Worst Panera i've ever eaten. Grilled cheese looks like it was made a day prior - it's hard as a rock and the paper is so stuck to the sandwich i couldn't eat it if i tried. The baguette is incredibly stale. The tomato soup tastes off, and even the dang COFFEE somehow tastes absolutely disgusting. The cold brew tastes like they ground up some coffee beans from two years ago, melted some plastic into it, and served me up a cup. how do you even mess up coffee this bad??? it makes mcdonald's coffee seem like a good choice. i'll never be coming back here. get it together. clearly the manager is smoking on that loud pack. read more

I come here pretty often because I live nearby and the workers are almost never friendly. My order is usually missing something. It's hard to find a clean table. They usually close earlier than they are supposed to, and even if you're inside, they'll do closing chores in front of you before closing time. And obviously, the prices are pretty crazy. read more

Panera is one of our favorite mid-day stops between errand running and we always seem to find the perfect nibble there. I appreciate the fact that Panera has made an effort to purchase and provide antibiotic free chicken, and that they make everything to order. I much prefer this to fast food with god knows what ingredients. The kids enjoy the enormous, fresh baked cookies and smoothies. I called in to place a special order for my vegan friend who has cancer. With him being on chemo & radiation, I wanted to make sure this food will be nourishing to him. I do not know anything about the vegan diet, and Elizabeth went over the top to suggest & research to make sure everything would be perfect for his diet. The mediterranean sandwich was made immediately, and it looked delicious. (My friend was delighted in the taste of the sandwich, and he made two meals out of it!) Their website and phone message say they are open until 9:00 pm. But, not really. When we arrived at 8:10 pm they were cleaning the kitchen and dining areas. Our order was packaged for take-out because "...it was easier for the dishwashers," but we would be allowed to eat in the dining area. We wanted little butter packets for our baguettes, but it had already been put way, so we had to wait until they got some out. When we got home, we found out we had the wrong salad. Apparently, we said "green" and the order-taker heard "greek". Too late to get it fixed. By about 2pm earlier today, I had determined that if I did not finally try a Fuji Apple Salad (as advertised by Panera Bread) I was going to go postal. Opting for the safest course of action for all involved, I decided to stop at this Panera Bread near University and Highlands Ranch Parkway to fulfill my need on the way to pick up my midgets. The restaurant itself is your typical Panera venue... cozy, warm colors, a good mix of cafe and eatery. I was very thankful for the comfy leather chair I was able to sink into as I was post-workout and near exhausted from a full day of being on my feet. I ordered the following: an iced mocha latte, the fuji apple salad, and a slice of very chocolate brownie (I figured I could use the sugar and the treat since I was bound to take care of the kids myself tonight). I received the brownie right away, and the coffee soon after. The teens behind the counter didn't seem overly concerned with getting my salad prepped very quickly, and perhaps I didn't hear them call my name when it was finally done - regardless, I had to come back to the counter to check on my salad's status and pick it up for consumption. The salad - AWESOME. I think raisins would have been the only addition to really send it over the top, but it didn't disappoint. The coffee - meh. The "barista" didn't even stir in the chocolate syrup but let it all sink to the bottom of the cup, so I had to mix it up to avoid 2 gulps of pure fructose at the start. Maybe a better prep would've gone over well with me. The brownie - also meh. Don't get me wrong; I adore chocolate. But this just didn't send me over the moon like other decadent chocolate delights have. I wouldn't even call it "Very Chocolate Brownie," so instead I'll redub it "Very Dark Brownie." For the price of all of these items (just over $13) I think they could've impressed me more. Panera has never been a frequent haunt of mine, and today decided me that it never will be. Rather, it'll be more like a ship I occasionally pass in the night ... or when I really need some fuji apple salad. read more

This Panera is okay at best. I was unaware Panera had franchisee's until I contacted corporate about my experience. I went in on a Saturday for breakfast. I gave them our Panera number which is tied to my wife's name. After waiting 10-minutes, I asked if my order would be ready soon. They said they gave it to a lady that said she was Barbara. Without apology, they said they would remake my order. After another 8-minute wait, I checked in to see the status of my 'remade' order. They totally forgot to remake it!?! FAIL Even a fellow customer waiting felt sorry for me and my son, making a comment about what he saw go down. Corporate offered nothing but saying they would notify the location. Simple, unassuming foods. Panera recently announced its new food policy to remove artificial additives from its menu by the end of 2016 (come on kids, let's do it by the end of this year - or 2015 at the latest). Anyways, I've always been happy with the food quality, price point, cleanliness, and efficiency of this Panera. I think this is a great place to take friends and family alike, and there are some tables outside to enjoy your food while the weather is so nice. Very nice staff too. Oh, and sign up for the rewards card (it's free), but I usually don't get rewards that often...only when I had just signed up and randomly throughout the year (maybe 1-2 times a year, excluding a free birthday pastry). If you haven't tried Panera, they have a wonderful selection of sandwiches, soups, and salads. It's hard for me each time choose what I want because...there are so many great options! Oh, and the bagels - yum. Chocolate chip...everything...sesame...my favorites. Oh, don't forget to add a cookie. OK clearly I'm hungry while I'm typing this out. read more

"Rapid pick-up" - not so much. Arrived 10 mins after my food was supposed to be ready & it wasn't out at the rapid pick-up shelf. Turns out they lost my ticket and just had it sitting on the main counter but said the order was for a different name. Not a very efficient system here today. Free wifi, good coffee, fire place When a need a place to go do work in the burbs, this place works great. I love that the noise level never gets near what the starbucks across way can get to. I do always like a Panera lunch; this location in Highlands Ranch is always packed full of moms and their kids, professionals on their lunch hour and retirees, so tables are usually few and far between. Not everyone cleans up after themselves either. But, nevertheless, I do enjoy soup in a bread bowl and their "you pick two" and typically get a salad to go with that yummy soup. It's a nice place to chill if you can time your arrival right but this is one of the busier locations. read more

So I'm a complete idiot and thought I placed an order for Rapid Pickup through this location, but upon arrival I noticed it wasn't on the shelf even though I got there just a few minutes after it was supposed to be ready. I waited a few minutes to see if they were bringing it out and after nothing happened I asked the very friendly staff about my order. They told me they couldn't find it so I pulled up the confirmation email. Of course my dumbass placed the order through Lone Tree. They were so nice and made my order right in front of me and didn't charge me for it. They made sure I had everything in my bag and sent me on my way. I love Panera. Really, I do. I grew up on Panera. But I have to say this specific location is one of the worst I've been to. The restaurant is not as clean as it should be (don't even think about using the bathrooms). I would say one out of every four to-go orders I make there are put in the bag wrong. I've arrived home with my meal several times only to find they forgot an entire part of my meal. A Fuji Apple CHICKEN salad with NO CHICKEN? Really?! This has happened twice! They also get the dressings for salads mixed up quite a bit and include the wrong sides. I've learned to check my order before leaving the restaurant. While I've had a lot of problems with to-go orders, I've only had one or two issues with orders for eating in the restaurant. read more

I love this place! It's always clean and (relatively) quiet for studying or reading. As the previous reviewer mentioned the teenagers who work there are often slow and nonchalant I have never had any problems with my order. They have great sized booths for the ankle-biters so they can see over the table without sitting in a booster. I'm not generally a coffee drinker after 10am, so I can't attest to that, but their teas are always good. My one major complaint is that their water glasses are teeny-tiny! Just because I want water doesn't mean I'm not thirsty! All things considered, I'm a fan! read more

Absolutely disgusted. The man who took our order was sick with a cold by the time we walked in and got to the register he has wiped his nose on his arm 3 times. I was so grossed out all I could do was order a coffee. While we were paying he was sneezing and using a overused tissue. This is a food establishment send your employees home if they are sick.
