Wanted to shout out Marcus working the drive-thru today! Very welcoming and friendly, and knew all about the menu to make suggestions. When I pulled up to the window, he noticed my dog in the backseat and offered me a pup cup. It got us chatting about our dogs for a second and it was just a really exceptional customer service experience! I'm a hospitality manager at a brewery, and we're always trying to deliver "magic moments" to our guests, this was one :) My sandwich came out super fast and the gent who ran it out was also very friendly. 1.6.20 This Panera store has been doing better. I really like how they place the "sealed for your safety" across the top of the coffee lid for your protection. Especially with the covid-19 virus still running rampant. They're very friendly here I've encountered lately. When you walk in at least one of the employees reaches out with a greeting. The restaurant itself is very clean. The rest room is clean with motion activated paper towel dispenser so you don't have to touch it at all. The parking lot is very large. This place just does not seen to care. If you decide to go here before you leave check your order. Like, really check it. Unwrap the sandwich and make sure you actually got what you ordered and paid for. The food is not bad but based on my experience you have a 33% chance of not getting what you ordered or being shorted. Today I ordered 2 sandwiches and 2 pastries. Got 2 sandwiches and one pastry. My last visit I ordered 2 sausage egg and cheese on Brioche roll. I got one sausage egg and cheese and one bacon egg and cheese. This place is not cheap. I called the store and they were not able to do anything to fix the issue unless I drove back there and went in. If I had time to do that I would have not used the drive through and probably went somewhere else. read more

The Panera at this location has terrible service. We have gone to this Panera a few times now and the staff here is very unfriendly. They give attitude and does not do the job properly. Usually at Panera when you get a dozen bagels. They ask if you want to cut it and put it in different bags to separate out the flavors. Today, the staff did not even ask to cut the bagels and when we asked, he gave some attitude and just threw all the bagels into a giant bag after they were cut. All the halves of the bags are mixed and we can't even tell what flavor is what. Afterwards when we decided to give no tip, the cashier once again gave some attitude marking some type of grunt. THE drive thru attendant not that friendly while placing my order and I was asking questions..it seemed to me like she had an attitude.. But this salad took 15 mins..why??? The chicken was cold, meaning already cooked.. I'm on my lunch break, why does it take this long to put together a cold salad?! Anyway its romain lettuce that is rough chopped with dehydrated apple slices, walnuts, onions and cherry tomatoes. The lettuce was old, developing hard white spots on the stalk. It was definitely not cut properly into even pieces. The red onion slices were also not fresh and the chicken was sliced very thinly. The walnuts and tomatos seemed ok. This salad comes with this hard piece of baguette which you will need to put some heat on to soften it up.. This salad was over $11.00 why? It was terrible, old and definitely not tasty. I would definitely recommend not to go here, it's not worth it, unless they come better with fresher ingredients.. otherwise dont waste your time or money for sub par food. My family and I enjoy this place alot. The pricing is a bit high but you get what you pay for quality and clean eating wise. I have had almost all of their soups and salads and a few of their sandwiches. The bread and pastries are always super fresh, the salads and soups are always put together nicely and with amazing ingredients. The staff is usually super nice and if they mess up or forget something in your order the pop one of their huge cookies in the bag as an apology. The drive through is super convenient for me with my toddler and dog in the back seat. We order take out often from here. My toddler enjoys the smoothies too and I know that they are made with good ingredients and not pumped full of junk. read more

Zack at Panera is the BEST customer service I've ever received. My coffee was accidentally forgotten by my door dasher. I called and Zack was friendly to talk to on the phone and so helpful. He said he was about to clock out and that he would hand deliver my order to my school site (I'm a teacher and was DYING for some coffee ). This is a great Panera location! Everything is new, clean, and nice! I lovvveeee it here. The staff is so friendly! They greet me when I come in and get my order right every time. The food is always fresh and comes out fast. They have a cute patio outside that I can't wait to use in the summer. It gets kind of cold in there,which I hate, but I would say that is typical for any location. Free wifi, nice cushioned booths! If you are in the area you should definitely stop in. The person at the cashier register didn't even say hello to us and just starred at us after my mom just forced a hi how are you she said absolutely nothing after a 2nd my mom asked for the manager she stormed off and then hid on the side of the wall and starred at us. Then the manager came in and my mom explained what that happened about how she didn't greet us. Just give a rude smile to us. And then he gave us some lazy excuse and said is that really the problem here. and then she gave a rundown about how customer service should be and how we've been coming here for the past four years. The staff here used to be much better. I don't know what has changed. The manager apologized and acted as if he understood the problem even though I don't really think he did, and he really didn't care he was just trying to sugarcoat things. and then my mom said we're never coming back. I said have a good night just to try to be nice and then we left. We went to the one in Shelton afterwards a nice man named Charles and I forget the other ladies name much better service friendlier and the place is cleaner. Go there instead of this dump hole with a bunch of a holes. We usually never have a problem with panera.... but today was just horrible service. We went around 4pm and ordered a basic you pick 2 off the menu. I ordered one for both my wife and I, we ordered the same thing. Upon recieving our order, we realized there was a huge difference in our food. Her sandwich was made fine, but mine was basically missing everything. It looks like they had just thrown an old piece of chicken on a plain sandwich with nothing else, no sauce or vegetables. When we went to go let them know they had an attitude about it. Then they forgot to give us the second part of our order and were upset when we confronted them about that too. I would be more understanding if it was a busy day in the restaurant, but it was empty! I will definitely not be returning again after today. read more

I placed an order on line around 3:30p for the order to be ready for 5:15p pick up. I got there at 5:13p and nobody said, "hello", nobody said, "welcome", nobody asked, "Are you here for a pick up?", nobody said "I'll be right with you", nobody said anything. Since I didn't see my name on the board at 5:16p I finally said, "excuse me. I just want to make sure you have my order." and they asked the last name, they went over to a computer, and they said "I just sent it through right now" and I said, "is it going to take a while?" and they said "about 10 minutes" and the other person said, "no it shouldn't take that long" I said i'm to go wait in the car. I come back and I get the food and I check it and the Apple is bruised in 5 spots. so I go back to the counter and I say, "excuse me can I have an Apple that's not bruised?" so they go and they get me another Apple and they said "you can just throw that out" at no point ever was there an, "I'm sorry", no "sorry about the wait" no "sorry for mistake" "sorry for not having the order ready on time", no "I'll give you something on the house", no "I'll put a discount on your order". The second apple was also bruised, not as badly. But I'd given up. 2 stars as besides the apple, the food was typical Panera. read more

I am giving one star to Panera Derby because they did deliver in a timely manner. However, the sandwich I got deserve a zero! I ordered a tuna sandwich on whole wheat (no taste) that had almost no tuna and the little tuna that was there was mashed with mayo. It had a not fresh, fishy taste as well. I'm surprised to see so many so-so and bad reviews. I love this place. I get takeout a lot and have eaten inside quite a few times as well. The chicken noodle soup is to die for! It taste so different from every chicken noodle soup I've ever had in my life. And that difference is what makes it so delicious. A little pricey for what you get, not gonna lie, but that's all Panera locations. The place is comfy, clean, and the food is fresh and mouth watering! This is a fairly new restaurant - opened in Spring 2015 - and it is much better arranged than the nearby Shelton Panera bread. The various stations are clearly marked with good signage, the eating and serving areas are separate, and the waiting area for pickups is off by itself instead of in the middle of the eating area. Plus, they now take ApplePay which makes paying fun and easy. My mainstay is the "2 for 2" tomato soup and grilled cheese. Highly recommended! read more

I truly understand that we are all going through hard times and that places are busier than normal. With that being said, I am still so disappointed for the second time by this Panera. 2 times now I have waited for 20 minutes for a salad, that I have asked for no Tomatoes and for the chicken to be warm. Both times now it seems like I'm getting the coldest chicken they can find and extra tomatoes. Today they forgot the cookie, last time they forgot the side of bread. I realize that sounds petty, and I don't mind waiting for the food, but I'd really like it to be correct and complete. I spent 36$ for my salad to be disappointing AND for them to tell me after I've waited for so long, that they're out of the salad dressing. Come on guys, 36$ and 20 minutes for that is such a bummer.
