issues and the initial business rush. The service and ambiance is the same good quality you find at most locations for this chain but with the additional sparkle that comes from opening a new store. Panera Bread has adapted to today's marketplace offering a variety of ordering options including: online mobile orders, self-serve kiosks, full service counter orders and the ability to take a seat and order food from their App. Seating offered inside includes tables and booths. Additionally, there are several outside tables with umbrellas for dining al fresco. Today was full of rain and bluster, so we ordered soup. The tomato bisque and broccoli cheddar were both tasty, as expected. They offered us a cookie for .99 and we decided it would be rude to refuse. This has got to be the most welcoming and amazing service I have ever had. I have never been to a Panera Bread before and was hesitant. Kayleigh was AMAZING. She gave me samples and was so sweet. I wish I owned a company because she is a wonderful, patient, and accommodating employee. They are extremely to have her on their team. The food at Panera is always good, but the customer service at this location is definitely lacking. We came in a half hour before closing and each ordered a bowl of soup. They gave us our soup in To Go containers, but we didn't order it to go. When we asked about it we were told they always start doing Their orders in To Go containers one half hour before closing. We began to eat, only to realize there was nothing to set our bread on between bites. (We did get plates to set our bread on when we asked for them). We were enjoying our food when a server came up, the exact minute they closed and said "Just wanted to let you know we just closed and you have 10 minutes to get out of here". I'm not kidding! Ordered two flat breads Sunday evening November 22, 2020. Estimated Delivery time between 6:22 pm and 6:32 pm. Got a text a 6:30 pm that our order was on its way. When it got to be 7:05 pm I called Panera Bread on Cape Coral Pkwy in Cape Coral, Florida to find out our order status and the lady told me he had two other orders before ours and he'll be delivering ours after the other two. So finally at 7:40 pm over an hour late the delivery person drops off our meal at the front door. Never mind we ask for contact free delivery and requested our order be placed inside door on table in our Lanai. Our flat breads where delivered cold and hard which we then heated in our oven for 10 minutes. There was no Basil on our Margherita Flatbread and we had ordered extra sauce which we also didn't get. If you are hungry you better pick up your food yourself or you'll probably be really be starved by the time it gets to you. Very bad experience!!! read more

Every time I give them another chance to get my order correct they fall flat. last time I ordered red onions on my sandwich and they barely put any on when I asked for extra and they decided to leave a big chunk of onion peel on my sandwich. This time my roasted turkey sandwich which I requested pickled red onions barely had any on there. I called and spoke to a manager and told them about this issue and that they screw up my order more times than I can count. I also had to add my own mayonnaise to my sandwich because it was not put on there when they made it. I did not exclude mayonnaise when I customized my sandwich. The ordering machines don't work. You go to the counter and give your order then trying to find a table that had been cleaned wasn't easy ,everywhere you wanted to sit was so so glaring with sun you couldn't see.
