Saturday afternoon with my kids. I've never been to a Panera before but my daughter had been with a friend and wanted to go back because she liked the Tortellini Alfredo and wanted it again. I saw this as a good sign. Walking into the place I saw a couple of outside tables not cleared. Didn't think much of it but in retrospect, I should had heeded the signs. We ordered, got our drinks (they didn't have ice btw ????) and went outside. Tables still not cleared. Food showed up way too quickly - not something that I normally complain about it's just a sign that I may be about to eat something pre-made. Sure enough, my soup, Thai WonTon Bowl, was made with what was obviously canned beef broth and the "wontons" were pre-made frozen tortellinis! I'm no "foodie" by any stretch of the imagination but seriously folks, tortellini are not wontons! Also btw, there is a reason there are no salt shakers on the tables. They are so not necessary. To be fair, my daughters liked their food and the bread that came with the soup was okay (bread with Thai?). However, after we finished, we went shopping for about an hour. After shopping, we had to walk past Panera's to get back to our car and guess what. Yep, the outside tables were still not cleaned. read more

This particular Panera Bread location is horrible needless to say I used to order from them once a week but when you order online for delivery they almost always get the order wrong and when you call the manager "JEREMY " he does absolutely nothing about the order that they once again got wrong and he gives you a nasty attitude! I called corporate and they apparently act the same it's like they hired the nastiest people to work customer service. Panera only gets worse. Slow grumpy service with cold food. Last week I came and waited 20 minutes for food , said computer issues. When it arrived soup was cold, sent it back still cold. Tried again today . Flatbread had very little in it. And Burned. Management thinks it can survive on passing trade . Bad mistake . At a recent visit to Panera Bread for my favorite salad, the chicken cobb, I noticed if was off menu and the Green Goddess salad was substituted in its place. It should be called the green god awful salad. Talk about disappointment-the dressing was very acidy, and astringent. Who is the brain trust at Panera who took the chicken cobb off the menu? I will not be dining at Panera as there are no suitable salad choices for me. Culver's has won my business of late with their chicken bacon bleu salad. Wake up management! read more

Wow, Panera's franchises have really gotten away from them. At this location, not only did they not wash my apple, served as a side to my ever decreasing in size salad, their bathroom wasn't clean and apparently having significant issues with one stall out of order and the other decorated with black and red duct tape in multiple places. I have an old beef with this chain over their policies regarding adding cream cheese to a bagel. As a result I think of them in a negative light and never consider Panera as a place I should go when I'm thinking of places to go. Even though (possibly) as a result of a letter I once wrote to them they have changed their policy. That said, each time I do go I am pleasantly surprised (as long as I am not ordering a bagel) at the variety on the menu and I have never had a meal there that I didn't think tasted good. I really should get over my issue and give these folks a chance but it still bugs me. They do have a fast and efficient food delivery system for dining in and their soups and sandwiches are decent quality and tasty. I like that there is a healthy alternative to potato chips as a side. In case you're wondering, my beef is that if you order a bagel with cream cheese, you will get exactly that. a bagel (possibly not even sliced in half) and a little aluminum tube of cream cheese. What's the big deal about that? I'll tell you. If you asked them to actually spread the cream cheese onto the bagel the old policy was to refuse. It's fine if the SOP is to not spread the cream cheese. but to not do it even when requested? that is an egregious error in customer service. What is the big deal? If I wanted to make my own sandwich then I would not be spending 3 times its value for the privilege. I would just buy my own bagels at a supermarket or bagel place and a tub or foil of cream cheese and then do it myself. if I ordered a turkey sandwich would they give me 2 slices of bread separate from a hunk of turkey and a pile of lettuce? No they would not. so why are they so stingy on the bagel service? I fully acknowledge that this is my own personal issue, and a dead one at that since somewhere along the line they did change their policy and will now, upon request, spread the cream cheese, grudgingly (and usually with snark). It has always just left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

Panera Bread used to be fast, clean and reasonable. those days are gone. I have tried it a few times times since moving to Florida and been disappointed each time. they changed their great Italian sandwich to an average sandwich with 3 very small thin slices of meat, 1 small slice of cheese, spread, sprouts on a very short Italian roll. basically it is a rip off for the price. it is not fast, clean and reasonable anymore. sad indeed. read more

A month ago me and my co-workers order lunch, used their delivery service. Not only did it take over 2 hrs from time ordered the food was cold and mushy. Manager said she'd give a refund on order, never happened. Add to that we ate now listed as out of delivery area even though we are less than 3 miles away. Very unprofessional. I used to go at least once a week sometimes more. Will not go there again, nor do any of my co-workers. read more

The food is average at best. They frequently run or of things like the bread bowls. Bread bowls are the reason we come here. .. sigh. They recently put in tablets to order off of. So it's restaurant prices with no personal service. We only had cash to we used the register. The attendant never greeted us. When we asked what other sides came with the kids meal, she said them so fast we couldn't understand her. Then they were out of bread bowls, then she had a conversation with a co-worker about his phone charger. We paid and ate outside because it was freezing inside. The food came out and my food had a long black hair on it. Yes it was re-made promptly...but the manager never came and said sorry or anything and nothing was even comped or anything...sadly I visited this Panera before but this will be my last time visiting here again poor customer service on their part! read more

This place is terrible.They have a new ordering system on a computer system and no one seems to be able to operate.Very frustrating to the customers. Ordered a steak sandwich with cheese,lettuce,tomatoes and bacon. Got spicy maio,lettuce. I would not recommend buying any stock in this company. read more

I love their pick 2 combo's. The french baguette pulled apart into their hot chicken and wild rice soup is yummy. The last time I was there I had a turkey panini sandwich which I did not like though. I do think that they shouldn't discourage customers from tipping though. They do actually serve you, deliver your food, and help you if you need an extra something to make your meal better, plus they clear your plates. A few bucks certainly helps make their lives a little better and the company should leave it up the customer's discretion. You tip at a buffet and they don't even bring your food to you. My only complaint about this place is that is gets packed during the week. The food is always great, and the wait staff is friendly and fast. My favorite meal is the broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl! Yum! read more

If I could rate this no stars, I would. I used the kiosk to order my food and pay. The machine kept telling me my payment was not going through so I tried it multiple times and even tried on two different cards. Checked my bank account and $100 later....the transactions were deducted. The "manager" offered no assistance and told me the money should be back in my account automatically. Where's the money?! I made an account just to review this place. It's awful, and you need to know to avoid this place like a disease. I've been here a couple times because Cape Coral has like 2 places to eat near my house. We come here on those occasions where we want something light to eat. DON'T. The first time I ate here, there was plastic in my food. After letting the staff know, they pulled up a chair and explained how I would need to keep in touch with their upper offices because they just can't understand how I nearly swallowed a small chunk of plastic. We're here again now and there was hair in my boyfriend's food. They dropped the cookie we ordered on the floor next to us by mistake, then brought us a new one. They placed a brownie on the table. We didn't order a brownie. They come back out and ask "did you order this?" In an accusatory tone and then snatch it off the table. Probably to set it on someone else's table. Seriously? Whats going on in this panera???? I used to love panera alot more till i started going to the one on ne pine island rd. Recently and they are incomplete and imcompetent lacking in vital thoughts that concern the customer..For Example as i approached the register for some reason at this panera they never ask you for your rewards ever and then upon asking them if i can put it in after i had gotten my food i get this reply..."oh its too late now you have to do it online sorry" wich is also infuriating because the other panera bread located in ft myers always asked me for it and # 2nd thing i didnt like wich is why i said they dont take into consideration for the customer is because when i usually get the souffle at the other panera bread in ft myers they usually put it in a container but not where was my souffle AT THE BOTTOM OF MY BAG WiTH NO CONTAINER So by the time i made it to my destination wich is 10 minutes away it wasnt that hot at all oh and a coconut macaroon placed on top of my open top souffle ??????? Why??? Just why ..#3 thing i hated about my last visit is my salad and my sandwich for my pick two WERE IN THE SAME BAG therefore ten minutes later when i arrived my pick two since. It was in the same bag ..my salad was warm and not good looking and my sandwich ...meh ..this panera better straighten their act there is something wrong with how they are running it ...i am not even greeted upon arrival to the register she just stared at me and then u get "what would you like" ?really ..how about i just go to the panera in ft myers atleast they know what a customer WANTS AND EXPECTS ALL i ask is fast friendly ,SMART service and more hygienic approaches this panera would rather leave your warm item at the bottom of your bag getting cold and place there filthy bag on top of your food....???? This is the worst service ever. The girl at the register put the order in wrong (we were unaware at the time) and then it took forever for it to get to our table. Two groups of people who ordered after us got their food and we had nothing. When we asked, they brought us 1 item we ordered and the rest was wrong. I went up with my receipt and told them what it should have been and they still couldn't get it right. It was a broth bowl NOT a salad. Still nothing! So the second time I spoke to them I said I wanted my money back for what I couldn't seem to get. A girl, who appeared to be in a management position, gave me the money back and when I told her this was the worst service EVER she never even apologized. After all this, my husband had finished his broth bowl but still hadn't received his half sandwich. They finally made him one to go. We'll never go back to the Cape Coral location, no one there seems to know what they're doing nor do they care. read more
