This is one of my favorite casual restaurants in Rohnert Park. I know it is part of a chain, but I have visited other Panera bread locations all across the U.S., and this one is a standout because of its friendly and helpful staff and excellent service. (I also want to single out one of the managers, Shane, for being so helpful and accommodating to me every time I walk in.) The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and I always take advantage of the online deals as part of the Panera Sip Club. I never feel rushed whenever I sit down for a leisurely meal to enjoy my food and maybe read a book while I eat. I will be returning to this location for as long as I live in the area, and if I move, I'll find a new Panera to hang out at, instead. read more

If I could give lower than a 1 star I would and let me tell you why. The evening manager took delight in misgendering me by using "sir". I am a m2f transwoman. I am small business owner and generally well respected in the community here. I have on previous occasions politely corrected her in this time. Every time she uses that word, she has a little smirk on her face like she knows what she's doing and she is doing it intentionally. She has also intentionally screwed up my order completely and I know that because it is very difficult to confuse a salad with a soup. She is simply a bigot. And to make matters worse, I have previously reached out to the corporate headquarters to complain about this individual and they did nothing about her. So no fuck them they get one star read more

Its been years since I have been back in Panera but my first time here in RP! Food is still good! They still have the combo which is half salad/half soup and sandwich. I always get the chicken salad sandwich and the wild rice and chicken soup! The service is great and friendly. The wait time is reasonable and the service is wonderful. I stayed in the restaurant for a bit longer coz I always find it quiet in Panera and I can catch up on either reading or writing when I am there. I have to say, the Manager at this location is not only a good manager, he's excellent at being a leader in excellence. I preordered a Chipolte Chicken Avacado half sandwhich as I usually do. When the bag was handed to me by a kind young lady, it was rather light (10.49 for half sandwhich) and I pulled it out and it was tiny, like half a Taco Bell burrito. I asked if it was a mistake or why was it so small, she got her manager. He was so kind and also agreed it was made tiny and not right. I was excited he said he would make a new one for me. Not only was it perfect, it was delicious and he threw in a cookie and the other half of the sandwhich complimentary, which he didn't have to do but did and was appreciated. He was fast, effective, respectful, and didn't argue as other places sometimes will do. The restaurant is always clean and in good condition. The staff is super friendly very nice to customers. One lady decided to have her lunch refunded after eating half of it. The staff didn't blink and eye, smiled and gave her money back. We were really hungry on our way home today, so we wanted comfort food and healthy. Wow, Nadia behind the counter was awesome. Very cheerful, helpful and very friendly. Laughing with her customers. It was sooooo refreshing to see this. We both ordered chicken noodle soup and Turkey sandwiches. The bread was sooooo soft, and the soup was hot and delicious. I think each Panera has different protocols for everything. Very interesting, but I wish they had some thing more of a standard form. I asked for an iced coffee since I have the sipping drink monthly membership, and the lady behind the counter went to fill up my iced coffee. I don't like the Columbian coffee because it's too strong for me. I always get a bunch of ice and water down the hazelnut one. Lol yes I like very light/week coffee. But the lady was rather perplexed by my request for just an empty large ice cup. My boyfriend had to explain to her what I was going to do and then she still handed me a cup with a rather perplexed look on her face. This particular Panera did have a cool local endorsement with lemonade and a deal with the lemon drop cookies while supporting a local fundraiser. I took a picture of the display. read more

I ordered food via Uber. I had tuna sandwich and cream of broccoli. The soup was so watery and bland. Also, I can't believe how small the portions were. I literally got 1/4 of a sandwich and the bowl is smaller than any cup of soup I've ever had. They are getting cheap, expensive and wasn't that good. I don't recommend. read more

The price on the menu for a "You pick two" Tuna salad sandwich with a free side is $7.19. On September 26th, I was charged $9.19 for this item.  When questioned, the staff defended the price, and said it would have been $7.19 if I had ordered two additional items.   Nowhere on the menu does it specify that you are charged $2 more if you don't order the additional two items.  On an earlier visit to Panera, I ordered the 1/2 tuna sandwich with mac and cheese, and I was charged the full price for the mac and cheese, plus the price of the sandwich.  This does not make sense. I don't care about the $2.  But this is false, and misleading advertising, unworthy of a business in Novato. Panera is a good chain, but this spot is down right "tur-able" as the great Charles Barkley would say. Out of the three times I've been here, each time has been a disaster. Two times the orders were messed up, of course the first time I brought it back and they fixed the problem, but the second time not so much (Drove home to be disappointed). The inside is quite hit or miss in terms of cleanliness, hence while I've never eaten inside. Staff is about the same in terms of hit or miss, most of the time they forget you are the customer and are very short and not helpful at all. I understand it is a chain restaurant job, but a job is a job when it comes to customer service. I am not bagging on the brand to be clear, it just seems this location is not up to the regular Panera Bread standards. Outside of the cleanliness and staff, they seem to not put a lot of effort into the food as I've had incorrect orders (Again) and lack or effort with the food itself in terms of portions. They were out of tomato soup, my friend said her potato soup tasted sour, and the sour dough bread that comes with the soup was so hard you couldn't even break it in half!!!! Visited on a weekday at lunch time. So sad to see that the restaurant was practically empty. Guess that many restaurants are still operating with challenges brought by the pandemic. Ordered salad, soup, and sandwich. The salad was fresh and the ingredients worked well in flavor and texture. The soup was creamy smooth and the broccoli was fresh. The beef and cheddar sandwich was equally good. However, the cookie (although large) was not at the level of a premium cookie; will save my calories next time. we always had problems with this bakery and this was the last straw... we will no longer purchase anything from this bakery.. rude, theydonot follow through on their marketing of credits , their coffee is always watered down. purchased bugles and they ask if wanted them toasted , i prefer them not toasted.. they came back not only toasted b ut badly burned.. the people behind are not properly trained... No customer satisfaction here, l ordered a 1/2 french dip sandwich it comes with a 1/2 cup of Au jus and either a chips or baguette piece which l asked for, and never got it, next visit l walk in and order a full size french dip and when l got home it only had a 1/2 cup of Au jus for a full size sandwich which wasnt enough for the whole sandwich which was dissapointing, next visit today l went drive through ordered a full size french dip and asked to fill the Au jus cup to be full as lm paying for a full size sandwich, the Mgr says they cant fill it up unless they charge me for a side order of soup for $8.00 just to fill the small cup of Au jus which would be like 3 ozs of liquid, $8.00 to top off the Au jus while im paying for a full sandwich!! We have frequented Panera Bread for many years. Recently we ordered our favorite sandwich, the Tuna Salad Sandwich. When we got home the sandwich had one small scoop of tuna salad on one end of the bread! It was like eating two pieces of bread with onion and not enough of salad to even taste it! We called and spoke with the manager and sent the attached picture. He said we would get free sandwich at our next visit. We went back a few days later and picked up the free sandwich. I told the cashier the situation and then discussed the problem with the person making the replacement sandwich. The new sandwich also had one small scoop of salad on it and it too was tasteless. I guess Panera Bread is cutting back to save money, but they have lost me and my wife as repeat customers! read more

I tried the chef's signature take on the spicy chicken sandwich, which I looked forward to since Panera had always managed to walk the razor's edge between mass market and artisanal appeal. Unfortunately, I was sadly disappointed. While the concept of a chef's signature collection would have piqued the interest of any gourmand, the execution at store #202216 of the spicy chicken sandwich failed to attain even the casual standards set by "god's chicken" at the cross-town rival Chick-fil-A. The Panera offering presented a soggy brioche bun with even limper breaded onion bits. The soggy buns could have been forgiven had the breaded onion been crisped. Alas, the sauce provide neither redemption nor flavor--unless the objective was to hint at spice rather than provide actual heat. Overall, my experience with Panera Bread's spicy chicken sandwich garnered 2 stars. Although there was never any hope of a Michelin star, a $12 chicken sandwich in the year 2022 should have at least stoked desire in one's taste buds. read more

My baked potato soup tasted sour, as if lemon had been added, and it didn't need lemon or made with sour milk and hadn't been tasted for quality. Not enough potato in it, only seven pieces in a bowl. Did not seem like it had been baked, just cooked in sour broth. The 'bag it' as the cashier called it... the baguette was hard as a rock, through and through. I didn't return it since my first choice, tomato, was sold out at 5 pm. I do not recommend the Rohnert Park location after eating this food. read more

Drive-Through lunch. Pick2, soup and 1/2 a sandwich. $12 later, a half eaten sandwich and halfway back to work I see a hair melted and wrapped through the sandwich. OMG!! It was bad, I almost cried. Called them. Of course I completely understand, a human did make my sandwich, it happens.... was put on hold and was offered the entire meal, again, delivered to my work. 15 minutes later I had another sandwich and everything else, hair-free. Either this place is understaffed or under trained or under something, as every time I go through the drive through, it takes approx 25-30 min for 5 cars. I wish this was an exaggeration, but it is not I currently jus my sat for 26 min for 6 cars (I was the 6th) And all I ordered was a grilled cheese and a soda. Nothing else, and I waited at the window for no less than five of these minutes. First the entire order was about $80... a bit shocking for the QUALITY of food... The macaroni and cheese was cold.. the grilled cheese, melted cheese on raw white bread- barely toasted. I have not always been a huge Panera fan but this visit changed my mind. We had been without power for 5 days compliments of PG&E and needed WiFi and charging for our devices. We arrived at the counter and ordered a artichoke spinach soufflé and a couple of coffees. The server warmed our mugs for us and actually comped the soufflé because they had been sitting for a while (but still tasted amazing). The coffee was strong but not bitter and we sat enjoying it and taking care of online stuff while our devices charged. We really felt relaxed and at home. read more

Delivery was terrible. French onion soup spilled inside bag & our sandwiches were drenched in onion soup. Then when she the delivery driver exchanged the bag it was dripping & the entire contents of the bag dropped onto our entrance hall floor. What a disaster!! UPDATE 8/13/23: We sent these comments to Panera through their Customer Care last night and received a reply and a good resolution to our complaint this morning. I am actually very impressed with their promptness and attention to our concerns. 8/12/23: We had dinner here this evening around 6:40. Sandwich and soup were very good, but the meal was really unsatisfying because the restaurant was out of butter so no butter for our bread, and the only beverages available were from the soda dispenser... none of the fresh-brewed iced teas that we enjoy so much (all containers were empty and obviously not being refilled, but the restaurant doesn't close until 9pm, so do they not make the teas available for the dinner meal?). read more

I signed up for the unlimited coffee membership and let me tell you, best thing ever! I just do a mobile order ( can be done as early as two weeks in advance LOL), tell them what time I'll be there, head on over for curb side pick up, once I get there I notify them that I'm there, someone comes out with my drink and off I go with a hot drink in hand. I love it! I stop by here most mornings now to get my morning coffee/ tea before heading to work.
