I arrived after 6:00 PM and was told they were out of coffee. Later, we bring light roast coffee because I waiting in the line to return and get my money.Then, I tried to order a pick-two mix-and-match deal with a chicken cranberry walnut salad sandwich and tomato soup.The cashier told me they were out of tomato soup. When I asked for broccoli cheddar instead, she claimed it wasn't on the list for the deal. I do not eat their chicken noodle or onion soups, so this was incredibly frustrating.Instead of handling the situation professionally, the employee went to the kitchen, said something to the other staff members, and they all started looking on my way laughing. It was a completely nightmare situation and made me feel very uncomfortable. Eventually, they suddenly "found" the tomato soup, but the staff continued to giggle and look at each other the entire time. No one ever apologized for the confusion or their rude behavior. Cancelled my sip-club membership. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I could never get to a Panera to grab my drink. Although, the drinks are really good, I prefer not to waste money. When visiting, I prefer the pick 2. I generally decide by how I am feeling and what I am in the mood for. Sometimes it's soup and salad. Sometimes it's salad and sandwich. This is about the Panera on Harlem Avenue in Burbank, IL. The GM is a good friendly guy who looks and acts like a professional. And, while he's on duty, the restaurant is run professionally. As soon as he's out of the building, though, things change. The back of the house gets completely out of hand. One of the cooks back there YELLS and SINGS at the top of his lungs. Customers turning around to glare at him has no impact on him. And, of course, the female managers feel no need to rein him in. As soon at the GM, a man, leaves the building, that is the last time the men's room is checked for supplies or cleanliness. On that subject, when the GM leaves, the dining room no longer gets cleaned. Dishes at the garbage stations are not collected, obviously, until they run out of dishes in the back of the house. There is a tall thin male employee with an extremely deep voice. If he could learn how to speak in an INDOOR voice, that would be awesome. At this moment, I've been in Panera for 15 minutes and I'm about to leave because of the yelling cook. I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup. Very disappointed. Basically broth a couple noodles, 2 small pieces of chicken and the bowl wasn't 1/2 filled. Sandwiches are great but this is unacceptable. I spoke to the lady behind the pick up counter and she was very nice but said it was the bowl that was the problem it was large so it just looked like less soup. The worst consistent service. The wait time for even a lemonade and cookie takes 30mins. Every time I have placed a pick up order on the app they forget at least 1 item. i have had to drive back multiple times and they refuse to give any compensation...I normally love Panera food but just don't go to this location. read more

We went there for a dinner. They have nice outdoor seating with plenty of room and tables. Good for people watching and enjoying the summer weather outdoors while eating. My stomach hurts a little even though I scraped all the yucky veggies off. Consistently, Inconsistent. Food is over all very good.. Staff has been pretty friendly.. But only up until you have food missing from your order, or made incorrectly. Then nobody sees you standing there with problems. Every time I've made a to go order, they have all been incorrect (either by something is missing, or the wrong food was put in the bag). Went for dinner tonight, there was 5 of us. They didn't have half of the things we wanted, very disappointing. The bill was $85 for what we didn't really want. After eating, two of us wanted something sweet. We waited a few minutes and a young man told us "she was on the phone" and would be with us soon. Every time I go there not one person smiles. There is the one lady that works the front that is somewhat friendly but still no smile. It took about 20 minutes to get a bacon and egg with no cheese sandwich. It was not busy at all. I went to get my coffee and I am assuming the lady walking around and wiping down the coffee station with a napkin was a manager because I was waiting for her to finish wiping down the station with that one napkin. I was standing there waiting for her to be done she made it pretty clear I was in her way by just her actions again no good morning or a smile. I really like Panera Bread I can only go occasionally because the little it's a little costly but I understand for a better quality food that sometimes you have to pay a little bit more than what you're accustomed to definitely cheap food cheap fast food is not always as healthy as you would like it to be Sometimes it's just not practical to prepare all your meals that you may need to consume and you might need to eat out I definitely try to limit it but on this particular day I was in a rush and I was able to get a lunch combo which included half a sandwich and soup cheddar cheese soup chicken sandwich sandwich was actually the best of the two I wasn't too thrilled with the soup kind of tastes kind of canned when I had the soup before it was more Hearty and Rich this time it wasn't his best but I still do like Panera I like the customer service I like that they have a patio and I was able to sit out and enjoy my my lunch along with other people on their lunch break cashiers are pretty friendly and the people who come out to serve you at your seat are pretty nice as well the bathrooms are pretty clean no complaints read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! I would've given 0 stars, I waiting 20 mins at the counter there way nobody in front of me and nobody behind me. I was the only inside order. There were 2 cars in the drive Thur at this time. I counted 8 employees in the kitchen. I spoke to the manager and asked for a refund. The manger then told me " I'm sorry that you don't understand how this location works". This location needs a completely new staff. I had high hopes for a great morning at Panera Bread; however, I received food that was not so great. My sandwich came back with bacon bits (cold hard old pieces of bacon). My order was eat in- so I'm surprised they would actually serve it to me like that. I made a complaint to the manager and she replied:"yeah this wasn't cooked fresh" Duh.. Roger that, but what are you going to do about it?! Finally the person who took my order made me a fresh sandwich. It took her 2 tries with the bacon. I had completely horrible experience at Oak Lawn IL Panera on 9/24 - Sunday 10:00AM(ish) 1. Floor was sticky, dining room looked like it was not serviced at all. Garbage on most tables, surfaces sticky everywhere. 2. Out of rolls for sandwiches - On a Sunday morning? Really? 3. Took 17 minutes to get a bagel and one small sandwich. Saw two other orders go out in that 17 minute period. (Yes, I timed with the time on my receipt.) Many people besides my self waited..and waited.... 4. I counted 9 people behind the counter - none of them even looked like they were slightly rushing to get orders out. Another one of the fast casual chain restaurants I like to go to...the food is great (their panini, soup, and desserts are fantastic) and the place in general is a great place to have a bite to eat. I have been coming here to this Panera bread for years since my kids were In high school. I love the ambiance it get very crowded when the high school students come out and stop by to eat. I love to sit by the fireplace it is very cozy and homie. I usually have a soup and a sandwich but this time I had a a salad I was not very happy with it because it said it had chicken unless the chicken flew the coop I did not get any. I was very lucky that day because they had the chicken wild rice soup my favorite. Yum. I can give this place 5 stars but the service is a little slow and the portions are very small.
