The changes that Panera has made makes it difficult to order if you are paying with cash. The customer service, is now just customer order. I miss the interaction with a person when ordering. If someone is technology challenged, it could lead to a loss of business. The menu changes are no longer conducive to someone with a smaller appetite. I was wanting a cup of soup and had to order a bowl. The amount of cheese on my French onion soup was minimal. I was expecting the top to be covered and was highly disappointed. read more

One nice thing about Panera is the consistency of their food, I never find it lacking. Sometimes at some locations they'll have problems with cleanliness or unenthused service (those 2 generally go hand in hand), but the food is always good. Being that it is consistent, I have the app on my phone. I stopped in there this past Monday because I got a notice that they were giving me a free bakery item for my birthday, so I had to stop by. I went up and the young lady at the counter smiled at me and said "Happy Birthday!" I then decided to order a tea since I'd already eaten lunch. She handed me a cup and as I handed her my card she said "No, it's your birthday!" I was even more taken aback. I thanked her and stuffed some money in the tip box and headed to my destination. This exchange makes me want to go back there again, and I most definitely will. I've had issues with with service at the College location and the one on 153rd, but they've always been exceptionally nice to me at this store, so it'll be my home Panera. Great baked items, basic coffees and tasty lunch choices. Panera is a favorite for quality food on great bread. That's how they started with sourdough bagels and then expanded to other bakery items, sandwiches, and a more substantial fast food cafe type menue. Panera was started as "St. Louis Bread" and the stores still carry the original name in St. Louis.....but obviously in San Franciso or Phoenix....St. Louis Bread just doesn't make sense. I haven't had a bad experience here in regard to the food. Staff is always friendly and service seems to be good. There's always someone checking for dirty tables too so that's nice to see they care about cleaning up. It's always made well and accommodating for any special requests. If you're a frequent patron here I definitely recommend their sip club program. I stopped using since my new jobs aren't near a location but it was nice when I did have them for lunch everyday. Downfall is that they can be a bit pricey. Their turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich is one of my favorite go-to's. This location is quite packed during the week days so I'd mainly order mine to go and sit outside if it was nice. read more

This is a great Panera Bread location. The restaurant is laid out nicely with plenty of room to breathe and roam, the employees are always fast and friendly, and the food is consistently well prepared, beautiful, and delicious. Recently I have ordered curbside pick up from the Panera app. It's very user friendly, and my food comes out quickly every time. I love this service and will definitely continue to use it as long as it's being offered. I tried something different today, and I do regret my choice. The new flatbread, in my opinion, fell pretty flat. I just ordered the cheese flatbread, so there isn't much to it, but it didn't have much taste at all, other than taking on a bit of the cardboard taste from the box it was delivered in. I do not fault this location however. I'm guessing this is the case with all Panera flatbreads. Several years ago they experimented with pizza and it was AMAZING but went away quickly. I was hoping it would be the same, but sadly it's not. Wouldn't order the cheese flatbread again but I'll definitely be back to this Panera location. The workers at this location appear to work hard, however, the cleanliness and feeling of safety in this location is lacking. We've been going to this location for nearly 20 years and as of late it seems very dirty and has broken services inside (such as the tea and lemonade machines). There are loiterers who are there every single day, no exaggeration. Taking up space for the entirety of the hours open, eating outside food, cursing loudly on the phone, and even drinking alcohol they bring in. We are aware a lot of staff were moved to a new location nearby, but we won't be making the drive to give the business our money anymore. Our area of town is family friendly and busy; it's a shame to see a store with big business opportunity be so unwelcoming. read more

I'm generally a fan of Panera, (minus a few locations but that's a story for a different time), and this location does pretty well. There was still a decent selection of pastries and bagels for just before lunch on a Saturday morning. We had a chocolate pastry, a cinnamon crunch scone, and a cinnamon roll. I think the chocolate pastry was my favorite, but would have been best served warm - the chocolate inside wasn't quite gooey. The cinnamon scone was definitely my favorite - lots of flavor and a delicious glaze on top! We also got a few iced coffee drinks - two caramel lattes, one regular and one with almond milk. They were good, but I guess the person making them wasn't having a great day. My boyfriend said she was complaining about everything and messed up twice (she announced it). While she probably shouldn't have been complaining, I do hope her day got better. read more

I called and talked with Luke who asked me to email them an order, so I did. They called me back twice to let me know that items were not longer on the menu and filled our order with no mistakes. Panera for breakfast - I'm happy to see Panera adding more options to their breakfast menu. Don't get me wrong, I love the fresh bagels and pastries. But I need protein in the morning. It's nice to see steel cut oats on the menu and the egg soufflés on the menu. They also have granola with fruit and breakfast sandwiches. If it's tea or coffee that you want, you can find a great selection of both. Now don't go expecting the best cup of joe you've ever had. But it's not a bad option. Panera doubles as a work space for many people. Some come to work alone and others have meetings there. I've done a few meetings there, but I'd only recommend it during no meal time hours, like 9:30-11am or 2-4:30pm. Otherwise the whirl of the machines and table chatter makes it extremely difficult to hear. Free wifi and outlets near some tables. But those are usually filled during busy times. Get a Panera card if you go often, you don't even have to carry it with you. Just give them your phone number. Every $ you spend earns points and then you earn free pastry items, $1 off entree and free drinks. I make the best of where I'm at, I'd love to live closer to some other unique coffee houses and breakfast joints, but Panera is close and convenient for me. So I make the best and find the things I can enjoy there. read more

This past Sunday I had only 30 minutes between church and play rehearsal to eat lunch. I ordered my lunch through the app, and when I got to the Panera a few minutes earlier than the app said my food would be ready, my order was already complete on the pick up shelf. I was able to eat my lunch and make it on time for my rehearsal. The food was delicious as usual, and I treated myself to a latte. Panera's Rapid Pick-up is the best lunch ordering option ever invented. Place your order and pay online. Your meal is packaged and ready to go in 10 minutes. Pop inside and there is a bag with your name on it on the shelf right inside the front door. No waiting in line, no need to talk to anyone, you're just in and out as quick as can be. I ordered 2 seasonal items: the Roasted Turkey Cranberry Flatbread and the Autumn Squash Soup. I added red onion to the flatbread for a bit more crunch. It smelled so good that I didn't even wait until I got back to the office; I started eating it in the car. The Flatbread is small, so it's a good option if you don't want a whole sandwich or if you would usually eat a half sandwich. The soup is delicious and was still piping hot when I got to my office. I've always enjoyed Panera's food, but avoided them at lunch because it's usually a madhouse inside with long lines and a big lunch crowd. Now that I know about Online ordering and Rapid Pick-up this will be my new go-to spot. So much better than grocery store soups, sandwiches, and salads, with comparable prices. read more

If you've ever been to one, you know what you're getting when you come to Panera. This location is no different. It can get quite busy at lunch time. It is a nice place to study or hang out for a bit. Especially between 10-noon, there are plenty of places to sit. Staff is all friendly. Food is standard Panera fare. It is close enough to the Dodge dealership to walk; I usually stop by here to keep working while my Jeep is getting serviced. Free wifi that is reliable and relatively quick. read more
