Before I rate places I want to try it more than once. I've eaten at this Panera at least a dozen times since it opened and the food and service has always been consistently good. If you go inside the person taking your order has always been a hit or miss, however I've learned over my 29 years in LJ not to expect the best service from high schoolers or those straight out of high school. The salads, soups and bagels are always delish, we've recently discovered the hidden treasure that is the iced caramel latte and it's amazing, and cheaper than Starbucks. read more

I usually have excellent service here. Today? Two! Bad cashiers. First said I'll be right back and never came back. Second i've always been Asked! if I want cream cheese but NEVER told it was a billable item, which I don't have issues paying for, but when I ask for it and the cashier didn't ask if I wanted it and I've already paid meaning I've now got to do yet another transaction? She also didn't bother to provide silverware and when I went back to ask for it I was ignored. CRAPPY service today. INot cool! No receipt either. read more

Whether I'm picking up an order or going through the drive thru my order is ALWAYS wrong. It is beyond frustrating when employees "check" the order just sign off on it instead of actually looking inside the bag. The managers should teach the employees to do a thorough check before signing off on all the orders. It is such an inconvenience to drive back and get my missing items. I hope they can resolve this ongoing problem soon. read more

New location I hear. My avacado egg sandwich came with the avacado so I had to request it. The cinnamon roll looks good but came cold so had to microwave it myself. The Mediterranean egg white sandwich came out alright. read more

The worst Panera Bread we have ever been too. First time at this location and we get home to our order being completely wrong. The second time we got there at 8:50 not knowing they close at 9 and the girl yelled at us telling us they were closed. I get you don't want to serve 10min to close but be nice about it. I never write reviews but felt compelled since I've had a couple of bad experiences with this Panera Bread. Fist time there was about a week after it opened they wouldn't serve me breakfast 6 minutes before it ended. I thought maybe they were just out of breakfast food so when I ask her why she just said rudely, the cook doesn't want to make anymore breakfast items. It was for my 8 month pregnant wife mind you. We ordered again tonight and the steak panini was not good at all. 3 very small slices of meat and the bread was old. The service and food there is pretty ridiculous considering the outrageous prices. Subway has them beat hands down..!! read more

First of all I ordered a bagel and a sweet tea and it took them 15 minutes... She asks me my order twice and then repeats it back wrong and leaves out the sweet tea. She hands me the tea and it's not sweet. Then she randomly hands me the cream cheese separately and says they are waiting on my bagel which I asked be lightly toasted. It's pretty burnt and when I pull the napkins out they gave me DIRTY napkins like looked like they spilled coffee all over them and put them in there with my bagel..... Like are you kidding? I was on my way to work so didn't have time to wait another FIFTEEN minutes for them to correct it but the worst customer service I've ever seen. read more

I finally tried Panera for lunch. I ordered the half of a salad and flatbread. I ordered thru the drive thru. Arrived home and my order was totally wrong. In addition it was a horrible salad. All greens and a tablespoon of watermelon and even less feta cheese. The flatbread sandwich did not get past my nose. I called to talk to manager and was put on hold. After 25 minutes I hung up. Panera at Lake Jackson is extremely slow with their operation. Management needs to look at their operational efficiency. Standing at the counter for 15 to 20 minutes with one cashier is not an efficient operation. read more

The customer service here is great considering it's difficult to find good customer service at the local chain restaurants. The food at Panera Bread is always fabulous. I just hope that this place doesn't fall by the wayside like most of the other excellent chain establishments in Lake Jackson. read more

During my first visit at Panera I wasn't sure what to get considering I prefer hot entrees and sides and shy away from a simple sandwich I could have prepared at home. This was different after speaking my preferences to the kind cashier she suggested the hot steak with onions sandwich on toast. I order this with chips a new Strawberry Watermelon Lemonade. This sandwich was delicious and catered to all my likes in food . The service was great and my lemonade was delicious. read more

What an awesome dining experience. I took my grandparents there for their first time and Brittany S. helped us out; AMAZING customer service. My Pop couldn't eat his tough ciabatta bread sandwich he ordered, due to dentures, and Brittany S. replaced it with another sandwich on soft bread. Very very good dining experience. Food is good as always. My grandma who lives in this area told my grandpa "this our new place"! "Best food I've had in years!!" she said. Lake Jackson got really lucky that Panera came to town! I love Panera bread in general but this one is ridiculous. They can't make a chai tea latte to save their lives, when every other PB makes them consistently flawlessly. This past time that we went my husband's panini wasn't warmed up at all, they were out of the bread my sandwich usually comes on (which is odd since you bake your own freaking bread...), the aforementioned sandwich then came out soggy, and to top it off the girl taking our order was ridiculously unprofessional. If she had said "for sure" one more time I might have screamed at her. Someone from corporate needs to get this place into shape or close it down. read more

I normally don't eat at chain restaurants. I am trying to immerse myself in local foods, might go to a local chain like Freebirds or something but that is about it. But there are a few exceptions to this rule and Panera Bread is one of them. I find the company overall good and fresh. The lake Jackson store is new and is a healthy option to the normal fried goodness of the area. You want a good soup and sandwich this is a good bet. read more

I decided to go through the drive-thru this morning and order a blueberry bagel. There was only one other car in ahead of me and maybe 2-3 cars in parking lot. After ordering, I waited in line for about 15 minutes because the person in front of me had a rather larger order, I pulled up to the window only to be told they just ran out of blueberry bagels. So I just asked for a plain bagel. Got to work (which only took me 5 minutes) and the bagel is completely burnt and hard as a rock; not edible! Why would you give a customer a burnt bagel? And the napkins were just shoved in the bag next to the bagel and had grease all over them. Maybe you should turn the toaster down, pay more attention to what you're doing and make more blueberry bagels!! read more

After two opportunities I have given this location a low score. First visit they left the paper wrap on the cheese in my sandwich. The bread was sliced so thin that it fell apart when I picked it up. Most recently I had the Southwest flat bread sandwich. It had almost no meat. It is anew location so I may try it again some day. read more

Very unfriendly staff and food was very wrong. I got my food to go and after going back in twice to get things I ordered that weren't in the bag, I finally gave up when my sandwich was still wrong. I used to eat here every day for lunch and it was great, but the last few times were terrible experiences. I won't be back. read more
