It might be trendy, but the food is GROSS and over priced!! I have no idea how this chain/franchise exists. But then, so does Starbuck's.

Happy hour, served 2:00 - 5:00, Monday through Friday, gives you a chance to sample a variety of beers, seltzers, cocktails and Jameson whiskey soaked cherries. For entertainment there is a pool table, darts, video gambling and pull tabs. For convenience, there is a place out back with a designated smoking area. The menu has appetizers, cold sandwiches, kids meals, paninis, pizza, salads and hoagies. Several of the dips/sauces are homemade, and I found the dip served with the chips was especially good. It's the creation of the owners mother, and has a lovely whipped texture with garlic and onion flavor. I had the Rasta Roots salad, and my husband had the Simply Tuna sandwich. The salad was good, with the grilled chicken being served shredded instead of in strips. The jerk ranch had a little kick at the end, and was served on the side. The sandwich was nicely grilled, and the tuna salad was truly "touched with mayonnaise" so the tuna flavor stood out and not the dressing. Service was a little slow, but since we weren't in a huge rush it wasn't an issue. This is a nice, laid back spot with a beautiful brick and wood interior, and plenty of room at the U-shaped bar to socialize and chill.

Such a cute spot near downtown West Bend for brunch, lunch or coffee!…read more I loved the inviting and warm atmosphere with lots of live plants! We stopped in on a Saturday for brunch and had a wonderful experience. You order/pay at the counter and staff brings you your food/beverages. I spilt the French toast and the crab cake Benedict with my husband and both were delicious! We had bloody Mary's, which are very vegetable forward with their own pickled veggies. There was an error on my meal and the staff were super quick to correct and offer a bakery item on the house, which was so nice and refreshing to see great hospitality without prompt. We ended up ordering dessert afterwards and WOW you must get the crème brûlée with raspberry! I've never had anything like it. SO SO good! They have a variety of seating options inside and some dining tables outside as well. Note as of this post they are not open on Sundays.

The location is in/near an apartment complex so there is some street parking out front, but also some lot parking not too far away. The space itself is cute, with a few small and a few larger tables. We had a pretty sizeable party of 7, and we comfortably fit at the bigger table. Counter service style with indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is always friendly and accommodating to our needs! They have a simple, vegetable forward menu that seems to rotate and focus on seasonal offerings. I had their bloody Mary and eggs Benedict. The bloody Mary was good, yet only had vegetables as accompaniments...I would have loved a meat stick and some cheese. The eggs benedict was yummy, and the side of fruit helped lighten up the meal. The only downside is that they don't have an espresso machine, so no lattes :( Highly recommend if you're looking for a light meal and enjoy a vegetable forward approach!

Both my older son and I thought this sounded amazing so we stopped in on a Friday night to try it. We both got fries for our side. The burger was great as expected. Breading and deep frying the lasagna helped prevent it from being a mess and they added enough marinara to give it flavor without overpowering anything. The fries were lightly salted, but were otherwise just boring, plain potato. Apparently 6pm on a Friday is a horrible time to visit Brazen Head Pub if you want to be seated in a reasonable timeframe. My son and I stood there for at least 20 minutes watching a table that was done eating and the gentleman and his credit card in hand, ready to pay if someone would ever stop and give him his bill. While this was going on, another couple at the bar finished their food and sat there for at least 10 minutes waiting for their check. It's almost as if the employees had no desire to turnover tables even with a line at the door including and behind us. There were three people bartending/waiting tables so they had plenty of coverage given the smaller size of the place. At one point, closer to the end of our meal, one of the bartenders looked at my son and I and asked "are you guys good?" as he was literally walking away from us and I was holding up an empty soda glass to show him I'd like a refill. Oddly, he gave me a thumbs up and kept going. I don't even know what to make of that other than poor service. The music that was playing was excessively loud. If it was a live band, I'd get it, that's part of the show and I wouldn't complain. For random music on speakers to drown out all conversations unless you're yelling, that's dumb.

And let me just say, if you like a good burger this (may be) the place for you. It's located on Main Street in West Bend. This area has gone through a real renaissance. The fixed up the street and sidewalks, have angled parking, and the lighting a nice. It's a real treat to be able to walk in this area of small shops and businesses. No stripmalls or big box stores. Very nice city planning! Came with a couple of friends, around 11:30. The Brazen Head Pub is one of many bars and restaurants in this area. This pub is pretty typical layout. It's long and narrow, a little dark (lighting and wood), has a long bar, and then a few high top tables. There is one larger table towards the rear that holds 6 people. Since there were 3 of us, we grabbed a high-top and stole a chair from the next table. (we had 4 people, not sure what we would have done). There was only one person (John) running all the table and managing the bar, and a couple of people in the small kitchen. John (our server) got to us after a short wait. Got our drinks and order placed right away. We ordered some Cheese Nuggets (white cheddar curds) and 3 different burgers. You can either "build your own" or order the standard "Brazen Head Beer Cheese Burger". The curds came out almost instantly. They were hot, with a side of ranch. They were good (not great, a little too much breading for my tastes). We waited a bit for the biggers, but they ended up being worth the wait. All were made perfectly to order, hot, lots of flavor, and very good portions. The Brazen Head Burger was tall, but manageable. The different elements were distinct and complementary. The cheese sauce had a big of a tang. The fries were okay, but could have been hotter. While we were there, the place filled up. Lots of other small groups, some at the long bar. With the additional people it got to be pretty noisy, to the point that it was hard to have a conversation. It didn't help that there was a speaker, right over the tables, with loud music. With only one person running all the tables, after our food came out, it was difficult to get our servers attention. Extra napkins and getting our check was a challenge. The experience was mixed. Definitely a place to get an amazing burger, cooked perfectly to order. However, the noise and the service (due to their popularity) was a bit lacking. I wish them luck as they adjust to their new popularity.

We sat at the bar, and the bartender was super friendly. The space has a cozy feel, and they also have a little patio in the back if you want to sit outside when the weather is nice. Their specials were great too, and I loved that you can buy a bottle of wine to go. Even better, they keep the white wines cold, which is such a thoughtful touch. We both tried the salad special. I added chicken to mine, and my friend added salmon. I probably should have gone with the salmon because hers was cooked really nicely, while my chicken was a little on the dry side. That said, the salad itself was fresh, and the fruit on it tasted really good. They also had a nice beer selection with solid options on tap, so it seems like a good place whether you're stopping in for lunch, a drink, or something casual after work. Overall, friendly service, quick food, and a cute little spot I'd come back to.

We were seated right away on the second floor at a regular table. There are also some high-tops that were being used for parties of two. Our waitress did a great job getting us waters, menus, and our first drink order. She also let us know what the weekend specials were. We started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip, which was very good. It came with a bunch of pieces of grilled sourdough bread, which complemented the dip nicely. Our drinks were good, though I felt the Golden Hour Paloma was a little underwhelming. For entrées, we ordered the Grilled Salmon, the Orville Salad (with shrimp), the Filet Mignon, and I had the special, "Inferno" -- a grilled tenderloin filet on top of a deep-fried portabella mushroom, served on spinach with a touch of sriracha. While waiting, the server came over to update and apologize for the delay. I only mention this because I really didn't think the wait was unusually long (but I appreciated their attentiveness). After a few more minutes, our food arrived, and it was excellent -- served at good temperatures, with terrific flavors and generous portions. The special (filet on mushroom and spinach) was excellent. The filet was ordered medium rare but came out closer to medium; still, it was very good. The fried mushroom was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauces were an excellent complement and tied everything together. I would definitely order that again. The noise level was good overall, though there were moments -- when seating new tables or during the ordering process -- when it got VERY loud. I wouldn't have wanted that to last the whole time. Throughout the evening, we were well attended to. Friendly, efficient service with great follow-through (thanks, Rachel). The Orville goes on the "Must Come Back To" list. :)

The bartenders are very attentive and consistent in their weak alcohol pours. Staff- very well trained and personable. The only significant fault is the staff asks at least 5 times during our meal "how is whatever we are eating?" It is annoying and they are consistently interrupting conversation. You can barely take the last bite before they are asking if you are done and can they clear? Definitely makes it difficult to "enjoy" the great food and atmosphere. We eat there almost every week because of the food BUT every time they ask us if we have been there before... we recognize all of them by name but few remember us. Adore the bread and steaks:) Recommendation: Tell the staff to slow down a little ....create the feeling of being welcome instead of checking in so often. It feels chaotic ...
