I started out with Panera for the coffee and breakfast goodies. My favorites are the power breakfast sandwich the strawberry yogurt granola parfait and any of the bakery items the quiche is also pretty tasty as well .... honestly, all the baked goods I have tried so far have been very tasty. Lately I've been trying out some of the pasta and salad options for dinner on and off. A half salad for dinner makes me feel less guilty about going out for happy hour eats with the gang later in the week =-) I did have to knock a star for a couple of little grumbles. Once is that both times I've used the restroom, they were looking a little grungy .... not outright dirty, but .... just a lil bit. More of an issue is the location. This particular shopping plaza has a growing problem with agressive panhandlers in the parking lot / commons. They have a habit of hanging around and then approaching as many people as possible that are entering the shops here seeking handouts. I had this happen to me three days in a row, once in the early morning and twice at night. I like to feel guilt-free about my virtuous and low-calorie salad for dinner, but not if I have to dodge the beggars to get it =-( read more

Let me start off by saying: I love Panera! And it wasn't until today that I felt the need to leave a review for them. A bad one. This is the 2nd time in a month that I come to this location at 9am and they are out of bagels and their espresso machine is not working. This is a fairly new location for items to break down. It is in a busy area (hospitals, offices, Costco, etc) and there shouldn't be any room for this. I am just highly disappointed. This location is near my hospital so I made a quick run for some food. I called an order in and they told me it would be done in ten minutes. I came in about 20 minutes after that call ended and my order was still being made. I wasn't annoyed about that or anything, but a promise is a promise. Walked in around 0900 today, I was the only person in line and waited a good 10 min before ordering. I was told by three different people, "Be with you in a minute". They apparently prioritize phone in and online orders over the people dining in. So 10 min to order and that's no exaggeration, then another 20 min for the food to be ready. We spent a good 45 min for what should be a quick 15-20 min in/out bite to eat. Glad I didn't need to be anywhere but my daughter had to inhale her food. I guess this is how things are now at fast food type of places. It's a trend happening everywhere. Take care of the computer first and the live people are invisible. Seriously, we usually love Panera, but this one is horrible!! I ordered the chipotle chicken panini and I swear they put some wet canned chicken on my sandwich. I asked for the manager and questioned when they started using canned chicken and she just gave me an ugly look and told me she guarantees it's not canned. Not even an I'm sorry or can I get you something else. I'm not fooled. This is straight up from a can or a bag. My daughter had a turkey sandwich that tasted like tuna. I tried this place for the first time today. I've always wanted to try Panera Bread because all the breads look so delicous, however I have been hesitent because people told me it's expensive. Well, I'm very glad I tried this place. The food is really good and the service was very fast. I tried the Dijion Chicken Panini and I would totally come back again to try other sandwiches. I also bought a Asiago cheese demi and that was also great. I'm very picky when it comes to things I'll eat, my bf always complains that he can't take me anywhere because he thinks I'm too picky. Next time I'm going to try the 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 soup combo. It is also a great healthy alternative to other fast food places. They also have free wi-fi here. I dig the breads, cookies, and bagels. I came here on Saturday morning to try out the breakfast bagel sandwich my wife was telling me about. It was the Steak & Egg bagel sandwich, I must say it was pure goodness!! I like how the bagel was pressed down on the panini maker. I forgot what bagel it normally comes on, but we got the Jalapeno & Cheese bagel. Very very good, if you guys haven't tried it out yet, but are strongly thinking about it. Sometimes I came on weekend morning when it get really busy, the staff behind the cashier still doing the chitty chatty.. while the line is getting long. But that did not happen all the time. We went to Panera at 11:45 a.m. on a Tuesday & were told that there would be an hour wait because they had a $400 order ahead of us. (There were 2 of us). We asked if that was even for soup? The staff is horrid. I went in for dinner with my friend and the cashier was not understanding what I was trying to ask her. When she told us we couldn't do what I was asking to (which you can) we told her she didn't understand what we were saying. She acted offended and got her manager. Her manager was just as stupid. I did not bother the staff to ask how much longer that I did see that they were busy and I did not want to be that nagging customer. But I was on my 30 minute lunch break so all I had was to get there and leave to return to my department. And I just ended up leaving without my food because when I arrived it wasn't ready for my 12:30pm pick up, still hung out for a good 15 minutes and it still wasn't ready. Also, the bagel slicer butchers the bagels and I have to work on them to make them useable.
