This is hands down the worst Panera Bread I've ever been to. My sister and I ordered on the kiosk and there were no cups to take for drinks or pagers so we knew when our food was done. When we finally found our food, my sandwich wasn't there and took an extra ten minutes to wait for. Also, they didn't have either of the desserts we ordered. Overall a terrible experience. read more

So this place sells salads for close to $10.00,,,,, and the first quarter inch of the salad on top is green leafy nice looking salad with a cut avocado, underneath there is all brown stems just to fill the bottom up, One time I pulled out all the stems and there was over 30 pieces of Romain stems with no leaves on them, & were brown & bruised,,,, you probably could get a better quality salad at McDonald's read more

Yes it's a chain and yes it's new but the hiccups that occurred with my lunch pick up are inexcusable . I called ahead to make for what I thought would be speedy service . Upon arrival to the pick up counter no one greeted me or even looked in my direction . Finally a manger comes over to inform me that they actually did not have a specific soup that I ordered (I specifically asked the girl who took my phone order if they had that soup today and she said yes) she also took my number so why I wasn't called to be made aware that the soup was unavailable is beyond me. I check out and check the rest of my bag to find that items are wrong ! No chips double bread the list goes on and on ! I tried not to be too bitchy about it but seriously how hard is it to write down and order /key it in / prepare it correctly and check to make sure it's right?! The only thing that will bring me back to this panera is the coupons I got in the mail the other day . Well, yes, Panera is a cruel place to be for someone who can't eat gluten. But it's a nice space to hang out, study, whatever. Gluten-free options include tomato soup (w/o croutons) and many of the salads, so it is actually possible to eat here. As soon as they hear the magic word "allergy," they are very understanding about having the food prep people change gloves and use separate utensils for the salad. Pretty awesome! Comfy and plentiful seating, the faux fireplaces are always a nice cozy touch, but the muzak is awwwwwfullllllll. Maybe that's the secret weapon to make sure you don't stay there for 5 hours. read more

This Panera Chain is severely inconsistent. I recently got the turkey chili and while it was good, it was cold. I've gotten other hot items (in the past) from here that were cold too. The staff really doesn't seem to care either. The bathroom was messy and the floor was pretty dirty. Overall, I probably won't come back to this Panera unless I'm really craving it (Panera). I do have to say though, out of the ones in Wilmington, DE, this one probably is the best. read more

My mother who is gluten free really likes getting the salad with a scoop of tuna and looks forward to it when I get it for her. Service was fast and friendly when I got her the salad Wednesday. I always find the service fast, friendly and accommodating. Parking can be difficult in the shopping center. I think the location provides and very comfortable and homey environment. read more

We ordered two pastries which were not placed in our take out bag. My partner really wanted a chocolate chip cookie. We came all the way from NJ to visit a state park in DE. We were so disappointed when we got to the park. I called the manager and he was unable to locate my order based on the name I gave. He was also unable to backtrack orders to 30 min before (which is when we were at their store). Since we were insde the park walking and i didnt have the credit card on me, I had to wait to get back to my car and call a second time to get a refund. The manager, Michael, made sure to blame me for having to call a second time -- its not their fault that they couldnt locate an order by my name or by looking at the orders placed 30 min prior. We really wanted the pastries and were upset and disappointed at the park. I told the manager we should receive some sort of future credit or discount but he flat out refused. Oh, and when i called the second time I was put on hold as he was busy with someone else. Horrible customer service and organization. I would NOT go there again. I asked the cashier whats in the mediteranean bowl and she had no clue. read more

Great place to eat on the go or have sunday brunch. Food is always delicious and variety of pastries. breads and menu items keep me trying something different all the time. the two times i have been here have been sub-par, at best. upon walking in, both times, i stood at the registers (only customer ordering) and have stood there for 15-20 seconds before the cashiers decide to end their conversation and take my order. through the ordering process, they are pleasant enough, and are very passionate about making sure i know everything about the my-panera card. thanks, guys. however, both times my orders have been incorrect. the first time was a chicken ceasar salad, with no chicken...i had taken it to-go, only to get back home and realize the mistake. "no worries," i thought, it happens. this past friday, 10-10, i ordered a u-pick-2, with a bread bowl. the food was prepared quickly, but the soup was in a regular bowl. i brought this to the cook's attention, and she said, "it didn't say a bread bowl on the ticket." i looked at the ticket, saw "BB" and pointed that out to her, to which she said negatively, "oh, i guess i can't read then." she then gave me the bread bowl beside the actual bowl and told me to have a nice day. that's just unnecessary. first off, why in the world should i be argued with over something i ordered? it's a bread bowl...not even that big of a deal to argue about, but since i was the customer, and was upcharged for it, i think i should get it... second, where is the customer service? when i go to a fast food restaurant and pay $12 for a meal, i don't expect to get an attitude. i debated about whether it was worth it or not for me to write this review, because it's fast food and i don't really care either way (if you want to hate your job and show it, then by all means...) but hopefully it'll catch the attention of someone in charge. read more

I frequent Panera Bread restaurants for a quick lunch from time to time, and find the food to be pretty good except at this one. The best advice I can give you is STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE until they begin to appreciate your business. The portions at this Panera bread are half the size should be. We ordered a salmon salad, and a chicken sandwich. The bowl of salad was half full and there wasn't enough chicken salad on my sandwich to feed a toddler! I brought this issue to the managers attention and was told they follow stricken portions. The fact that the Panera, 2 miles down the street, serves appropriate portions and always had a line out the door was lost on this manager. Her comment was " their food cost is too high" ! read more

TBH.... I have not been to many different Panera Bread's in awhile. Just this one. Overall it is not too bad. The staff are pleasant for the most part. Except for the occasional people who seem like they really don't want to be there. I can't say the food is absolutely amazing, however, I typically only order some of their soups and their Frontiega Chicken penini. Those I like. The service is weird sometimes. Sometimes it is very quick and responsive other times it can be pretty slow. And this is regardless if they are busy or not. The overall environment is very nice though. Once you get your food and sit and relax it's comfortable and pleasant. I used one of their tablets once to order to go and somehow they got it wrong( good thing I checked before I left) and they quickly made the correct order and let me keep the sandwich they gave me by mistake so that's good. Overall I really don't see much wrong with the place and I enjoy most of their food. What can I say? It's Wilmington. Beggars can't be choosers. read more

Panera is just Panera. It's a very mediocre chain place that is way overpriced for the quality of food that they give you. A sandwich you order will come one small slice of meat, one slice of cheese, and one slice of lettuce, etc.... The soups taste ok if you are into soups that arrive from a truck in big buckets. The bagels have absolutely no bagel flavor. I have had the good fortune of eating some really good bagels in my life and these bagels just don't cut it. Then there is the baked goods. I love baked goods. The baked goods at Panera are not worth the caloric intake. They have a really bland flavor and texture. The folks that work there don't really seem to give a crap about the customers either. They seem like they are just counting the minutes before they can leave this godforsaken place. The furniture and atmosphere are pretty decent, but that's about the only thing this place really has to offer. Oh, and the lighting is a bit bright at night. I would not recommend this place if you are hungry. Small portions of not that great of food. Go somewhere else and get something for your time and effort. read more
