I was so shocked at how good the soup was! I'm always disappointed with soups that are supposed to be cheesy, but just never have that depth of flavor that I'm looking for, but the second I tasted this, I was in heaven. The amount of bacon in the soup was plentiful and definitely not unwelcome. The sandwich was a great as well. The flavor was great, the meat was juicy, and the bagel was shockingly thick. I will say, the steak and sauce soaked into the bun pretty immediately and made it decently soggy, so I would eat that as quickly as you can if you don't care for that. I went on a Monday afternoon and it was pretty busy, but it wasn't loud at all. The booth was comfortable and I was there with my husband for a few hours and it was a really nice time. When I first got there, I had put in my order and then realized I left something important at home, so I went up to the workers and asked if they could hold off my order until I got back. They immediately said yes, and even remembered my order before I could tell them what it was when I came back. 10/10 read more

It it is so frustrating to go in and place an order only to get home and find that our Chicken Fuji Apple salad doesn't have any chicken x2 -- both were wrong! Now, if this was an occasional situation, we could overlook having to cook chicken tonight to go on our $28 vegetarian salads! I just went to get bfast there and I ordered an iced coffee and a sausage egg cheese sandwich. I got a coffee with no ice. I got a bacon egg cheese sandwich, which I wouldn't mind but there's only ONE little piece of bacon. I forgot that the last time I ate here in a dead dining room that it took 15 minutes to ladle me a bowl of soup which was the full extent of my order. Now at 9 am today on a quiet Sunday, I'm told all but 1 coffee option not available yet. Should be 3 minutes for the hazelnut I wanted. Finished my food and 20 minutes later still no additional coffees brought out. Management has clearly declined in recent years. I tired for the last two Sundays to eat breakfast at St. Louis Bread. The first Sunday I waited at the counter for 5 minutes and saw no staff. so I left. This past Sunday I went in , no one was behind the counter but another lady used the kiosk on the counter so I did the same. No one was around to give me a coffee cup. Just left there ordered 53.00 worth of food which there isn't much. When I got home I was just appalled. Not only does the new menu suck but the sandwich was awful. Chicken avocado BLT. Ha not even close. They were out of sauce no avocado at all. I literally got 3 slivers of bacon the size of a finger nail. Just when I think this place cannot get worse it does. I ordered thru the app to pick up in the drive thru. I've learned to check my order before I pull away, but today it was packed for the lunch crowd so I quickly checked. It appeared to have a kids bow of broccoli cheddar soup with yogurt and a baja bowl with bread. What I had when I got home was a pasta bowl with cheese and broccoli and a baja bowl with avocados with all their skins still on and black and brown. My rice was not even cooked. Not sure what is going on here. I've not had an accurate order with pickup, ever. (Seriously) They aren't coming to you so if you want it made right, or your food, you gotta go back. Recently (and my last experience I'll have here) I ordered via the app, never received my food. Called the store and the reply, "oh, I guess the door dash driver didn't want to deliver it". Are you kidding me? That was August 2nd. I've since called customer service 3x to get the $30.01 charge refunded back. No refund. I went today the first time after many months and ordered an oatmeal and a large cup so I could get water. Because let's face it the drink selection sucks! Pepsi is terrible the tea is terrible it's all terrible. Now I gave them an opportunity today, and I was charged 2.79 for a large cup to get water! And when I asked about it they said oh she thought you wanted soda. Which she plainly asked me if I wanted a water cup. So no she was charging me for a water cup. I went to the restroom and it smells like urine in there. I won't be back. The trip prior to this was when they used to use the extra large slices of bread for the turkey and egg sandwich. Then they made regular size loaves of bread and used those slices. And then after that they used those regular slices and cut them in half and called that a breakfast sandwich and still charged the same price or more. This is what we call Panera Bread out east. A little more expensive than fast food that comes out super fast! You can do a pick 2 with half a sandwich and cup of soup. Lots of cakes and cookies, fresh coffee and refillable beverages. My turkey avodado blt without the b plus a bowl of summer menu corn chowder with a coffee ran almost $13! Get a rewards card and eat your way to a free item. Free wifi for half an hour. Bright but u have to pick up your own food and bus your own table. read more

This location is so comically bad every single time I have visited that it prompted me to leave a review which I rarely if ever do. They've never once been able to make our order correct, they don't have the bread, we're out of cheese, we don't have any avocado, etc. If you order online they'll just throw together whatever they want/have with no remorse. The meat was scarce, cold and rubbery. The bread was so hard it cut the top of my mouth and there was no cheese?!! Just this thin, cold slice of meat. And....I was given no receipt or even napkins. ‍. This lunch was paid through my business account, so I need a receipt. Once I realized I had no receipt I called and asked for it to be emailed to me. I was told no but that I could come back to get it. That wasn't an option! I was already past a turn around point and was heading south for a meeting. When I explained this to the lady who answered the phone, she asked another person what to do. The other person said for me to come back. Ugh! For some reason every time I come to St Louis BREAD Co they're out of BREAD. Literally the last 3 times I've gone here over the last few months they've been out of baguettes AND flatbread. Went through the drive through on Wednesday evening. It took quite awhile because this place is popular. As part of my order I wanted a 4 pack of cookies. When I got back to the hotel I was not happy to find there were no cookies in my order. I called the manager and she said I could come back and get them and I told her I would come tomorrow.
