While I've used the Leesburg Panera for several deliveries, I have to admit that the final delivery was a nail in the coffin for me. The sandwich was delivered with surprise peppers (an allergen for me, which definitely wasn't a chosen option), no drink, unexpected substitutions, and delivered by a rather rude individual who failed to read the delivery instructions. This young man then further failed to follow directions to enter the medical facility, and was quite rude when in the building. I called to speak with the manager, and got a call back from a terse, rude, unapologetic man who seemed to have nothing but excuses to offer; no ways to fix the order, no discussion of rectifying the situation, nothing but resentment and attitude. This place seems to have a fly problem. On a couple of occasions we have visited and seen flies crawling all over the pastries. The last time was right in front of the manager. We just walked right out. On other occasions they have botched orders which is very common for Panera. The only good thing I can say is it's not busy. The food here is good, just like any other Panera I've been to, but the customer service is horrible. The multiple times I've been there, the staff seems to be more interested in themselves then the customers. I've become used to short conversations and replies from the cashiers and sandwich makers. My worst experience was this afternoon, when I went to get my to-go order from the pickup counter. My buzzer went off, and when I went to the counter, the guy dropped multiple bags onto the counter, and turned back to talking to his friend. Another customer and I then had to run through the bags to find which orders where ours.... LOUDLY asking what order was what. Of coarse we didn't get any replays from the 4 people behind the counter, so we had to sort it out ourselves. In general, the sandwiches look like they were rushed to be made, not cut all the way through, and the staff is just there for a paycheck. read more

I have tried this particular Panera several times. While they have been open for some time now, there seems to be a complete lack of progress on behalf of the staff and management. Over the past three visits 1) My wife's order of a frontega chicken was burned on the outside while cold in the center, 2) My child's Mac n cheese was cold in the center and lukewarm elsewhere 3) They were out of regular milk for the kids meals 4) They were out of yogurt for the kids meals x2 The managers have been apologetic and offered to substitute and even comp desserts, which I do appreciate. Unfortunately, I don't want dessert, nor anything for free, I just want what I ordered. I understand issues arise and it can be difficult manage them, however most of the issues I have experienced are easily resolved by proper cooking/heating and inventory management. Lastly, the wall in our booth looked as if someone opened a shaken can of coke in the booth and no one took the time to clean it off. Also, I agree with the other review that cites a fly issue; I had to swat away flies from my family's meal. I am not a Panera hater, in fact I eat at Panera quite often, tonight may well be the last time I eat at that particular Panera. With so many other great options in the town center, my family will choose to eat dinner elsewhere. read more

Bagels are great, you-pick-two's are handy and good, bread (of course) is the best. *make sue you sign up for their free rewards card - free food! Nothing's better than a proverbial "free lunch"* What I really love about this particular Panera is the exceptional customer service! The managers are really top-notch and attentive to all customers. This is the worst restaurant chain ever! I ordered a sandwich online for pickup today. Steak panini only steak, bacon, and 2 kinds of cheddar. That's all, only meat, bread and cheese. When I arrived for at the designated pickup time my order was not ready and completely wrong. No bacon, one type of cheddar, red onions and nasty ass mayo. These assholes make your food however they want not what you order. Sadly I had the same problem with this chain in another state as well. Welcome to Panera where we say FUCK the customer. The Panera in Leesburg is pretty good, so I'm not sure why this restaurant is so bad. The food seems worse somehow, and the service is awful. The first time I went to this Panera, I went in to order carry out and waited and waited while the staff seemed to fill orders based on ease of preparation. When they finally got to my order (after about 35 minutes!) they told me they had just run out of the soup I had ordered and the next batch wasn't thawed out yet. I would have to wait longer if I wanted what I had ordered. Instead of being apologetic they acted like they were annoyed with me and my order. Let me just add that I was very polite about having to wait an excessive amount of time and even about the change in my order. They had no reason to make me wait, mess up my order, and then be rude about it! I have a two strikes rule for restaurants, because anyone can have a bad day, so a few weeks later I went back. This time I ordered online to avoid the 35 minute wait time, but still had to wait for the order, and then they told me they were out of bread for the bread bowls! They also put my daughters yogurt in the same bag with hot soup, so that when I got home the yogurt was as hot as the soup. No bread bowls and no yogurt - not without my 5 year old getting food poisoning anyway. What terrible service. And the food tasted bad - I guess they're not good at thawing out their food either. She facilitated a very last-minute lunch delivery order for 7 people, and was completely patient and sweet throughout the whole order experience from the initial panic phone call to the delivery. She even suggested a great alternative to something we ordered. (I didn't know we were looking at an old menu!) Everything was fresh and delicious! Worst Panera I have visited. They will not take phone calls, manager will not respond to phone requests. They will not take phone in orders nor orders for delivery most times. Seem to have no interest at all in customer service. Ordering on the mobile app does not work. Ordering online somehow never makes it to this store. When you order in the store, orders typically incomplete or inaccurate. Lot of options nearby, recommend trying them instead of fighting to purchase from this dis-interested Panera. read more

I love coming here for a cup of coffee and breakfast. The line typically goes quick, and there is ample seating available. My only complaint is that it can be nearly impossible to exit left out of the parking lot! Gotta love the outlet mall...... read more

Ordered a grilled cheese with "regular" amount of white cheddar cheese for a .99 cent up-charge and the amount seemed like if I had selected the "light" amount, there was barely any cheese on the grilled CHEESE sandwich and I paid a dollar more for it ! Crazy! Also gave us whatever side/ bread items they wanted- ordered three baguettes and a whole grain roll and got chips country roll wheat roll and a baguette. read more

I really like the Panera bacon cheese souffle - they are delicious - but consistently they don't HAVE THEM. Sold out, waiting for more, will be another 10 minutes... excuse after excuse. Out the chipotle chicken out of the men which was amazing so this time I got the smokey chicken..oh my god it was disgusting!!! The chicken was UNDERcooked!!!!! Got me sick for the entire night!!!! I like panera's food, but the service at this Panera is HORRIBLE. We live right by here so it is convenient but they are always understaffed, unhelpful, and get the order wrong every-time. I went yesterday and they wrong up the order wrong and then forgot half of the food. When I went to nicely check the cashier had no idea what she was doing and would not give me what I had ordered. The was no one waiting for food or inline so not sure what the issue was. The last few times I have gone it has been the same story. One time I went in the manager was berating one of the poor highschool students who worked there for no reason. It was horrible. All around that Panera needs new management and staff. read more

I go to rvhs and like to go to the lansdowne town center after school on Friday's. Usually it is crowded on Friday's and the workers don't like that because not everyone buys things, which I can understand. Me and 1 other friend walked in and sat down together while he ordered his food through the app (he had no cash on him) on a Friday. We were isolated from most others that were there, but within 2 minutes, Trevor, one of the managers kicked us out for what reason? I'm not sure. But I don't like going to that Panera anymore because of the major lack of respect for younger customers. Now, if I were 18 plus years of age, I would probably write this Panera four stars because they serve good food, slightly over priced in my opinion, but that's just me, and it is overall a good place... unless you're anywhere near my age. read more

my mother and I popped in here for a quick sandwich and soup with coffee for a late lunch at 2pm one Wednesday afternoon and found the staff very helpful and friendly. they got our order right and explained how it worked (you sit down with buzzer device and they buzz you when the sandwich etc is ready). A few minutes later the device buzzed and they kindly walked the tray over to us as my mum is elderly and frail and I was off getting my coffee creamed and sugared at the separate counter for this. Mum liked her soup and we both found the sandwiches to be tasty. I had the vegetable wheat (lots of avocado and tomato) and mum had smoked turkey. We think the sandwich fillings are on the small side, as well as the "free" bag of (real potato) chips that comes with it, but really, we are not trying to eat huge quantities and appreciated not leaving left-overs. The only negative is that it was crowded and I got the feeling the tables needed wiping and the floor sweeping, but it was the end of the lunch hour, I suppose. read more

The cashier had a negative demeanor and seemed like she did not want to be here, my hot chocolate wasn't even hot, and the store was needed some cleaning up. I love Panera and their food, however, it is very disappointing to order food to go, get home, and find that it was made incorrectly with little attention paid by the person who made it. I ordered a Fuji Apple CHICKEN Salad that had no chicken in it when I opened it at home. Since it is one of the main ingredients and in the name of the salad, I was surprised and very disappointed to see that the chicken was omitted. Also, the salad was so "wet" that it leaked out the bottom of the bag -- very frustrated by not getting what I ordered and paid for. :( read more

A recent trip here has really changed my outlook for this restaurant. Most locations we have been to had shady service. This one is no exception. We went during an early lunch period which you would expect busy service. We were shocked to learn of the automated screens, just like walking into Sheetz! Management was even encouraging folks to use them!! What happened to good old fashioned 'face-to-face' service? I know this is a trend now among many places, but I would expect service behind the counter to be BETTER with these. We still had missing items and inconsistent portions. There was no sense of 'who does what'. The food has always been the same as one would expect here. Nothing fancy, yet I'm surprised with prices as high as they are for what you get.
