That's how much chicken salad is on a 1/2 sandwich. It's literally less than 3 soup spoons full. Ridiculous.

The only real positive is the cashier at the front Josey. She was friendly. She gets the stars. I ordered 1/2 Napa chicken salad sandwich and cup of 10 vegetable soup. It took 22 minutes to get buzzed for my meal. The soup was fine. Plain veggie soup...nothing noteworthy. The sandwich was a complete disappointment. There was an unusually large amount of lettuce, two thin tomato slices and a teeny tiny amount of chicken salad. Seriously....the amount of chicken salad filled the small soup spoon 2 & 1/4 times. $5 for that small amount of meat. So disappointing. It was basically a lettuce sandwich. I asked about and was told it's a premeasured scoop for the chicken salad. So they're basically screwing over everyone who orders this 1/2 sandwich. I don't expect a 1/2 pound of meat but enough to spread a layer across the bread at a minimum is expected. Over $12 for a lettuce sandwich, vegetable soup and a tea. Hmmmm...wonder why the Panera in my town closed down. Lucky this one is in a college town....lots of students studying here.

Horrible Horrible WAIT, what is up with the service and kitchen, please get your act together. Ordered 3 sandwiches to go and waited over 30 minutes. I know that they have a drive thru, hopefully they are faster than what we experienced inside. When we got to the register to order they said there were no tables available and were Turkey and Bacon Sandwich was good size with a generous amount if turkey meat. If I was reviewing this on service it would kill them with a zero, although the food was good and generous. I know that they got a major rush the Sunday before Baylor started and after church so I can give some slack.

I ordered a grilled cheese and a bread bowl; I received a half cup of soup and a grilled cheese that wasn't even cooked. Absolutely disgusting.

Greek salad with grilled chicken, a little piece of whole wheat bread and hibiscus iced tea (Agua de Jamaica wanna be)...all was good!

I have been to several Panera locations and this one has by far the best service and the cleanest dining area. I liked it!

Management at this panera is brutal. She argues with everyone when she sits in the drive thru window.

Food is great but they take forever to get you the food. Especially in the drive through... I've waited 10 mins plus multiple times.

Found this gem on Yelp and decided to give it a try after reading the menu and reviews. SO glad we…read moredid! It's off the beaten path which is nice because we were able to find parking. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and directed to choose a table of our preference. The waitress quickly came over and grabbed our drink order while we looked at the menu. We placed our order and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions. She also informed us they work as a team so we can stop anyone when/if we need something. We started with the "Burning Bush" appetizer (crispy Brussel sprouts w/ lemon garlic aioli). YUM! They had just the right bite to them, and the glaze on them paired with the aioli was delicious! For our entrees we had the Golden Calf Burger w/ sweet potato fries and sriracha aioli and The Weight of Glory Sandwich w/ broccoli slaw. They were both incredibly flavorful and fresh! You can tell they locally source their ingredients and prepare them onsite. The portions are also plentiful, and we left with a takeout box. To round off lunch we tried the special mousse on the specials board (coffee flavored cheesecake mousse). It was so delightful we dug in before I could snap a pic. Just enough coffee flavor paired with chocolate sauce (not hersheys ). The big windows allow for a lot of natural light and lends to a welcoming and warm environment. We will for sure be back and bring others!

I especially enjoyed how the herbed goat cheese mixed with the lemon aioli (aioli is garlic mayo so the garlic is redundant in the menu) and beef patty. That combo was deadly to me, oof Some nice cold coleslaw to compliment the hot burger was a nice mix. I still haven't forgotten how heavy their tomato soup is! So packed with flavor omg. Friendly + quick staff as always and gorgeous wooden seating.

Drink: I ordered a large peach and mango fruit tea (no ice,…read more25% sweetness). The flavor itself could've been great, but the sweetness level was shockingly high, more like 100%. If it was made incorrectly, that's fine, but just offer to remake it. It's a $7 drink; the cost to fix it is minimal, and customers remember when you take the time to make something right. Because I requested no ice, the drink also wasn't filled to the top, which felt dismissive considering it was a full-priced order. Unfortunately I cannot drink super cold drinks or food. Seems silly to let a customer walk away with 2 oz shy of a full drink because you usually put ice Service: The staff member was polite when I walked in and even suggested one of their specialty drinks, which I appreciated. However, after I explained that I wanted a simple peach and mango tea and didn't want the specialty item that included strawberry and jellies, she continued to try to steer me toward her suggestion -- saying, "I think you'll like this better." I value recommendations, but once a customer has clearly declined, it's important to respect their preference. After receiving the drink, I realized how overly sweet it was and politely asked if it was truly 25%. I was told it might be because the boba had honey, but having visited hundreds of boba tea places, that alone wouldn't cause such a strong sweetness. I mentioned that I'm pregnant and watching my sugar intake, an opportunity to show care, yet there was no offer to adjust or remake it. When I politely set the drink down and left, there was no follow-up or acknowledgment. I didn't ask for a refund; I simply walked away. If keeping that one cup meant more than keeping a customer, that says something about priorities. Ambiance: Poppa Bear has a cozy café setup with Wi-Fi and a warm, casual vibe. When I visited, a few college students were working quietly on laptops. It's the kind of space that could easily become a community favorite. However, the experience felt like the team was more focused on avoiding loss than creating loyalty. In business, especially hospitality, a small margin for remakes or mistakes is simply part of good operations and it pays back tenfold in customer trust. Overall: Poppa Bear has real potential. The drinks and environment are inviting, but consistent service and responsiveness will determine its long-term success. A little attentiveness and flexibility go a long way in building loyal customers.
