Finally visited this new Panera Bread in Woodstock, GA - Towne Lake area. It's very well laid out, clean and the staff is great. I had the Pick 2 Lunch meal and I choose the Smoke Turkey Panini and Tortilla Soup. First impression of this combo meal left me short of feeling full. I wanted to try the Tortilla soup and was not disappointed, it was very good and low fat. The actual sandwich was quite small and it felt as if it lacked substantial fillings and flavor. I felt like I was eating from the kids menu and for the price, I felt somewhat cheated. Maybe it's what I ordered (the Pick 2) so next time, and there will be a next time, I think I will order a standard Panini and maybe a side of soup. This being my initial visit to this Panera Bread I'm feeling kind of let down. I feel like I would have gotten more bang-for-my-buck if I had gone to The Corner Bistro or a Schlotzsky's deli. read more

Food was definitely not as fresh as other locations I've visited. I can't describe it well, but the meat tasted ...old. Like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. The service was horrible. There was one young man trying to keep everything together while two young women flirted, goofed off, drank their soft drinks, and made rude faces at customers. I was a little shocked at how unprofessional they were. That one young man had to take my order, answer the phone, and then make my coffee while the two girls looked on. Sad! I love Panera. Worse I've ever been. Gave me pager. It never went off. My order was ready and waiting ! Soup cold. Got you pick 2. Soup bowl is smaller like a cup. Had turkey chili for $4.89. Canned is better. Hope I don't get sick. No decaf coffee. Asked if they could make they did and brought to me. 1/2 Asian salad was $5.19 and small. Prices going up and portions smaller. The food here has really deteriorated. I recently ordered an orange cranberry muffin and a bacon, egg and cheese brioche breakfast sandwich. When I got home the muffin had no cranberries in it (I wasn't told it was an essence of cranberry muffin) and the brioche was so hard on one side as though it had been sitting out for a few days. I ate what I could because I was famished, otherwise I would have thrown it out. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. This used to be a quality location. read more

I usually have very great experiences at Panera Bread, but this specific location was struggling. First, I'm 36 weeks pregnant, and having a full parking lot, I parked in the back (which wasn't a big deal since there is an entrance way in the back). Not only is the ramp blocked by the carry out driver's PARKED/UNATTENDED CAR (which I'm pretty sure is illegal for fire safety reasons and is also I violation with the Americans with Disabilities Act), but the side walk was blocked with a four tier wire self unit and some sort of black bins that looked like garbage. At this point I have to go back out on the the street because of the obstructions on the sidewalk, but I had to try and maneuver around the trees and bushes because the ramp for the sidewalk was blocked by the parked takeout car. Usually this wouldn't bother me, but I'm already carrying a basketball on my stomach and suffer with ligament pain in my legs because of how far along I am... the whole scenario was stressful and put extra strain on my body by JUST TRYING TO ENTER. What was even worse about all of it was when I was leaving, the car was parked in the exact spot, but facing the other direction meaning they had left and came back to repeat the blockage... I didn't know in front of a handicap ramp was a designated parking spot for a place of business's currier service. I put in a Togo order, which my food was ready in a timely manner, and was very good when I ate it, but I had ordered a smoothie as well. No one was preparing that, so I told the woman who was making the food that I was still waiting on my smoothie. She had tried to reach out to get someone from the front to help make it, but no one acknowledged her. She ended up saying 'I'll go ahead and make it' which I know was an inconvenience because it took her away from food prep. During the time she was making my smoothie another woman(potentially manager since she discussed handling money/cash drawers) had popped around the corner and was too concerned with talking about how she counter her money down and how she was about to leave to have notice the woman who was busting her butt and could have used some help. The distraction of this lady caused the woman who was making my smoothie to not pay attention, thus making my smoothie short and realizing she hadn't even made enough to fill my cup. Her solution? Oh just add more liquid, swish it around, and poor it into the cup(WHICH STILL WASN'T EVEN A FULL CUP). On top of that I got to hear her(food prep woman) attitude with the woman trying to leave about 'showing her how to clean some dish/equipment since she wasn't properly shown how to and couldn't get anyone of her closing crew to do it. I honestly have never had a worse experience with Panera and I practically go every week since it is currently an extremely high craving place for me. I am overly peeved by the whole experience; enough to have taken pictures and to be writing a review. I will also be calling management later to discuss all of this, mainly by of the Togo drivers inability to use a parking space and block the handicap ramp. I do not want this experience to be the reason I no longer go to this specific Panera. Again, FOOD ALONE was still super on point! And NO, I had NOT taken a drink out of the smoothie. The cup has smoothie on the inside only from where she swirled it around in the cup before she handed it off. read more

I used to work for a Panera in a nearby town, and I can definitely say that this staff does a great job of getting the work done. This location is very clean and well maintained. The food comes out fast and stays consistent. The line moves fast, as well. read more

This Panera just opened and if you've been in one Panera Bread, then you can pretty much guess how this one is laid out,etc. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent as always. I love places like this where you can actually get something that is good for you, tastes good and won't put you in the poor house because of the cost,LOL. We stopped by here on a Saturday for lunch and they were slammed, I bet they have a line coming out the door during lunch hour on weekdays. This location's drink station is located right in the middle of the pickup area, next to the condiments. At busy times, this area is very difficult to navigate. My biggest complaint is the complete lack of ripe tomatoes . . . I mean green on the inside! There is a Kroger 100 yards away, but employees get "written up" for going to Kroger to get ripe tomatoes!! So, now I ask for NO TOMATOES on my salads and sandwiches. This franchise's owner does not seem to realize that green tomatoes are fried, not used in salads and sandwiches. I also think the drinks are over priced for the sizes. At lunch it can be difficult to find a seat. read more

Restaurant is always dirty. Tables not wiped in a timely manner and floor always filthy. The cloth backs on the tables have food on them and the cloth backed chairs are nasty. Too bad because the food is good..good health inspection too but I guess that doesn't include the dining area. read more

I love Panera. It's a tad bit pricier than some chain places but the food is fresh and made to order. They have a great pick 2 which allows you to choose 2 half items from the sandwich, soup or salad menu. Watch out for the premium choices that have up charges for EACH item. One of my favs is the Fuiji Apple chicken salad. Yummy. The apple dressing is lite and sweet. I also love any sandwich on the tomato basil bread. read more

Had lunch here after golfing today. The cool thing about this Panera Bread is that they have pagers. So you can sit down at your table while you wait for you food instead of by the counter. I ordered the Cobb salad with avocado. Tasted Amazing! read more

It's not just this location, every one I've eaten at has been good. I truly have never had a bad meal here. Sure it's just sandwich and soups but it's darn good sandwich and soups! My favorite is the Chicken Frontega. Oh my gosh, it's more like a panini with ooey gooey fontina cheese, fresh basil, roasted tender chicken and tomatoes. I ate this sandwich at least three times a week for six months! Second favorite-the chicken quinoa broth bowl. My mouth just instantly salivated just by seeing the words. That's sad! Or is it? It's loaded with rotisserie like chicken, quinoa, kale, lentils, all kinds of amazing goodness. Splashed with a hint of lemon. I know I could live off this stuff.....Happily! Horrible parking area. Did rapid pick up, there was no chicken in my Cobb goddess salad in addition to that all the lettuce was wilted and tomatoes soggy!! Yuck! The French onion soup made up for it (a little) but will definitely be back for the French onion soup. Scared to try any other salads now. read more

Towne lake Panera has terrible customer service. Half of the employees are very rude and seem to not want to be there. They only get my to-go orders correct half the time. When they're incorrect they make me seem like an inconvenience while fixing my order. They have never offered an apology for an incorrect order or a pastry in exchange like they claim they do. I come to this Panera solely because of location. I am very tired of how dirty and unkempt it is. Tables are ALWAYS dirty when I come and I usually come during off peak times. Carpet is filthy too. This place needs a good scrubbing and an update. The parking is also very problematic. The employees making the hot beverages need to get on the same page with the recipe. Ok this is the second time Panera bread is messing up my order in the past few days. I ordered the chipotle melt sandwich and tomato soup just a few minutes ago. Their was barely any chicken in the sandwich and the soup they gave me wasn't what I ordered. I got some soup and by the look and taste of it, it has bacon and I don't eat bacon!!! I would have actually let this one go but they messed up my order last week Wednesday too at another location in Norcross. Me and my husband we both ordered full Thai salad but when we got home and look at our order it was a half. They charged us for full but gave us half salads with barely any chicken. When you're running out of ingredients please stop serving half assed sandwiches and salads. read more

Went here this morning with my family and the food and service were terrible. The woman at counter 2 (where we picked up the food) was extremely RUDE. She literally smacked the plates down and when my husband asked for some napkins she yelled to get them by the soda machine (they weren't busy and there were napkins right by her). The sandwiches were like cardboard and stuck to the white paper they left on our plates. There was no taste and they were very soggy (couldn't even finish eating them). I experienced a problem that would be very simple to resolve last year, but after no less than 3 complaints to corporate headquarters and the store manger, I decided they would never be able to provide the service I requested and quit ordering from Panera Bread in Woodstock. Well after a year I decided to give them another chance. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a bagel with honey walnut cream cheese. The sandwich was not very good, but the bagel was awful. It was extremely stale, chewy and very rubbery. It was supposed to be toasted, but it had the texture of microwaved bread. And there was no Honey Walnut cream cheese included. The receipt said that if my order was not right, please call the manager. But they did not include a phone number to call, so I looked it up on the internet. I called and tried to get the operator, but their voice message said the operator was not available and the mailbox was full. Then I tried to call Panera Bread's corporate customer service number. The phone message prompts said press a number for filing a complaint about service. After being on hold for 30 minutes and listening to "We're so sorry for the wait, but your call is important to us, so please stay on the line and we will be with you shortly", I decided the only way to file a complaint is to do it online. Apparently Panera Bread is incapable of providing good customer service and then they put up as many obstacles to filing a complaint that they can. I was fired from this Panera for my epilepsy, despite what they told me. I had had a seizure incident and the very next day they decided I "wasn't up to par with the Panera standards" and that I "wasn't what they were looking for" Mind you, I hadn't even been working for a week, and only about four days outside of training. The timing and the fact that they told me it "wasn't because of my epilepsy" really just made it sound like they were trying to come up with every possible insignificant reason to get rid of me because of my epilepsy. They gave me absolutely no chance to improve and grow. Who doesn't make a few mistakes (and they were very few) when they're first getting settled into a new job? And despite how they appear outwardly to customers, they are extremely rude -- talking about customers behind their backs the second they go to pick up their food. The treatment of customers is equal if not worse towards other employees. They were rude, insensitive, and straight up mean, constantly tearing people down for the slightest mistake, the slightest hiccup. I once filled a smoothie just past the "portion line" like, literally not even a centimeter above it -- and I was chastised IN FRONT OF A CUSTOMER about this. Not only that, but whenever I'd make a mistake my trainer would go and call one of the managers and make it seem like a way bigger issue than it actually was. Any of the few decent employees were shocked and appalled at my being fired, saying that it wasn't fair and certainly wasn't right of them to do that to me. It's a wonder how they're even still operating if they're just going to hire people and make them go through all the paperwork and strife, just to fire them less than a week afterwards because they weren't immediately perfect and running the show as if they'd been there for years. I would never in a million years recommend trying to work at this Panera, and honestly I wouldn't recommend eating their either. Didn't fire me because of my epilepsy, my ass. read more

Came here for the Chicken Salad that I love so much. I ordered online because rapid pickup is usually the fastest. (at least my experience on Chastain road) my order was to be ready at 7:29pm and it wasn't ready until 20 minutes after the time that I was given. I would not have a problem if they were busy and or crowded. But there were only three people waiting for pickup but they ordered inside the restaurant. This service should not be offered if it's not taken seriously and if I wasn't offered a drink for waiting but got an apology after I had to speak to a manager. The workers just stood around laughing after finding out that I was waiting for my order. I saw 6-8 customers go in and out of the restaurant as I stand and wait by the door for my rapid pick up order. This was a horrible experience. read more

Wow-crappy service today. Restaurant at max capacity and noone informed us that were no tables. Waiting for a table, two parties behind us snagged tables while our food is sitting up there getting cold. We go to get our money back, son finally finds a table and now they've taken our food away. Really Panera?? If you know how busy sundays are then maybe you should figure out a seating system or not let people sit there who are done eating and just working on paperwork (one person sitting at a four-person table). I have been to Panera in town lake twice. Once when they opened and yesterday. On both occasions the customer service was horrible. I would rather drive farther to hwy 92 and go to Atlanta bread company, where the service is great, than to go to panera again. When they first opened it was a bit chaotic no one really knew what they were doing and there were a bunch of high school girls working the front who were sarcastic and so rude to customers.. To their face!, mind you. I asked for change for a 20 and had to wait 5 min so a manager could come out to give it to me. So annoying. Aside from that, the food was average and the place was clean. I figured it was bad because they had just opened so I decided to give it another go yesterday.. i got there around 8:15 and it seemed like right when I sat down someone got on the intercom and was like.... "we are closing at 9 so please hurry and eat your food and walk towards the door." Basically they were like.. "Get the hell out." Who does that? Who rushes their customers out like that? I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and my family has owned their business for over 30 years. Never have we ever rushed off a paying customer. SMH As we were walking out.. they had already locked the front door on us. It was barely 9 o'clock!! Some guy told us we had to walk around to the back door and i didn't feel the need to walk all the way around when u could easily unlock it and walk out. It was just so stupid and pointless and I won't ever go back. The employees need to take some serious customer service classes and learn some manners. read more
