Very reasonable prices, lots of menu choices, wonderful staff, oh, did I mention the coffee? I love dark roast coffee, "Just black, please". This Columbian coffee is dark, rich, smooth and flavorful with an aroma that hits the senses with every taste. If you're a dark roasted coffee fan, stop in for a cup to go. You'll be back. And even better, the coffee comes from Columbia. They purchase it from a local importer (I believe). They provided the url via QR code. We believe in the "Buy local" philosophy. It's nice to see businesses doing business with local businesses. THE BAD: It's a small restaurant. Making a reservation (Open Table) is likely a good idea. We happened to find it at a slow moment on a Saturday morning. OVERALL: We're fans. I'd love to take our friends and family for lunch, or tell them about our new find. But he's also an extremely skittish rescue and it shows. I saw two women on the side of the building, clearly working. They looked like they were discussing business so I asked them if there was any way I could place an order online for pickup. They don't do same day order pickups. That's fine - they're clearly always busy. One of the women suggested that I could tie my dog to one of the posts they had along the sidewalk. But the other woman saw my hesitation and told me that she's a dog person and didn't mind holding his leash while I ran inside. This angel of a human clearly saw how relieved I was when she offered that option so we did just that. The very long and stocked glass display inside has multiple postings of what the offerings of the day are. The girls behind the register were extremely patient and sweet. It's busy on a weekday even so make sure to mosey over to the side if you're still deciding, like me. The laminated layers of pastry paired with pesto, tomatoes, and mozzarella bits are a mini gourmet savory treat! Roasted pineapple and passionfruit danish - 10/10 if you don't like tart, I would advise staying away from this one since it packs a very good punch. The passionfruit custard is generously applied throughout and while I'm not a passionfruit fan, I would get this again. Not after I try everything else on the menu first though!
