I love Panera and have visited them - literally - all across the country. The staff here have been incredible. I accidentally ordered to the wrong Panera via the app, and they were able to work it out and send it to the location I really wanted (this one). No attitudes and everyone is always super friendly. Boooooo. When PB opened and soon after I would have given 5 stars. 2 of us went this evening ~5. The place was a wreck. All tables were sticky, dirty, & crumbs everywhere. Floors were awful. Bathrooms clearly had not been checked. Very few customers there. I ordered citrus chicken salad. When it came, I looked all over....no chicken in the chicken salad. I took it to the server, who went to the cook, got a cup of chicken and said, "Here"! I know it's not a customer service sort of place but, come on. I've been a patron of Panera Bread in several locations within California & Washington. So I was delighted to find the Panera's in Tulalip nearby Cabela's and the Casino. Unfortunately, my experience in this particular location was HORRIBLE!!! After placing my order in the Kiosk (supposedly for 'faster' service), I went to a table with my 'order unit' and began waiting for my order to come. There were very few customers in the restaurant at this time, so after over 10 minutes waiting for a simple slice of coffee cake, I approached the window that faces the food prep area. There were 2 employees that I'm sure saw me there but pretended to not see me. After a minute, I found it necessary to speak 'Hello' out into the area, not shouting but loud enough to be heard. At this point, the person prepping orders turned and I then asked 'How much longer for this order & holding up my order # plaque for her to see'. Her response to me was "I don't have that order #". On the their screen facing me, I could see my order# on the screen in Red with a 14min wait time posted on it. So, I stated to her that my order was on the screen?? She then seemed to show some irritation and then Tersely asked "What did you order?". At this point, I also became frustrated and stated back to her "You should have my order in your system since I do see it on the customer screen here". I guess this irritated her further, and she then Yelled (in my opinion), "I do not have that order on my side sir". In the same tone as she spoke that to me, I replied 'Its a slice of coffee cake!'. She then again in a highly irritated way stated, "Sir do you want a refund then?", and I replied in kind, 'No, I'd just like to get what I ordered, now over 15min ago'. At this point, they are now serving orders that were made after mine, making me even more frustrated with the situation. The food prep person the Yelled to me, "OK, I'll get it or you sir". and I relied 'Finally, that would be nice'. About a minute later, a man appeared in front of me and gave me a dirty look, so I just stared back at him. He then leaned toward me on the customer counter stated, "Is there something I can do for you?". I replied, 'I'm still waiting for my order'. He then stated something to the effect, "Well were working on it and there's not need for you to be treating my people so harshly". I replied back, 'I am just trying to get what I ordered and if your people speak harshly to me as a customer, then I will return the favor'. He then stated to me, "We are out of the coffee cake, is there something else I can do for you or did you want a refund?" I was so disgusted at this point, I just turned and left the place. Unbelievable experience for having has so many other pleasant experiences with Panera's Bread at other locations. read more

I love Panera normally but this one is awful! They are always out of everything and the customer service is really poor! Last time I went in I asked for soup with a baguette and was told that the only bread I could have was a slice of white bread! If I wanted a slice of white bread I could have stayed at home! What was worse is that the staff was really rude about it. Went for breakfast another time and was told they only had one type of bagel and no cream cheese. It's really not worth the drive to go there and find out they have nothing so I probably won't be visiting this location again anytime soon unless they make some serious changes! read more

Nothing outstanding about this location. Compared to other locations like everett or alderwood it is most definitely the dirtiest.

We stop here once a season. They always run out of my favorite ham and cheese souffles. I ordered ahead this time and they saved one for me. I bought a pecan twist for the afternoon. It had exactly 2 pecans top, and none inside. Very disappointing. read more

I brought the family to Panera for lunch yesterday. This was my first time dining at Panera in over 10 years and my wifes first time. The restaurant was super clean when we walked in. I had the BLT Turkey Avocado sandwich which tasted very fresh and delicious. My wife ordered the Caesar salad with the Broccoli and chese soup. She said the salad was also fresh and tasty and the soup was to die for delicious. We had a few desserts which were also fresh and awesome. The cashier Alexis was very friendly and helpful. So I've always liked panera bread but this one was pretty bad...first and foremost we should've known the prices would be crazy when we walked in. This place looks brand new and seems like a swanky place for a quick sandwich...yeah 35 bucks for a couple of sandwiches and drinks was just stupid! They charge you to look at the menu apparently. I only got the half sandwich and it was just thrown on the plate. Plus the bread was so tough I had to deconstruct it just to eat it. But the plates were pretty to look at...all in all this panera bread was way overpriced and just sucked for what you get. Guess we should've gone to RAM down the street at least there you kniw you'll be getting a great meal for the price. read more

We came in, ordered, sat down and began to eat. A family came in with a child (looked about 3 yrs old) who SCREAMED at least once a minute (as in being injured volume). The staff said nothing. At the end of our meal, our server advised that they had been in this morning (same screaming) and had come back for dinner. I told them I didn't appreciate allowing that type of patron into the restaurant. She smiled weakly - clearly she was NOT the manager. When I got home, I called Panera and was advised "We can't do anything about a customer with a screaming child." The customer service agent seemed unmoved when I ended with "Well, then I won't be your customer anymore because I want to eat my meal in peace." I won't tolerate such corporate nonsense. Guess I'll go back to eating at Trail's End Tap Room in Snohomish (better food...though a bit more expensive). read more

I don't usually take the time to write reviews but this time I feel inclined to share my unpleasant experiences. My first visit to this much anticipated new location (pretty close to home) was mid week in the early afternoon on my day off with 1 toddler in tow. Not surprisingly it was pretty crowded. Upon walking in it seemed pleasant, though not nearly as inviting as many other locations. The line at the counter was pretty long so I decided to give the tablet ordering a try. I didn't have any problems, but I absolutely hated it! Because they are placed right inside the door, I was not greeted by a live person, and never even got close to the pastry's... The whole thing was confusing. It wasn't clear if you should sit at a table or wait by the window where the food comes out of the kitchen. I chose to find a seat, but it didn't appear that I was the only one confused. The seating arrangement is also very unpleasant. It seemed quite small, or maybe it was the amount of people there at that time. There are very few stand alone tables, so your only other option is to sit up close and personal with complete strangers at one or the other long seating sections. To top it off, I ordered my favorite Asiago Steak Sandwich which was sub par. My second encounter with this location was again at lunchtime, early afternoon. A busy Monday at work and I was not going to be able to take a lunch break, so coworker offered to pick up takeout for me. Even though my food wasn't great the time before I decided to again order my favorite - Asiago Steak Sandwich. Finally got a moment to eat and sat down at my office to a steak sandwich WITH NO MEAT! Seriously?!? We called and spoke with a manager who was pleasant and offered to mail a voucher... The voucher arrived for a whopping $6. Not even enough to cover the cost of the Sandwich!!! Three strikes you're out Panera!!! Save you money folks. I am not yet writing off all Panera locations, but I am definitely done with this one! read more

We usually like Panera....but this location needs some help. Been there twice & they have yet to get the order right. Their inventory must be overflowing with the items they forget to put in the drive up orders...chips, breads, etc....Today we tried to pay with 500 dollar rewards made easier prepaid mastercard that our mortgage co. gave to us as a gift for refinancing. The cashier yells out DECLINED!!! I told her that can't be as we've only used it once @ a steakhouse that was on the list of places that accept this. She tried it again & yells out DECLINED!!! So I paid cash, not a problem. I went home & called the back of this Performance Plus award card & they looked it up. Although Panera IS INDEED listed on the many places you can go, THIS LOCATION has opted out! Why wasn't the cashier properly trained & just tell us we don't accept this at this time? I pulled into the drive through, ordered and was waiting in line when I realized I had my purse but no wallet. I continued to wait in line until I made it to the front to inform the drive through worker I had to cancel my order because I forgot my wallet. She gave me my food anyway and said "it happens, the meal is on us". Great customer service! read more

Driving from Bellingham, my daughter and I didn't have much time for food, but we were starving. Panera is usually pretty quick, so we stopped in Tulalip and used their quick line self order. Our name came up on the order ready part of the board so I told my daughter to pick it up while I used the restroom. When I came out, my daughter didn't have the food. She said the waitress had given it to someone else. I mentioned it to the waitress, and in a patronizing tone she showed how our name would be in the first column and when it was ready it would move to the second column. In a patronizing tone I said we were already in the first and second column and when she gave our order to the wrong person, our name disappeared... Then she continued in a condescending manner and said she didn't give our order away, and that the man had said it was his order and ours was on the way... I asked her to verify that or order was still coming, and she came back and said there was a problem with the system and our order was on the way. I told her there wasn't a problem with the system, that she had given our order to the wrong person. She refused to admit this, and went back to the order window to deliver the next order. She called the guys name a couple times, when I finally said, 'he's not coming, you already gave him our order!' THEN she disappeared! After another 10 minutes I asked another waitress (Jacky) to cancel our order because we were already going to be late. (Over 25 minutes now) She actually apologized and said the order was very close. We did wait, but I ended up throwing the food away because I could only envision the other girl going into the kitchen to tamper with our food. Thanks to Jacky, we did split the free scone. Don't know the other girls name, but she ruined Panera for me. read more

I been to a couple off these Panera Bread all around the states. This just opened not to long ago and they are still trying to get their act together. They have the kiosks for you to place your order avoid the line. Once we placed the order it took a long time to get the order. The place was dirty, tables were not being cleaned not enough employees on the floor to handle everything. One poor girl was doing her best to keep up with everything, but she was running back and forth. Saw customers clean tables so they could sit. Two managers on duty both are behind the counter not managing the floor. Food came out no spoon for the soup. Soup was warm not hot. Pecan roll was dry and no taste. People next to us complained about not having enough salad dressing for their salad.. This place needs help... read more

I vistited panera yesterday for the first time (never have been to any panera before.) I was a bit overwhelmed, confused, but impressed by the options available upon walking in the door. Different ways to order and all the options of items to order! I didn't know if I was suppose to leave my plates at the table or clear it myself, I saw a customer go into an area behind a wall and leave off his dishes so I cleared mine when I was finished. I went back there today with my husband. The manager was there and completely open to listening to some of our concerns/suggestions. One of which....napkins?? There is only one spot where you can retrieve your own napkins and they were hiding (at least from me!) Also, the microwave is in a really weird spot, also hard to find. If you want silverware make sure you ask cashier for it because it's not put out for self serve. I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich, sweet treat and coffee the quality was great and price was reasonable. I also bought the asiago cheese and the sourdough breads sliced to order, both delicious. I asked them if they made the dough there, they don't - they get it delivered fresh and bake it there. someone else mentioned the full length bench, I didn't like that either, I pinched my finger between the bench and the wall =( The place was clean. The employees while eating in the main area while on break should be more respectful and keep their feet off the chairs. =) Love that they donate unpurchased items. Make sure you sign up for a rewards card! I think it's a great option for breakfast lunch or dinner, I am looking forward to trying soups and salads and other yummy looking menu items. read more

I'm a fan of panera bread and we visit panera bread stores in Bellevue regularly. This is the first time we visit this store and compared to the ones in Bellevue it is much better. The décor is nicer and the store is much cleaner. They have the self serve kiosks where i can place my order using the tablets and customize my orders. The service is good and the servers are doing a good job delivering the food and keeping the place clean. The food is good but that's something that's hard to screw up since the recipes are standard. (The Bellevue stores managed to screw the food up a few times for me) read more

Found a disgusting black hair in my salad. We had ordered to go and found the hair once we got home. We had to drive back to Panera Bread to return the salad and only received a refund for the salad. Not going to this location again. It was a disappointment from the day it opened - dark and gloomy inside with a bench seat that was broken the first week. But I live nearby and love the Panera in Everett so kept trying this one. The customer service has been continually below par. Last week's sandwich at the drive-thru had lettuce that was so wet the bread was soggy when I got home ten minutes later and it was made on a small piece of bread from near the heel - very chewy where it wasn't wet. Today I stopped in and there was just one young man at the till. Employees kept walking by a looking at us poor slobs in line like we were unwelcome. I understand they must have been on break but there is no need to look at customers like they are a nuisance and audibly sighing. That was the last straw. I'll drive to Everett. read more

Once was more than enough. Expensive for the salad portion sizes w/a hunk of bread w/out any butter. Chinese chicken salad, small, mini dash of odd dressing, & greens topped w/ chunks of O.K. chicken just no edible size slabs that needed cutting. Cobb salad, small & again dab of dressing, a whole hard boiled egg, no bacon or any of the other usual ingredients. These were full size order salads no the 1/2 size sr. Never ever again!
