$2.99 plus 11% tax for hot brown water.

An awesome opportunity to sit with a cup of coffee and warm up on a very cold morning, I stopped in to this Panera at 7am and stayed for a bit. The staff working this morning were friendly as I looked over the baked goods they were setting up. One large cup of coffee, which I filled at the urns. The hazelnut coffee was weak and devoid of flavor. I would call it "hot and brown." Not good and after half, I dumped it. A second cup from the "light roast" was better though still weak. $2.99 for a large coffee (plus 11% tax) for a total of $3.32? That's bonkers. Next time, I'll get coffee at Dunkies. (There's also a Starbucks across the way with a very long drive through queue.) [Review 19345 overall - 923 in South Carolina - 315 of 2023.]

Turkey Avocado BLT with a pickle chips and a cookie. Catered lunch to our office
    Rebecca A.

We have used this Panera Bread location the last two months to feed our software customers for lunch using their catering. The group in March was for around 25 while the group this week was closer to 50. Victoria places the order the day before and then picks it up before lunch. Both times everything ordered was what we received. Pretty impressive if you ask me! Out of the options we are given I've selected the turkey, bacon avocado sandwich. The catering boxes come with the sandwich, a bag of chips, a pickle and a cookie. Both times I've had to take the bacon off because it's under cooked and soggy and really just unappetizing to look at. I wish the sandwich would get more than one slice of avocado. I love avocado!!! The cookie is soft and yummy! We are hosting another live event next month so I'm sure we'll be ordering again. Keep up the good work.

Awesome staff. Super chill. Super professional and super nice. That is the trifecta of customer service. Spacious seating, good coffee, great salads and right in the heart of Tanger and the Coliseum. This is a good place to grab a quick bite or sit and work

Cup of broccoli cheddar with a bag of chips.

There's nothing wrong with the taste of the food. In fact they do a very good job with quality and taste. The place is clean and the employees are wonderful. My problem is that recently I have noticed that portion size has been cut in half. But the price is still the same. I bought a bagel, brought it home and did my best to cut it in half. It was like taking a slice of bread out and trying to cut the bread in half to make two slices out of one. I am going to have to spend my money where I get more for my dollar.

    Chicken noodle soup

I originally ordered broccoli cheddar soup (bowl) and they said they didn't have it. I said Chicken noodle soup is fine. This is how much soup they gave me. In a cup not a bowl like I originally ordered. I'm tired of spending so much money here for them to do this.

Today was windy and chilly and I was definitely was craving something warm and yummy. Called my friend asked if she wanted to meet up and get soup. This location was by the Tanger outlets which was perfect to head over to the mall once eating! I decided on the bread bowl with the Broccoli Cheddar Soup and it was delicious and the bread was yummy and the combination of both is just perfect together ! I predict more Panera Soup meet ups soon. We went around lunch time not to busy and the staff was beyond nice.

Good service and atmosphere, but their new chicken tikka masala soup is not it. It does not taste like chicken tikka, wish I could return food I don't like

I ordered the 1/2 honey fried chicken w/ mac & cheese and collard greens. For dessert, we shared pecan pie. The chicken was moist & delicious from being brined and seasoning in the batter. The batter was crunchy, and perfectly applied so you didn't bite into a hunk of just batter. Likewise, the sides were some of the best I had during my trip to SC. Lastly, the pecan pie was really good also. However, I was expecting a bigger & taller slice. Regarding the ambiance, its smart casual here. The decor is fancier vs the down home cooking. Danielle took very good care of us. She was friendly & attentive. Florence's did the trick for us. We had eaten a lot of raw seafood and BBQ. This Lowcountry cuisine gave us a nice change of pace during our trip.

My friend said the tomato pie was really good but it's all cheese and tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were crispy but needed seasoning. They were incredibly bland. For the main dish she ordered the smash burger and I ordered the fish and grits. She took one bite of the smash burger and sent it back saying it tasted like a frozen burger you'd get at Walmart. The fish and grits were ok. They too were bland and needed salt. A LOT of salt or any other seasoning. The okra, Lima beans and corn that come in this dish also tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. There is no seasoning in this dish whatsoever. Unfortunately this place was a miss and we won't be returning. Also the bathrooms look like a porta potty. You know the cheap plastic that porta potties are made out of? Yeah that's what the stalls are made out of. It looks so cheap and a big contrast from the rest of the restaurant. The staff was nice but they also look like they hate working here.

Our daughter (3) had the buttered noodles. For me, the prime rib was seasoned perfectly, and the horseradish was perfectly done, not overpowering but complementary to the flavor. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection! We finished off with the peach cobbler for dessert, and you've never had a peach cobbler like this; so good! Service was top notch, everything was timed perfectly and the recommendations were on point. The ambiance was really great; classy but relaxed. We love trying new places, but with a 3y and 6mo old, we are always a bit nervous how they will be received. The staff here were so kind. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt we belonged. One special mention, Melanie took time to stop by our table and engage us and our daughter in conversation (she's normally really shy). It was clear Melanie is sincere and really cares for people. Within a minute, our daughter was sharing all the things we've done and seen and was chatting away. This transformed the lunch into a true experience! Thank you for an amazing farewell lunch, we can't wait until we return!

The James doesn't stick out and I had driven by it hundreds of times since moving to the area. Parking was easy in the back lot and I was surprised to see just how packed it became by the time we left. Upon entering the staff was very nice and happy to see us. We got a table and got our menus. The cocktail menu looked exciting but we decided to skip drinks in lieu of dessert. For dinner my wife ordered the pecan fried chicken and I ordered the prime rib melt. The toasted cherry sauce was creamy and very tasty. I found the prime rib melt good. It unfortunately was a bit bland overall with the au jus being a bit too watered down. Overall though I think the food was good. For dessert we had a creme brûlée that was top notch. I'm glad we got that instead of drinks. Our server and the other service staff were attentive and quick. I drank a lot of water and didn't have to wait long for a refill. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and explore some other dishes.

I was hoping for a warmer and more helpful interaction, but found the service to be rather cold and unwelcoming. My grandmother would be so disheartened! My grandmother made the best kielbasa, so I have a pretty high standard when it comes to kielbasa. I couldn't help but think she would have been disappointed by both the kielbasa and the overall experience. People have raved about this place to us! The highlights were definitely the sauerkraut, onions and garlic, along with the Kosiuzcko mustard and the roll, which I purchased elsewhere. Those were delicious and made the meal much more enjoyable! I truly wanted to love this place, but it didn't live up to my expectations AT ALL! YUCK!
