No one offered refills, and we had to flag down the server twice just to get hot sauce. We ordered items like the Turkey Club, a Burger, a quesadilla, French dip and a pasta dish. We also splurged and ordered a few appetizers. Our only dislike was the quesadilla. It was hard, bland and no toppings offered for the price you pay. Everything else tasted great. And then there were the beers with spicy stuff and just weird ingredients that didn't hit for me. Granted, I can be a bit of a purist for Rhienheitsgebot brewing rules but I wasn't in love with the beers I tried. Almost every single menu item had an up charge. For example, if you wanted your $16 burger with cheese, it was an extra $1 up charge. Bacon? That's $3. Avacado? Also $3. Or if you wanted to upgrade to fries instead of potato chips as a side, that's a $2 up charge. If you want a protein option for almost any of the main entrees, that was an extra $5-$7 up charge. I had a the burger special of the week; the Patty Melt. The burgers were very dry and overcooked, the rye bread toast was dry, and there was hardly any thousand island dressing. One of the kids in our group got the kids mac and cheese and I swear someone whipped up a box of Kraft in the kitchen and served it with some potato chips. For a $9 kids meal I expect better. And to make matters worse, there was something going on with the sewage system there when we visited. Our table was near the restrooms and you could smell an overwhelming odor of feces coming from the bathroom every time someone opened the door. The rest of the place seemed clean so hopefully that's an outlier issue. The waitstaff was polite and professional however service was quite slow. Our experience left so much to be desired.
