If you have read many of my recent reviews. I am I my Panera era. Never been to this one, so decided to try another new location. I ordered my food as I normally do on the app, went to pick it up and realized I ordered to the Anaheim location I was at the day before. My mistake 100%, but they were so nice. Told me to call the other location to cancel it and replace the order for their location. Did just that and the cancelled it without issue, refunded me and I replaced the order and I was good to go. Thank you very much for taking care of it, even though it was totally my fault, great service. Got my normal order, Ranch Cobb with chicken, sub green goddess dressing, apple, drink and some Asiago bagels for later. Yum! I really like the La Cañada Flintridge area and this location seems newer and is nice inside, clean, lots of seating inside and out, great spot for working lunch or whenever. I highly recommend joining the sip club, well worth it and always look for coupons to save on your purchase. Enjoy!

Panera is Panera food and drinks are ok but it's convenient. The place is clean and comfortable. But I have to say I received excellent service today so thumbs up for that!!

Long hair inside Smokehouse BBQ Chicken

This place gets worse and worse with every time I order. Last time I ordered a smokehouse BBQ chicken there was a long hair inside, see the picture attached. I am done, never going to order anything from here anymore.

We've been to this location of Panera Bread a number of times. The last visit wasn't the best we've experienced there. Felt like they were tired of trying to keep a consistently positive offering, and were giving up. The cashier was very friendly, and tried to be helpful. They usually do have good customer service at the ordering station. Where the let downs came were that many of the food items were already sold out. I'd been snacking at an event at Descanso Gardens, so didn't want anything heavy. Would have been happy with a bowl of soup. Sadly, everything non-dairy was long gone. I ended up ordering a non-dairy smoothie. Not the same thing. We had Sweet Granddaughter with us, who was craving mac & cheese. That was accomplished, but what a shocking small portion for $7.29! It did come with a small sleeve of yogurt, but no beverage. I was shaking my head when I realized what we'd paid and what we got for it. Dear Hubby was hungry, so he ordered Chicken & Pepperoni Mozzarella Melt - Stacked Toasted Baguette on the Pick 2 menu, not realizing that the Melt alone was over $13. Then his second choice soup (they were out of chili) was almost $7 for a cup. He got a "deal" on a bear claw. Still, I didn't have anything other than the smoothie, and an adult meal and a kids meal, plus one pastry ended up being almost $50. Makes one want to only cook at home any more. I realize food prices are up / labor is up. But dang, for $50 it would be nice to feel like the restaurant cared about what they were providing. The carpeted floors needed to be cleaned throughout the place. Some of the tabletops needed attention, as well. The location just felt careworn; in need of a refresh. If we go again, we would be sure we have a coupon or other deal first, because the cost isn't in alignment with the value.

    He loved it lol

GREAT FOOD, AMAZING SERVICE, AND SUPER CLEAN! We drove from Burbank, to Glendale Panera (300 brand ave) and they were sold out of...bread? Panera bread was sold out of bread! So the next step was Panera in La Canada. Ahhh, best decision ever! Food: 5/5 The food was amazing, in all honesty. I've had the worst luck at multiple Panera's, which really sucks because when it's cold there's nothing like a good soup, and when it's hot there's nothing like a fresh salad. My niece and nephew are very picky, and even they liked the food! The bread bowls were delicious, fresh, soft, with crispy edges. Yum. The Mac and everything was just delicious, honestly. Price: 4.5/5 I felt $52.00 for 3 is a bit pricy, but in all honesty that's just what it cost to go out to eat now. The bowls were about 12.00 Ea, drinks, and salad it somehow all was 50+. In my opinion, most if it was worth the price! I wish they had a reward system with the amount you spend/ points lol Service: 5/5 They're so incredibly nice here! Just about every Panera I've been to, has the rudest workers possible. However, this one had such a great team!!! The cooks were so damn nice!!!they asked us several times if we needed anything, I constantly saw one guy cleaning the lemonade station over and over. There's nothing like a clean and happy restaurant! All around: 6/5 I will be back to this location again!

French onion soup in bread bowl delicious

Where else can you get soup in a bread bowl!? Panera does a great job with their French onion soup. I loved it in the bread bowl! I actually had no idea bread bowls were on their menu until now and am pleasantly surprised. Their passion papaya green tea is really good too. I liked mixing it with some of their agave lemonade and you can add water if it's too sweet for you. The only thing I would ask them to improve on is there home style chicken soup. It literally looks like they opened a can of Progresso and dumped it into a bowl! Please use fresh chicken...when I make chicken soup it does not look like that weird pinkish tinge canned soup stuff and yet theirs has that same weird look.

Toasted Italiano with Broccoli Cheddar Soup

you know, the thing about Panera bread is that their food is actually really good and their soups are very underrated, this is especially true If you live in an area that does not have a lot of places that offer a variety of decent soups. the issue with the Panera bread chain is that they are very badly managed and very horrible at executing their customer service and their employees throughout almost all of their locations anyways, at this location specifically I ended up getting the hot Italiano sandwich with a broccoli and cheddar soup and it was pretty good. the issue was that I waited roughly 15 minutes to order my food, even though I was the next person in line. It seemed like there was an abundance of employees, just walking around some of which did not seem to be doing anything, but there was only one person taking orders upfront. that would've been fine too, except he was also multitasking and doing other things mid order (not just cutting the bread). they do offer a self checkout monitor at the front as well, but there was a huge line behind me and the monitor seemed occupied by another guest for just as long. oh, and it's also worthy to mention that if you need somewhere to sit down and study, then this might be a good place (if you don't mind people and some background noise).

What the heck Panera bread I ordered two dozen bagels and this is how you give it to me just loose in a shopping bag what is going on? I ordered this for work. I can't take this to work like this... APPARENTLY you discontinued boxes?? Why on earth would you do that?? Who wants 2 dozen bagels tossed in a shopping bag??

This place is basic, nothing fancy and there's really no ambiance or special feelings associated with it - it's just an old-looking sit-down and serve establishment. The few people sitting to eat were random; I was there to order to-go. After asking what was the patrons favorite dish(es) the lady quickly pointed out the most expensive items on the menu. Of course she did. My eyes rolled but I was polite and decided to order something I recognized and wouldn't hate myself for in the morning. Chicken Teriyaki Can of coke My bill came to $34.23 Ahem! What? Why does a plate of Chicken Teriyaki cost so much? And why $3 for a can of coke? I just cannot wrap my head around it. This isn't a fancy restaurant at all! In fact, it's as basic as it gets with no ambiance or warmth. I cannot recommend this place at all. The food was pretty poor and nowhere near on par with classy eats that try to reach that $$ figure. Montrose is certainly a place where there are people with money and no taste...looking for reasons to spend it willy-nilly. I thought I took a photo of the plate when I got home. Guess not. Avoid if you aren't made of money and prefer well-prepared meals, not quick, mushy fast-foodish stuff.

It's a comfortable spot with padded banquettes or chairs at the tables, which feature chrome frames and (very good-looking) faux marble tops; along with white walls and light-colored wood accents, the owners have created a clean, simple, welcoming environment. The mood is jostled even further into a specific vibe of calmness with the carefully curated music being played: bossa nova covers of pop hits from bygone days (The Bee Gees' "More Than A Woman" and the Bee Gees'-written Streisand hit, "A Woman In Love" being examples), but it all works. The menu offers a varied selection of dishes from several Asian cultures, from Chinese Beef Rolls to Japanese noodles and soups to Korean Beef over rice. It's not a huge menu, but there's definitely enough there for everyone to find something interesting to eat. The food is all cooked in view of the customers by a staff of chefs working in a sparkling clean kitchen enclosed by windows, and the staff is uniformly friendly despite juggling a lunchtime crowd at the tables plus quite a lot of to-go orders. I tried 2 really enjoyable and satisfying dishes. Beef Rolls featured thinly sliced brisket rolled inside crispy fried crepes with scallion, cilantro and a touch of Hoisin sauce. The brisket had a mild but distinctive flavor that spoke of careful preparation, while the slightly astringent pop from the onions and herbs was a nice foil for the inherent fattiness of the fried crepes. The Hoisin sauce was very subtly deployed, lending tasty support without overwhelming everything else. I added some of the house chili oil for a little extra spice and peppery depth, but these well-made rolls were terrific all by themselves. It should also be noted that the portion is very generous, especially for the price ($12.80), and more than enough for 2 people (perhaps 4 people, if each has 1/2). My other dish was the Qinghai Clear Cold Noodle, a terrific-looking, and even better-tasting blend of thick, chewy noodles, fresh chopped garlic, veggies, tofu and chili sauce that's got a bit of heat but more so a pleasing depth of Chinese spices. This appetizer is packed with flavor and just happens to be Vegan (as are a number of menu items), so it can be enjoyed by anyone. All in all, this was a fantastic mid-week lunch that pleased the senses without breaking the bank, and I even brought some home for later. Do give this Noodle St. a try -- and if you're not in Pasadena, check their website, because they have 8 locations, with a 9th opening soon in Sherman Oaks.

The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the Korean beef. It was way too sweet and didn't really give Korean BBQ flavor. The meat seemed more steamed than grilled, and not even vinegar or chili oil could save it for me. Other than that, everything else was fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for.
