Came here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This was my first time trying Panera Bread. Good sized variety menu with a lot of healthy options. I got broccoli and cheese soup and a chicken and bacon flat bread pizza. Good sized portions and both tasted great! Good layout and decor, clean and very friendly staff. You put your dishes away when done. Pay up front and get a little pager to pick up your food when it's ready, so no waitress. Up until recently this was one of my favorite places to grab lunch but they have messed my order up the last 2x I ordered through the drive through. The first time I was able to catch the mistake and have it corrected all while dealing with the attitude of the the person at the window. This location was all right. It was easy to get to, had ample parking, and was extremely spacious. The prices are somewhat expensive but that is all Panera locations. My one complaint would be that the serving size from this specific location was mediocre and had poor presentation compared to most Panera locations. I got the chipotle chicken avocado sandwich to go and when I got home I noticed there was very little avocado and close to no chicken. I paid $7 for bread and chipotle... when I called to explain this to them the recording said to call when it wasn't busy. So I did just that. Panera as a chain is great but I particularly like this location because its close and employees here are always very friendly (and patient when I'm taking entirely too long to figure out what to order). Yes, there's not a ton of seating so when I use the wifi to sit and get work done I go during off peak times so I'm not in the way. I love the in house bakery, last week I brought home a loaf of ciabatta and we brushed olive oil on it and put it on the grill for three minutes and used it for bruschetta... If I could boycott this place, I would. Alas, this is the only Panera in town... I was very disappointed to learn that this Panera was not participating in giving free selected breakfast sandwiches for veterans on the Veterans Day. I believe Panera Bread was offering this special deal nation-wide according to several Veterans Day specials websites. I really like Panera--their sandwiches, soups, and salads are excellent and very tasty with fresh ingredients and freshly baked bread. We also purchase and enjoy their freshly baked loaves on a regular basis. Customer service is usually excellent with cheerful and pleasant cashiers and all who work there. Generally speaking, I think this chain restaurant does have a very good customer service training for all who serve. I have never had a bad experience at Panera Bread, and I must've eaten at at least 20 different locations throughout the US. The store is usually pretty quiet for spending time reading or working on some project on my laptop. Free wifi is another good offer here besides the good food. That's another reason I like this place. It really gives you an inviting atmosphere. I hope they will reconsider their participation for the next year. There are many restaurants participating in honoring those who served and serving for the freedom of our nation in this very military friendly town. I've been going to Panera Bread for years and have been to many locations up and down the East Coast. My rating of 1 star is for the Clarksville, TN location (closest location to where I live). Once, just once I'd love it if they got an online order right!!! A bakers dozen is 13, not 12! If I request bagels to be placed in plastic bags that means ALL, not half! A full size sandwich order doesn't mean you give me 1/2 a sandwich! These are just some of the continuing issues I have had with this location. Not particularly happy with the decisions being made by the staff at this Panera bakery. I have family visiting and we collectively decided we wanted bagels for breakfast. After driving the 15 minutes to the Panera, ordering half a dozen bagels along with some other items and driving the 15 minutes back, we found two measly servings of cream cheese. We had asked the woman who was helping us if she had remembered the cream cheese to which she responded "it's in there" and proceeded to wrap up our items and get us on our way. "Did she really throw the cream cheese in there?" We wondered, as we chucked the bag in the trunk and made our way home to the rest of the fam. Come to find out she had in fact thrown said cream cheese in the bag. Aside from that she was very curt with us as well as clumsy with the rest of our items dropping most of it many times as she placed the items in the bag. The ticket on the outside of the bag is always right, but the contents don't match. If you go through the drive through, be sure to check your order thoroughly. If you pick up a carry out order, be sure to check it thoroughly. If you have to go back inside to correct your order, you'll feel like you might be invisible to the staff. Whoever the old lady is that works here is a complete b****. I always come and get an Iced coffee and they put caramel in it for me & then I go get the coffee and put my cream in it. When I went and asked for that today she tried to charge me for a latte when I explained I just wanted the coffee she explained that's just how she had to ring it up. I pay but instantly knew I wasn't going to receive the coffee like how I like it so I went back and asked for a refund and cancel my order. I explained to her that I'm very sorry but I don't like espresso and just wanted coffee. She tried to play it off saying it was the same thing and when I explained to her that I work at Dunkin so I know there's a difference between espresso beans and coffee beans and that I really just don't prefer it she replied with "well this isn't dunkin". I never during this conversation was being rude to her but all I was getting was backlash and rude and passive aggressive comments. I get this drink all the time and she made me feel like I was crazy and wrong when I knew exactly what I was talking about. I also explained the situation to my friends and multiple of them have said they have problems with the exact same woman!!! While it's probably not a big deal, I really enjoyed their coffee but from what she said "they don't do iced coffee with anything in it" so I guess I will no longer be getting coffee from Panera sadly. I also wanna add that I used to have the Panera coffee membership and each time I ordered I would put in the comments "please add caramel and cream" and they never had a problem with it! I'm sure it was just the lady that had the issue with it but if I get it so often you would think she would just do it for me? I'm sorry to say that in my opinion the relatively new Clarksville Panera is already slipping in quality. The last several times I've been inside the store it has been very dirty. Last night, as I approached the food pick up area to wait for my order, the stench from the garbage can right next to the pick up was overwhelming and sour. It's not a good idea to have the dirty dish/garbage drop right by where you pick up your food since it's an appetite killer, but I'm sure the management had no say in how the store was designed, so I don't fault them for the positioning. Because of that shortcoming in the stores design, they do need to be scrupulous about the trash being emptied frequently though, in order for it not to turn off diners as they wait to get their meals. There were many empty tables to sit at, but they were all dirty, so I picked the least disgusting one to sit at. That said, I generally stick to the drive-thru but I've begun having problems with my order being wrong. I always order the same salad and ask for no tomatoes or onions, but the past 2 times I have ordered it I've gotten home to discover that my request was ignored and the salad was covered in tomatoes and onions, neither of which I can eat. It's very annoying since Panera's salads aren't cheap and that's not a hard request. Just don't put them on it. How hard is that? I've even been questioned at the drive thru about why I don't want those 2 items (none of your business, really and you shouldn't ask your customers to explain their dietary preferences) which I found off putting. The employees are very friendly, but management probably needs to do some fine tuning on cleanliness and quality control. It's very frustrating to repeatedly have your order turn out wrong. I was turned off enough by the dirtiness of the dining room to not dine inside again. In the future I'm opening up my salad at the drive thru to make sure it's right before I leave and that shouldn't be a necessity. read more

Every time I have ordered from this Panera, either in person or through delivery, my order has been wrong. Most of the time they have forgotten major parts of my order, or just given me the entirely wrong items. They are constantly out of bagels, even before Covid, and are rude and act like you are annoying them when you let them know that your order is wrong. I will not be going back to this location again. Today they forgot my Flatbread, last time they gave me the wrong bowl, and forgot my cookie. They are also always out of quiches no matter how early you try to get there.
