    The "diet bagel"
    Richard S.

Over priced for tiny portions. I literally overheard two people leaving the restaurant saying "see it was a lot smaller than you thought it would be, just like a side dish. Did you get enough to eat?" My bagel looked more like a puffy slice of bread than an actual bagel.

    Kiosk to order

This is not my favorite Panera location for several reasons. First, don't even try to walk in and order your meal, this place is jam packed and there is always only one person working the register. Your best option is online ordering, and they also have a kiosk at this location for you to enter your own order. Secondly, I have been here a few times to pick up lunch and have been sadly disappointed each time. The food is so TINY and so EXPENSIVE! I kick myself every time I order from here. Last week, my tiny and expensive salad was so wilted that I couldn't even eat it, so I paid $13 for a tiny cup of soup.

My first time at this location and visited with my girl friends. We sat outside because the temp inside this Sept day was downright frigid! Much too cold for us and most of the kids inside were in hoodies and jackets. This impacted my rating. I ordered a half tuscan chicken sandwich and BBQ flatbread. There were four of us and the food was ready very quickly. I LOVED the sandwiches; very flavorful and delicious! We all ordered cookies to go and they were also scrumptious! Well done!

This is a new location so I think they are still working on efficiency with the drive-thru.

Situated on North Park lake right next to the kayak livery with ample parking in the park, this is an ideal place to cool off and get some sustenance after your park activities. There is a bar area and indoor seating, as well as a nice waterfront patio with lots of tables with umbrellas if shade is needed. Good selection of craft and mass produced beer choices as well as other cocktails. Some interesting appetizers like spring rolls and house dip with chips as well as pretzel sticks and beer cheese. Main menu includes salads, burgers and sandwiches. The ranch is house made so don't forget a side for your fries!

There can be a wait during the lunch and dinner hours, but it's worth it. The first impressions are amazing. The inside is small but nicely decorated. Your eyes want to dart around and take in all of the elements that surround you. On our last visit, I was surprised by a bike hidden up in a ceiling nook I had never seen before. The whole restaurant has a breathtaking view of the man-made lake at North Park. Be sure to sit outside so you can take in as much of the view as possible. The atmosphere is abuzz with activity: there are runners taking on the 5-mile loop around the lake, there are kayakers and stand-up paddle boarders setting off to explore the far reaches of the lake, and there are birds and turtles and fish livin' their best life. My family and I have found our favorites on the menu: the Bike Lane BLT and the Chimichurri Chicken Bowl. Both are really good, but we tend to lean toward the BLT. It's just so unique! The kids' meals also come with a cute little surprise: the plate is a frisbee that they get to take home. How cool is that? North Park is easily one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh, and this is just another reason why.
