I have always had a good experience here. at this location. I order the pick 2 and it comes out to me with everything I order and fairly quick. I go to this location because I work in Rancho Cordova and there are a lot of eateries here. I do not recommend this location. And will not go back. The girl in the drive-through was very rude , didn't get her name since she did not have name tag in her. She had tattoos on her arms and had very long nails, not really appropriate for this job. Never got this kind of experience at any of the Panera cafes. Was not asked for a reward card when placing order and when I told the girl at the window that I want to use my phone E number she said it's too late since she already ran the card. I think she should've asked if we had rewards card in the first place. We ordered soups and salads and got only knives. They need to pay attention what they are putting in the bag. hi-ya! I've been coming here more often then not lately...and I don't know why people have rated this location with only a handful of stars? The eatery is clean, albeit the seating setup is kind of weird (just seems crammed). The customer service is fairly knowledgeable, food comes quickly (or you can call in ahead) and I haven't eaten anything there I didn't like. The chocolate chip cookies are yummy btw. Prices are what you expect mildly high, but not out of control for the quality you get. While lines can be long shortly after noon each day, it goes fairly quickly. Ordered a half sandwich, half soup combo for my lunch today on the app. The Steak and Cheddar Panini I got, barely had any meat on it. It didn't even cover the whole sandwich. It was basically a bread and cheese panini that I bought for $9. I was so mad. The whole parking lot of the complex was closed off so it was a task to even get to the restaurant to pick up my food. When I'm sick I crave for that famous Panera Chicken Noodle! It has so much flavor and the chicken is very flavorful. I'm all about consistency and I feel that every time I come to Panera the soup is always on point! It's never too salty, it's always packed with a good amount of carrots, celery and perfectly cooked noodles. With a slice of their sourdough this is the perfect combination when you are sick. Absolutely the worst Panera Bread I have ever visited. For the record I waited until after my second visit to write this review. This place is screaming for New Management. I called 30 minutes in advance and place my order on both occasions that I visited here. Each time I visited my order had not even been started yet. I was really disappointed. The staff really didn't move with a sense of urgency at all. They were friendly ish. The floors were dirty and both times they were out of everything except regular cream cheese. I asked them why they didn't have the other flavors of cream cheese. They told me they haven't had the other flavors in months. Aren't you a bagel shop? I mean I know they offer other things, but when you're competing with other big businesses like Noah's... You would think you would at least have other flavors of cream cheese. I ordered their avocado chicken sandwich and when I was about to eat it I notice the avocados were black(rotten). Luckily I checked before I ate it. I ended up throwing the whole sandwich away. I ordered the steak and white cheddar sandwich... they informed me they are out of the picked onions but assured me they still put grilled red onion on it .. ok fine I said I asked for extra horseradish.. then orders the Asian chicken salads with no almonds as part of the pick two .. got home only to find nasty old meat and no sauce at all and my salad had old lettuce and no cilintro at all !! Additionally, 95% of the time my drink order is not available behind the counter, which also lacks explanation of a usually confused front staff that just hand you a cup to appease the situation. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ! DO NOT COME HERE! We came through the driver through at 2:50PM PST AND ORDERED A EARL GREY TEA. As we were leaving we realized it was the incorrect tea and one of the girls came out , while we were in the drive through and told us this is the early grey tea and we are wrong. I'm not sure what's going on with the management at this location, but looking at the other recent reviews I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks customer service at this Panera location is going downhill! The sign at front says they accept exact change only, but I wanted to break a $20 bill and asked the cashier at the front if it's possible to get change if I used cash. She acted like I was an imbecile for asking, saying that of course she would give me change if I use cash but if I wanted to break a bill I should just go to the bank...while yes, that's true, I wanted to buy a meal at Panera while also breaking the bill. Why that was so hard to understand, I'm not sure??? I pointed out that the sign says they accept only exact change, that's why I was making sure before I ordered. But she just stared at me blankly and ignored what I said... What made me ultimately write this review is how the staff at this location acted when they gave me a dollar bill that was literally ripped in half, barely holding together by a single piece of tape. I noticed a second after receiving the bill and pointed out the issue, and asked if they can give me one that's more intact. The cashier said, "You know you can just use it still, right?" I said yes, but I just want a bill that's more intact. I didn't really elaborate further on this point because shouldn't it be obvious I would want an intact bill rather than a ripped one?? Especially if they can just give me one from their register?????? What really angered me is that after the cashier told me they have to receive permission to open the register to give me the bill, I saw her walking to someone who was sitting down in the restaurant on break (I'm assuming it was a manager?) and the cashier relayed what was going on. Placed an online order to be delivered to my office. Ordered a "you pick two" combo with chicken noddle soup and half Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich. The delivery driver showed up on time and hands me an order that clearly wasn't mine. The order she handed me was for at least 6 people. Tried calling the restaurant while the delivery driver took it back to get the correct order. NO ONE ANSWERED. I realize it is lunchtime and that there is probably a staffing shortage, but you take 10 seconds out of your schedule to answer the phone - how about using a headset? I'm not a huge fan. The folks here are nice enough, but the product is mostly bland and uninspired. Even the items that have an elevated description fall short of even tamed expectations. If you stick to the basics you will find this a worthy stop. Also, a solid place to get a bakers dozen (13) bagels on Tuesday for only $8.99. Get there early, or order ahead, they sell out quickly. At just over 70 cents each it's worth a periodic stop to load up the freezer. The have a decent phone app to order in advance and that works well for when I am pressed for time. Also, giving a price point of $ on Yelp ($10 or less) really isn't fair. If you order a basic sandwich and a beverage you're over $10, even before tax. read more

I ordered on the website for curbside pick up being that I had my children. The pick up time for my order was 12:13, but I received a text at 12:10 that my order was ready. I get there around 12:15, followed instructions to check in, turn on hazards, and park in the parking for pick-up. Well I waited till about 12:30 and instead headed inside to grab the food. Why do curbside if the business can't handle that side of it, I get business' get busy but don't offer curbside if there aren't enough staff. I'm so glad this place opened up near my house. Now I have a place in my neighborhood to get fresh baked goods and a place for casual brunch/lunch. What's also cool is that they have a drive-thru. Kosher happy.... My grandma's friend is Kosher, 93 and full of life with a infectious laugh. I took her to an appointment and she wanted Panera after "because they are so nice". Our food was prepared quickly and correctly with special attention paid to her food. There was an expediter at the window making sure everyone had the right order. I wanted to know what the hype about this place was all about, so I asked hubby to get me a salad one afternoon. He got me the Strawberry Poppyseed & Chicken salad: all-natural, antibiotic-free chicken, romaine lettuce, fresh strawberries, blueberries, pineapple and mandarin oranges and pecans with fat-free poppyseed dressing. The description and picture of the salad on their website almost made my mouth water. Needless to say, I had high expectations for this salad and couldn't wait to try it. When hubs brought the salad home, I could hardly contain myself to dive in. I had asked him to get me their apple balsamic dressing on the side, just in case I didn't like the poppyseed one. I drizzled the apple balsamic on top, took a bite of the salad, and was surprised at how absolutely tasteless it was. I then put the poppyseed dressing on top and was overwhelmed by how incredibly sweet (too sweet!) the salad tasted. I was not impressed in the least bit with this salad.
