This one is your standard Panera Bread place--it is reasonably clean, and is decorated accordingly. The food, too, is standardized. I miss when they had a vegetarian panini (which, admittedly, was long ago), as a hot sandwich is what I really want every time I come here, but the best I can get is their one vegetarian flatbread... At least they have ingredients listed on all their baked goods online, though, which helps a ton for those of us with food allergies. I've noticed that since I last visited they've put in a small bank of touchscreens along the window side where you can input your order during times when the line is long. Useful, but the line moved pretty fast as soon as I arrived, so I didn't end up using one. Staff appears to be friendly. I got the U Pick 2 deal for a cup of creamy tomato soup and the mozarella and tomato flatbread, plus a cinnamon crunch scone, to go. The soup is good, I always love a good tomato soup and you really can't go too far wrong with that. The scone was not bad, but lacked sufficient cinnamon oomph and was a bit too far on the dry side (maybe that's the "crunch" part, though--I liked the softness of the berry one I've had before better). The flatbread... I feel like the flatbread probably works on a deli meat sandwich, where there's little to no juice coming out of anything in the actual sandwich filling portion, but when you're putting fresh tomato into it, the whole thing is just too soggy for that thin bit of bread to resemble anything more than a wet tortilla. This would be better as a toasted sandwich on thicker bread that could withstand the tomato liquid, or perhaps if made with sun-dried tomatoes, which would be less juicy. The pesto and other flavors are fine, it just becomes a flooded, tomato-juice-soaked mess in the to go container. Maybe it's better if you eat it immediately (like within 5 seconds of it coming out)? This is a brand new Panera. We've been here a handful of times already, and although they started off a little rocky, I'm glad I gave it a good go before I decided to review. The wait times were redunkulous when they first opened, but now they've got it down to an appropriate soup/salad/sandwich assembling time frame. We always get you-pick-2 with sandwich and soup. Broccoli cheddar is epic, and chicken noodle is a great alternative when I'm trying to eat healthier. I also get the half sierra turkey, and (as pain-in-the-ass as this may sound) I ask for the Bravo sauce (from the Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich) instead of the chipotle mayo. My kids love the pastries and bagels, and I'm not going to lie, I usually eat half of whatever they get. Little tip... We like to get their bagels sliced in the bread slicer so it's easier and less messy for little hands. Everything is always fresh here, and the people are very friendly (even with all my whack requests). Wish the word hadn't gotten out about this new shopping center so quickly. Parking fills up quick. I'm actually a fun of Panera Bread. Salad is tasty, and the whole app ordering/rapid pickup/table order system is very convenient. However, this store here has a lot of issues. They always made mistakes of your orders, put less stuff, put wrong stuff, and it is hard to communicate. You have to double check every time when you get your meal especially salad, otherwise you might get different salad, and you might not get what you have paid especially for extra charge food. The rapid pickup might be not rapid at all. You might spend over 30 minutes there even after the food was supposed to be ready to pick up. I had an unpleasure experience today. I ordered rapid pickup, and the food was supposed to be ready when I arrived, but nothing on the shelf. They seemed busy, so I guesses they were preparing and I just waited. However, after over 10 minutes, nothing changed, and none of the staff explained anything. More people joined in the waiting area for the Rapid pickup orders, and someone asked and was told that their orders were token by someone else so they have to wait. I double checked with one of the staff, he said he would check but then he totally forgot and continued working on what he was doing. I waited for more than 5 minutes and then asked again, he finally checked and told me they ran out of something I ordered. I guess this is the reason why they kept my food behind the desk, but why didn't they ask around in the waiting area or make a notice at first? Otherwise nobody would know what happened and people showed their patience to wait but actually wait for nothing. Also, when they wanted me to replace something because they ran out of it, shouldn't they explain more options and be patient? Even loyal customers couldn't remember everything on your menu clearly and tell you what they want to replace immediately when they are just told what they ordered ran out. Later, they gave me my order. I ordered two salad, half for each, but I found they just gave me one side. I asked, and the staff told me that was because I ordered You Pick Two and just one side for that. But what I ordered was two separate half salad, each of which comes with a side. What I ordered was NOT You Pick Two. My two separate half salad were more expensive then You Pick Two, and I knew that clearly. I told the staff, he didn't believe me and insisted that I ordered You Pick Two. Then I had to show my original order to him. He said this was weird and finally gave me my another side. Why was this weird? Shouldn't they know their own menu well? Why did they suppose two half salad must be You Pick Two? I have to go to this store because this one is the nearest one for me. On top of that, don't believe the app/email notification that your pick-up order is "ready." It's most definitely NOT ready. This has happened to me twice already: I receive the notification, head inside, and I'm told the order is actually NOT ready yet. The first time it happened, I waited a few minutes - which was fine. Yikes! This location has gone down hill over the past 6 - 8 months. There is definitely a new manager that is not very professional (or sanitary). I ordered two soufflés this morning and she didn't put gloves on and boxed them up with her bare hands - eww. I also ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches with egg white substituted - unfortunately I got regular scrambled egg and I don't like the taste, so I ended up with an eggless sandwich. These sandwiches took FOREVER - I went to Starbucks to order a drink for myself, came back and they weren't ready. Went back to Starbucks to order a drink for my husband and came back and the sandwiches still weren't ready (FYI. the new Starbucks in this plaza is 5 stars, fast friendly service, immaculate interior, extremely clean store). There was also an angry customer in the store when I came back the second time. I walked back to the sign that said "pick-up" to check on the status of my food and the manager chased me down and asked what I was doing. I felt like I'd done something wrong. I told her that I was checking on my food and she told me to wait in front and that my food would be placed in the rapid pick up cabinet (I would have appreciated being politely asked). I went BACK to Starbucks to order a breakfast sandwich for my son (let's face it, I wasn't going to order another drop of food from Panera at this point for fear that I'd wait another 20 min) when I came back my two breakfast sandwiches were not in the rapid pick up and I was too afraid to go to the pick-up section to see if the bag sitting was mine, so I waited even longer for the cashier to finish with her customer. She went to get the bag and thank goodness it was mine. I get the feeling that this isn't a pleasant place for the employees - if the manager could make me feel like this as a customer and have another angry customer, how does she make her staff feel? Either way, I will be going to Starbucks or will drive a couple miles to a different Panera in the future. I'll check reviews to see if the manager is still there before coming back. A wonderful manager and patient staff. I've been a customer of this location for the past year and half and I never had any issues with my orders. I do see other reviews mentioning about issues with mobile orders and curbside pick up, although this issue needs to be addressed, a one star or two star rating based on a single interaction really kills the energy of Yelp user if they happen to read the reviews. Be patient and take a walk inside the store. This is a well maintained store with hardworking staff. Panera is a great place to grab a quick, [mostly] healthy lunch. This particular location is pretty big and doesn't fill up, from what I've seen, as a lot of people get their food to-go. I have a personal preference for the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich (I'm vegetarian) with an apple on the side. As you'd expect from a bakery, the best part is definitely the bread. The Med Veggie sandwich uses their tomato basil bread, which is thick and soft in the middle with a slightly chewy crust. It's just a teensy bit sweet and slightly sour (like sourdough), with a subtle hint of the tomato and basil favors. Goes amazingly with the fresh veggies inside. Service is pretty fast: your food is ready about 5-10 min from the time you place your order (though, I mean, how long can it take a build a sandwich/ salad/ soup). There was also a guy standing outside with bagged orders for pick-up, so I assume they have a pretty efficient call-in order system as well. read more

Just finished my chicken chipotle panini... Well, to say that I'd "finished" is an exaggeration. 'I ate 2/5 of it' is much more accurate. And here's why: I haven't had food from panera for a good 2+ years, but that was more from inconvenience more than anything, so I at least had some warm and fuzzy feelings when I sat down to wait for my food. When it came, I was excited to eat, but was slightly turned off by the old apple that had come with my meal. So I got up, walked to the counter, and politely asked them to exchange it for a fresher one with less bruising and shriveling. When I got back to my table and picked up my panini, I realized that it had cheddar cheese in it, which I had specifically asked the cashier to remove from my order. So I got up (again) and asked them to remake it without cheese. The chef was pretty surprised since the cashier had forgotten to attach a note to the order, and after confirming with her, he apologized and told me he'd remake it. So I went back to my table (again) and began to work on my cup of chili soup, which was savory and yummy. 5 minutes later, the chef brought my replacement panini with an extra apple. After he'd apologized some more and left, I picked up my panini and voila, there it was again, the unmistakable filmy, golden substance we all know as melted cheddar cheese. By this point I was pretty speechless (I mean, c'mon, it's just a freaking panini), but in the end we brought it back up... again... and returned the second apple because one was enough. When it finally came back, the kitchen staff had increased their compensation from one apple to an apple AND an extra half of the sandwich, on the house, which was nice of them... I guess. The apologetic nature of the staff would have been enough to negate the need for this post, if the chicken in this third panini had not turned out to be completely cold. But it was. And here it is. While I think panera as a chain is fine, I definitely don't recommend going to this particular location if you a) need a customized order or 2) don't have 30 minutes to waste on a failed sandwich. On a scale of 1-5, I'd give this location a 4 for customer service (at least in terms of their attitude), a 2.5 for food quality, a 1 for attention to detail and a -5 for communication between themselves and with their customers. Now, I'm going to go home and eat a pb sandwich and the two apples that they gave me instead. Bon appetite. read more
