Why do I even EVER think that what I see on TV I will get in the restaurant. Just slap me silly, please !!! When I saw the commercial for the squash soup/flatbread turkey sandwich, well, I just had to have it. I LOVE fall foods. My favorite time of year. The squash soup was to die for,, creamy, squashy and just the right amount of spice. The flatbread sandwich was pretty much flatbread with raw spinach, a few cranberries, and if you looked really hard, you might find a little slice of turkey in there. Don't know where the herb cheese spread was, or the zesty cranberry mostarda (just he few cranberries mentioned earlier). The flatbread was quite large, the filling only filled maybe 1/3 (and I'm being generous) of it, so I literally had to tear off 2/3 of the flatbread so I could get to the sandwich part. Oh, and it says it's slow roasted turkey, NOPE, smoked turkey,, and I hate smoked meats. Very disappointing. Drinks were just as awful if not worse than the sandwich. Every tea they offered was tasteless (yes I tasted them all) and they serve Pepsi products (Horrors!!) so I was screwed on the drinks. So why give them 3 stars,,, the soup,,,they have awesome soups. Learned my lesson, once again, I will return but only for soup, salad and the occasional loaf of bread to take home. read more

Panera is one of my regular spots. I always hit them up either locally or when I'm traveling. And this one doesn't disappoint. Staff is pretty attentive and friendly and the food is consistently good. I consider it more of a lunch spot but they have breakfast and some warm dinner type options. Sandwiches, soups, salads and some pastas make up most of the menu. It's a bakery so it's a good choice for fresh baked goods and artisan style breads. There are plenty of drink options as well, coffees, teas, smoothies, etc. Price hovers around $10 for a meal, drink, and a treat. Free Wifi is a bonus and makes it a good spot to work on the road. But don't be a tool and order something if you're occupying a seat and bandwidth... Now go rock on with your life! read more

Then they still didn't give me the side pickles I had ordered. Then, the portion size of the Mac and cheese LARGE doesn't even fill half the bowl up. Safe food is served at 165. The soup stirred was 138. The Mac n cheese was pulled from frozen packets and cooked long enough to squeeze into the container. Still cold in the container. If I wanted to cook I wouldn't have spent $50 on Panera. The line associates complained loudly about having to pull out the food that was put away 20min before closing. The Fuji salad was missing ingredients too. Expected more from a Panera. I've gotten better service and food from McDonald's. read more

This place used to be so good. Its been at least 1 year since my last visit. I walkes in and ordered a soup and sandwich meal. Went into the diningroom to wait. It smells so weird. And you can feel the moisture in the air. There must be a leak somewhere....a big one. They need to fix that as soon as possible. Well i ate and finished my meal. So, I am at Panera Bread in Riverview, FL, and I am ordering a half sandwich and a soup in a breadbowl. I order, and am told that they do not have the bread for either the sandwich or the breadbowl. So I said, "the bread place is out of bread?" The girl behind the counter responded with a pissy attitude, "I'll get the manager if you want"...I accepted her pissy offer, and asked the manager to give me the larger soup since I had to make concessions on their account of not having bread. He said no, because he couldn't ring it up like that. Whatever happened to managers giving a crap about customer satisfaction. IT WAS THEIR FAULT THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY DAMN BREAD!!!! Service at this location was very disappointing. The girl behind the counter was cold and did not even use please or thank you. Our baked goods were placed on the counter and left without a word. We had asked for a cinnamon bun warmed. It arrived cold and a large piece of it missing. I asked for it to be warmed. She told me that I could put it in the customer microwave and did not even indicate where the microwave was located. Definitely not the service we are used to from Panera. Mom died, and Psychodad wanted to have a sort of reception slash memorial greeting in his apartment. The first thing we thought of was Panera. We have a friend who handles the catering at a Panera in Virginia, and she does such a good job that we went to this Panera to have them cater Psychodad's reception. It was fantastic. The delivery was right on time. I mean it was right on time. We asked them for twelve o'clock, and they came right at twelve o'clock. We asked for some sandwiches, chips, pickles and cookies. We received several compliments, and people asked us where we got the catering. Thanks so much to Panera for providing the food for this event. It went off well. We had a lot of people. And ultimately I think it provided some comfort to Psychodad for the loss of his spouse. read more

Location: Big Bend Road, Riverview. This location needs to train its high school/college staff better. They are unassumingly rude, and more interested is socializing with each other, than focusing on customer service. I blame the manager of this location for their staff's poor service. We were served by Olivia, who needs re-training in customer service. She handed us our beverage cups by saying, "here". What?! It's leadership's responsibility to train, and correct, staff providing poor service. It's also management's role to supervise to ensure clean eating areas. It's unacceptable to have dirty tables, while staff are standing around gossiping. The lobby area has a strange odor, that I can only attribute to using a dirty mop. On the other spectrum, we had a young African American gentleman vacuuming in close proximity to where we were eating. Really?! Even if the staffer didn't recognize that vacuuming while customers are eating is unsanitary; at the very least he should know that it's not a pleasant eating experience. This Panera is just down the street from where I live. I really love all of their food. The restaurant is always neat and tidy. They are usually busy but work to get you in and out quickly. Why only 3 stars? I think the Panera in the Brandon Mall is better. I feel like they aren't as friendly here. I always order the broccoli cheddar soup. Especially if I'm under the weather I crave this soup. Their chicken salad is amazing. I've also had a couple of their paninis. So yummy! I have never ordered something that didn't taste good. My boys love their muffies. I love that they have those. I don't think my boys could ever finish one of the muffins so the muffies are perfect. read more

I was waiting for my food watching a manager help make food,a girl turned picked up her food and than dropped it on the floor. She pick it up with a napkin brought it back to the counter and ask to have it remade,the manager said yes and remade the food but use the same plate and the same napkins that she picked up her food off the floor with re-folded the napkins and put it on the plate. this is disgusting I was always told this Panera bread was like this never believed it until I witnessed it myself this morning..... Don't get takeout!!! Was a Panera fan, but the shockingly inconsistent food quality has now pushed me over the edge of no return. Ordered take out Thai Chicken Wonton Bowl and Roasted Turkey Kale. I got home and opened my goodies only to be greeted by a takeout bowl of wontons and broth that looked half eaten. Literally...it didn't even fill up half of the bowl. Perhaps it leaked on the way home? Nope, paper bag was completely unmolested by any leaking food. After cleaning out the bowl after a meager four bites (mind you that I paid $8.99 for this bowl (see posted picture), that's like $2 per wonton and a dollar for some overcooked broccoli and broth) I was actually almost pleased that there wasn't a proper sized serving as it was that inedible. On to my sandwich, I couldn't quite get what the sandwich was supposed to taste like because on one half of the sandwich was the turkey and on the other half was the cheese and kale. Again, I got half of what I paid for... Don't bother with takeout. The quality issues will drive you crazy as you're left with a pile of crap food and no recourse as you have better things to do than drive all the way back to offer them constructive criticism. read more

I haven't lived here long, but I am very pleased with the Rapid Pick Up process. My order is always right, completed on time, and I can run in and pick it up without having to deal with anyone on days I don't have time to deal with people or chat. I also downloaded the Panera App and used it for the first time today. The fact that I can use my stored card from my online profile and very easily customize my order made being a customer a breeze. Hubs and I are totally easy going when it comes to the luncheon spots around town. We usually keep it simple with a salad or sandwich shop, and Panera fits the bill whenever we need to find a quick bite. The menu consists mostly of sandwiches, soups, salads, and a few breakfast items like croissants, bagels and pastries. They are mostly known as a bakery and they boast about their artisan baked breads and pastries, but I personally don't find them to be above a neighborhood grocer in this department. I do enjoy the freshly pressed panini style sandwiches and the accompanying soups that can be "picked two" style. The French Onion soup and the Chipotle Chicken sandwich are my usual favorites when we visit. In addition, I must say that I am a fan of their fresh brewed teas and coffees. The Acai Berry is flavorful and refreshing. This location appeared to be a good condition, especially considering that it's fairly new. The staff then argued with me telling me I never ordered from then even though I could show the payment receipt.
