Go to Panera when I was part of the unlimited sip club. I only came here to pick up and go. But if I ever ordered any food and it would be ready by the time I arrive so like 10-15 minutes. I didn't have much interaction with the staff, but it is always clean and there are always some individuals sitting in. There's also seats outside if you want to sit in the sun while having your lunch or morning coffee. I don't visit much anymore, as I am no longer participating in the unlimited sip club. I really, really like that they provide listed ingredients for their food. I have a dairy allergy and have a hard time finding new, and allergy friendly meals. The place was really clean. It felt like a classy New York coffee shop. I got 10 vegetable soup in a bread bowl with a green smoothie. My wife got cheddar broccoli Mac n cheese in a bread bowl. My soup was ok. I don't know what it is about this Panera but it's always a hit or miss when I come here and I really only come here with a certain friend because when she wants to eat cheap she wants to go here. Pros: The atmosphere lends itself to you lounging around. Some people go there to work and stay all day. The ingredients are fresh and seasonal. And the baguettes are chewy. Cons: Ordering kiosks can be great until their not. The ones at Panera are more complicated than they should be. On my last visit my friend and I tried to complete our order three times only to get to the end and find nothing but a beverage there. We wound up going to the cashier instead but my friends order still was not right when it arrived. She asked for the Modern Greek but got the Regular Greek. Sometimes people go to far with their lounging. It's still a restaurant not your living room. The management should enforce some type of etiquette. I was very pleasantly surprised with lunch at Panera today. I sprang for their Lobster Roll, which was outstanding! Certainly not cheap, but bursting with fresh and tasty lobster meat, and a minimum of mayo, with a little lettuce, on a very fresh roll. Maybe that is $10 at a roadstand in Kennebunkport, Maine, but not in Wilmington, Delaware. Hmmm... I placed an order w the app for rapid pick up. Upon arriving to the restaurant I noticed trash all over by the front door (how inviting) and a gaggle of customers waiting for food. A rep I assume some one of authority was just standing watching the others prepare food. I am all about some Panera Bread, but this has to be the worst location I've ever been to. The front area is poorly designed. They put tablets up so you can self-order, but it blocks where the lines go to the register. So people are trying to stand in line to order, but wrapping around the stations and others are trying to get through the line to the stations. It's a big cluster. The staff member standing in the door trying to direct you to use the tablets was incredibly rude. She made it very obvious she did not want to be there. The tables in the place were all dirty. We ended up wiping one off ourselves because we couldn't find a clean one. The containers of used plates/utensils were full and nobody was taking care of them. The food took forever to come out. I know the soup is already made, so that shouldn't have taken so long. My side was incorrect but I didn't bother going up to say anything because I didn't want to wait for someone to acknowledge me or for someone to then give me an attitude. It's a good location if you are trying to meet up with someone, but expect it to not be a quick experience. It might be easier/quicker if you ordered ahead and just picked it up then sat down somewhere inside. read more

I've had food from this restaurant several times before and it was always good and fresh but today was a different story. I ordered the Spicy Thai salad. They have never messed an order up and I've been going here for about a year and a half. The rapid pick up is amazing with an amazing app and high-quality food. One thing I really don't like about this location is parking is terrible. During the lunchtime rush, the entire section at the north end, where Panera Bread is located, gets full and you may even have a problem finding parking in the next farther section too. This strip mall really doesn't have enough parking spaces in periods of time when all the mall stores are busy. This Panera location is a typical Panera Bread, which is to say I haven't actually had anything outstanding from here. However, soup in a bread bowl is decent comfort food and at least part of their menu is devoted to trying new flavors. Prices are a tad on the high side for what you get though. On the plus side, I've never had problems with the service here and they always handle any coupons or deals I bring in efficiently. Panera offers free WiFi, although it's not very fast and not really meant for heavy work. But it'll do fine for Twitter and for posting some low-res food photos. read more

I hadn't been here in a few years and now I remember why. A friend and I had lunch there today. The chicken salad sandwich was all lettuce and tomato and almost no chicken. Bread was fresh but crust really hard to bite into. My friend had one of the bowl offerings and could barely eat it due to poor quality of the ingredients. The finishing touch was no toilet paper or paper towels in the ladies room. If that wasn't enough when we went to dispose of our uneaten food and dishes, the bin was so overloaded with dirty dishes we had to move them to dispose of our stuff. This isn't the first time I have visited this location, but today they struck out. First, they backordered our meal, literally holding up a grilled cheese sandwich while 12 to 14 orders went through. Seriously, a grilled cheese. I finally had to ask. Strike one. Then, when we got our grill cheese, they rushed it so much that the cheese wasn't melted and the bread barely singed. Oddly impressed by (this) Panera. My Modern Greek Salad with Quinoa was large and fresh. There was a large dining area, which could have passed for the dining room of a chain with table service. My group of three received our food quickly, and had pleasant encounters with the staff. When I got back to work and opened up my salad, I had to throw the entire $8 meal away. Not only was my whole salad not even half way full, but there was chicken in it. I'd like to give a shout out to Panera for great service. Last week, I accidently placed an online order for pick-up. When I arrived and didn't see my order, I checked my confirmation email and realized that I had selected the wrong Wilmington, DE Panera and would need to go to the correct one to pick up my order. A very astute manager realized my dilemma and without asking offered to call the other Panera to cancel my order and to fulfill my order while I waited. It took only 5 minutes for me to get my order.
