After having to reorder because Grubhub canceled my order, they messed it up. I called them and told them what happened and all they wanted to do was give me a voucher. Eventually after convincing them they gave me my money back. They were short with their responses and seemed annoyed that I was calling again. I've been to Panera loads of times, but not this one. After reading many terrible reviews here on Yelp, my expectations were not high going into this but at the time I was on a detox where I could only eat fruits and vegetables and Panera is one of the few quick places that goes out of its way to serve healthy food. Since I usually order sandwiches at Panera, I didn't really know what I wanted when I stepped in line. I ended up moving to the side and pulled my phone out to look at Panera's website for better menu descriptions. Upon doing this, the manager quickly came over to me and gave me a menu I could look at instead of waiting for my phone to load. When I ordered, the cashier made sure to ask if I wanted chips, an apple, or bread as my side. It is rare Panera asks me this question and it was very welcomed as I don't like the chips and often forget to ask for an apple or bread instead. When I was finished eating, a woman came to my table and asked if I was finished and then proceeded to remove my plate from the table. Overall, I'd say I had an extremely positive experience. In fact, this Panera went above and beyond to make sure I had a pleasant experience. So this is my advice to those who came to Yelp and see a lot of negative reviews. DON'T BELIEVE THEM. Most of the reviews are people venting about their own bad days that have nothing to do with this Panera restaurant. One review actually complains about screaming children. Dude, that's not Panera's fault and doesn't belong in a review. Another complains about her tuna sandwich having barely any tuna. Go back inside and complain. They would have remade the sandwich and probably thrown in something extra. Another complains that this felt like a fast food experience. Hey man, news flash, it is fast food. Costs more? Yeah, probably because the food is higher quality. Go to a grocery store and you will notice the healthier food is more expensive than the junk. This isn't rocket science. If this location is busy turn around and walk out! I recently tried to brave a 'busy' lunch time and 25 minutes later my food was ready! THEN I had to have it packed to go and eat in my car because the limited seating was being used by people sitting there on their laptops using the free WiFi. The idea that they do not attempt to move people who are not eating or drinking during peak meal service to free up space for paying customers makes no sense! read more

Finally! We found a Panera location in PA that serves sweet tea! We stopped here for lunch after a visit to the Strasburg Railroad. The food was delicious as is the norm for Panera. The service was exceptionally good here- staff came around to clear empty plates. Although it was busy, the line moved quickly and food was ready quickly as well. read more

Delivery Review- I work close by and have had food delivered 4 or 5 times. Every time, something is wrong. This past time, my sandwich had completely fallen apart, my fruit cup (that I paid extra for!) was not in my bag, and my garden salad was filled with wilted romaine because they packed it under my mac and cheese. To top it all off, I clicked the link I got in my email to review the service, and obviously it didn't work. Also, the section on the order slip that says "Order checked by ____________" was not signed. No surprise. The food did taste good, though, hence my 3 star rating as apposed to a 1 star rating. Nice restaurant, friendly staff, really clean. Only problem is that there is not really an easy way for elderly to get in to the restaurant. The only ramp entrance is pretty far down the walkway and it's a long walk. My mom loves the scones and coffee and we would visit more often but it's so hard to get up onto the curb! Rather bland fare, good as a compromise but not something I routinely seek out. Panerai does some things well; they usually make a good but expensive salad, a good soup usually, but not in this case. They know their audience -- free wifi, lots of power outlets. The food is pretty secondary. I can't stand Panerai coffee, whish leaves watery diesel flavored highlights on the palate. Tonight's soup was a corn chowder, which shouldn't be watery, but was. The salad, that was excellent. I passed on a pastry.. they are almost always dry and crumby. Panerai is another chain that is so bland and middle of the road-- I don't hate it, but there's nothing that excites me either. read more

I came to visit here 11/21 around 7:00pm. At every other panera i have been to they are very accommodating and always seem to please their guest/customers. Not to forget to mention that they always have warm cookies and if they didn't have any out they would make some warm cookies. Unfortunately, i didn't have the greatest experience when i came today. When i asked for a ¢.99 pastry i asked if they had warm cookies and they girl said in exact words "we don't have warm cookies here." Then next in line my friend ordered a coffee cake slice and asked if it could be heated up in the oven since they have many right behind the register. The girl told her to use the microwave behind her that was a pos. The employee was clearly in a rush because her shift ended and finished ringing us up and ran out. Let me start off saying this isn't about this store as much as Panera in general. I now remember why I never get bagels at Panera. The bagels are always under toasted and then they always give you frozen butter for them. So you want me to take a basically lightly warmed and softened bagel and spread a frozen chunk of butter on it. Try it once and tell me how it works. Now for the up side of this review. The employees here at this store are top notch. After sitting down and opening my bagel I saw it didn't even have golden edges on it and it was barely warm so I took it up to the counter to ask them to run it though the toaster for me again and I was told that they couldn't toast that one again because of policy and the fact the bagel had left the counter but they were more than happy to toast another. Awesome thank you. And this time the clerk turned the toaster down and got a perfect light brown toast to it awesome thank you again. Then I sit down and go to spread the butter which at this point had been sitting out at the table for 5 min or so and it is a rock.... I spread it out as best I could and destroyed the bagel in the process. Now Panera you employee some great people but do business in a way that makes it hard for them to execute as good as they are and you products really are. I will never order another bagel from you unless I bring my own butter into the store which is a sad statement I know but I travel all up and down the East Coast and this has been a issue at every store Ive ever got a bagel and butter at and its too bad because they are good. Maybe you should have some butter pulled out of the freezer or seriously cold refrigerator which ever the case may be and have it ready for people. My boyfriend and I went yesterday, Veteran's Day. We're both veterans and were taking advantage of the free meal offered to us. The young lady at the register didn't know how to remove the charges from the order, so the manager, Luke, stepped in. There was some confusion, since he didn't know that we are both veterans, and the bill came out incorrectly. Not wanting us to wait to fix it any longer, he just comp-ed the whole bill, including the extra pastries and drinks we ordered. He didn't need to do this, but he did, and we were really grateful. My dining experience at this place was nothing to write home about. I had a Deli turkey sandwich that didn't taste any better than I would have if I were home and made it myself. The home made potato chips were hard and the selections of soups were limited. This place was busy and the staff came around and cleaned up the place in a quick manner. The best thing here was the Mt. Dew I drank. Not much else. read more
