This was my first time ordering at this location. I arrived five minutes after opening time (7am). All doors were locked however I noticed employees stocking up the pastry shelves. One employee noticed I was at the door but continued with his task. I decided to cancel my online order and called the location. I spoke with someone to confirm the opening time and explained that the system was down. I used to love going to Panera Bread. Not in the last few years. This location, especially, is frustrating. I've come here on weekday evenings at 8 to find it closed although they're supposed to be open until 9. I got here today (Saturday) to grab a quick bite at 6:45 PM only to find it closed! Surprised, I checked the timings on the door to find that they have conveniently scratched off the closing times on weekdays and weekends and they now close anytime they wish. Very unprofessional. My fiancée and I's visit to this Panera was underwhelming to say the least. We ordered a Frontega Chicken panini as well as a Roasted Turkey and Kale panini. Not only was it not ready within the 10 minute rapid order pickup time, but while I was waiting, another customer notified the manager of a piece of plastic that he found in his salad. After the customer left, the manager told the cooks and said "Thank God he wasn't mad." After I was regaled with a rendition of the spongebob squarepants theme song by the manager and cook crew during my wait, I heard one of them say that something is burning. My fiancée discovered later that this was her panini that was burnt and which they also neglected to add bacon per her request. My panini was very bland and underwhelming as it has been spectacular at other locations. We won't be visiting this location again and maybe they should move this Panera location to a pineapple under the sea but it wouldn't last long competing with the Krusty Krab. Oh, and we were charged extra for the nonexistent bacon. Mr. Krabs would be proud. Update: My fiancée couldn't even drink the Iced Caramel Latte that we paid for because it tasted like burnt coffee and three cubes of ice somehow failed to keep it cold. I LOVE this Panera location. They rarely mess up my order ...i think that's happened once so i just went inside and got the forgotten smoothie. I typically get the chicken noodle soup, green goddess salad, any of the pasta( i prefer the mac n cheese) and the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. They're usually friendly even when the drive thru line is super long. This 5 star is for the day I forgot my wallet and they gave me my meal for free. I almost cried y'all. This was the worst take-out order I have ever been a part of. I ordered online and when I picked up my food they forgot 30% of my order. You can't make this stuff up. If they mess up your food and you call to discuss it, they will keep you on hold for over 20 minutes and the manager WILL NOT speak with you. I typically like Panera for their healthier choices and fresh food when you want something quick and casual. And I don't typically write reviews for large chain restaurants. However the Milton location is just awful. The tables and floors are almost always dirty. If you have a to go order there's a 50% chance your order will be wrong(last three times in a row it was wrong), there was a hair in my food one time, the employees curse in front of the customers-which is very unprofessional. The last time I was there(last visit ever) the employee dropped my sandwich on the floor, looked up and said "damn I dropped your sandwich", turned around and started making other orders. I noticed the past few visits to the windward location that the Sierra turkey sandwich I get has a different turkey meat on it and it's pretty awful tasting. I never paid any attention as to what type of meat they had, it always tasted good, but that has seemed to have changed in favor of a poor lunch meat turkey you'd expect to get from the Frugal Hoosier. The turkey consists of round slices that are wet and stuck together. Not like what it used to be. I know they also have roast turkey, which is not what this was, so I'll ask for that next time. I hope Panera is not beginning to cut corners on food quality. I wonder if that's what happened to the Atlanta Bread companies which used to taste good and be so abundant around here? read more

When prompted by the welcome greeting during my drive through experience, I asked "could you just give me a second" since so many items have been crossed off the menu due to covid, and I needed a moment to make my decision. Once arriving to the window, a woman working told me that she had overheard me ordering and that "You were being very rude. I heard your order" and continued to berate me about how I was rude and would not hand me my food until we had an extremely awkward conversation in which I apologized multiple times (for doing nothing) and when I finally got my sandwich the entire bottom half was wet and soggy. We usually like to stop here for lunch when we are on our way to doing some grocery shopping or just shopping, or whatever. This place is always very clean and the staff are always very friendly. I like how they list the fat and calorie content of some of the salads on the menu, I like to eat light during the week since I usually pig out on the weekends,LOL. As the name implies, this place is famous for its bread and although I usually abstain from eating white bread, I make the exception when I go to Panera Bread. The only minor problem I have with Panera Bread is that start asking you want you want to eat before you can really get through the door. I absolutely love this place. I had never been to a Panera Bread before I started working off of Windward. I tried it once and am now hooked. Their service and food quality is very consistent. I eat here at least 2-3 times a month. They have some strange things on their menu at times that I stay away from (what is an ancient grain salad???). The pick two is very convenient and for the area, a pretty good deal price-wise. I never eat in because they use real silverware and dishware and it freaks me out to think I'm going to trip and break a bowl of soup on the floor. If I'm in a hurry, I do the rapid pick up which is very convenient. You can order online, drive and pick your order up off a shelf near where you would pick up your order if you were eating in. I prefer this option because you get very detailed with your order on the website and add and remove ingredients. If I am not in a hurry, I go through the drive thru which can be ridiculously slow but I use the time to unwind and take a break from work. They have a rewards program which is pretty cool and you get a couple of bucks off of random things like a drink or pastry or a pick two. If you go through the drive thru you can enter the code online so you get the visit recorded. I haven't had a bad sandwich there and their macaroni and cheese is delicious. Soup I stick with broccoli cheddar and french onion. I have tried their baked potato and clam chowder and wasn't too overwhelmed. The salads are always fresh and are really yummy and a perfect portion. I wish they would offer a sweet option as a side, like a danish or cookie but it's only bread type items, chips or an apple. All in all, it's an awesome place for a quick, filling lunch. read more
