Well it is convenient to have a bakery of sorts not too far away. The curbside works well. Location fairly convenient to access. The breads are inconsistent at times. Loaves are best, baguette is worst. Sometimes it is fresh chewy dark crust sourdough, other times it is closer to 1/2 day old grocery store sweet french bread. Best to go in and look before buying their baguettes. I usually find their sandwiches and salads consistently good but have never ordered them here. read more

I always have high hopes for a place like this where everything is more expensive than usual. Ordered a iced coffee with my unlimited sip club and I thought you could add sugar and milk for free, nope it was $2 and something. I couldn't even tell you how much exactly because they didn't give me my recipe. Iced coffee was super watered down. I also ordered a bear claw and it was super cold like strait out the fridge. Very disappointed Panera. A huge banner is display in front of the building "dinning in open". Me and my moms decide to has lunch there. There was a couple seat and eating when we got in. I ordered and confirm with the employee if is ok to seat and eat inside (102 degrees outside by the way) he said yes. All cool, BUT when I get the food they gave it us in a bag like a to go order. I said we order to eat here and the supervisor say: no dinning area is close and shows me a paper print from a computer than say "just to go or mobile orders". I tell him but the other clients were able to eat here and you have a huge banner out side that says dinner room open and the cashier confirm me that too, that what you have is a print peace of paper than saying other thing. My last two orders have been wrong. I ordered a grilled cheese and this is what I got. I called as soon as I got home and they said that they would write my name down and replace my order that was on 9/22. I came back today for my free meal I showed her a copy of my receipt and a photo of my "grilled" yet she still refused to replace my meal. read more

Watch out if you use a debit card. They placed a hold on my card for twice the amount of the meal. There is nothing that can be done until the bank opens. They suggested I wait for 4 days to contact them again. Personally having my money on hold for their issue creates a serious problem. The steak sandwich was expensive and had a bad taste. There was not much to the sandwich and since we didn't want chips, they offered us bread. I love bread but a sandwich with a side of bread is ridiculous for almost $11.00. There smoothies were tasty but we're not worth the $5.00 for such a small cup. Don't think I will be going there again. Very disappointed! read more

I would suggest you call prior to going to this location. I can recall at least a half dozen times in the last year that the location was supposed to be open, yet it was closed. This past weekend, the sign on the front door says "Drive Thu Only". Go through the drive thru only to find out that the store closed at 2pm. They need to communicate better! read more

I always come here on my lunches, food is always ready on time, and it's always great. Service is good, drive thru cashiers are quick and nice. Sometimes it's a little wait on drive thru lines but it's like that anywhere you go. Drinks here are amazing im obsessed. A little pricey however you pay for what you get. read more

Went there twice, first time they were rude but food was good. Went to this location another time and got a couple salads and pizza . The salads gave me and my daughter really bad diarrhea. I love Panera but my last order pick at the Riverbank store was a disappointment not only was the lettuce spoiled in my sandwich and even though I took out the lettuce the smell was in the bread so I couldn't eat it.. And my daughters avocado was also not good she was able to continue to eat her sandwich after removing the avocado. After about a month of being open, you would think the staff would know what to do, but from what I've heard from my mom it is usually dirty and the staff doesn't offer to clean. Went through the drive-through to get myself a chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese.not only did they try to overcharge me for something I didn't order. The chicken was still almost frozen when I bit into it! Mac and cheese was luke warm. The team over there needs to step up their game or the manager needs to hire more people cause they're definitely taking shortcuts to get that line moving faster. I never leave bad reviews because I always assume everyone is really trying to do their best, but I truly cannot say that about this Panera location! We have come in two weekends in a row between 8-9 am and they "don't have any soufflés" ready, or they are "sold out" already was the other thing we were told. How can that be? The stop selling them at 10:30 am, but they don't have any of them at 9 am because they aren't ready? On a Saturday in a busy chopping center?? The main reason we come here on the weekend is to order soufflés since they have paired down their breakfast menu, so they only have two items: sandwiches (with only bacon as a meat option) and soufflés. They did not offer to even start cooking any, nor was there an apology, just we don't have any and that's that. Also, we waited for several minutes before being greeted, we assumed they were short staffed, but nope, to our surprise there were 7 employees total working in the back! They were prepping a long line of pizzas for lunch, at 9 am, but they couldn't prepare/cook soufflés for the morning customers? Sadly we won't be going to this location anymore, we still drive to the McHenry location from now on. read more

This review isn't about service, food, etc. After all, a Panera is a Panera and I have always had pretty consistent experiences with their offerings and service. This 2 star rating is directed towards the short shrift of Panera as a company in the design of this particular restaurant. The outdoor section is an afterthought. A few tables with umbrellas on a concrete pad. I was at the Panera in Lodi the other day and the outdoor area was lovely with a garden-like environment. A shame that in Riverbank, Panera went so cheap with a store built from the ground up when they had the opportunity to do a little more. read more
