I have enjoyed the food each time I have come to this place, pretty tasty and a good selection.

Went here for lunch with my grandma and husband. Asked to order two separate orders in drive through and the lady did not seem to like that and continued with attitude taking my Panera card number, after paying we waited for over 15 mins in drive through. When we got our Order I did not get all of my food when I told the lady she gave me attitude and insisted It was in my bag under something, it was not and one of the other workers handed it to her. I cannot believe this place!! We will not be returning. We did not get her name but she was working the 1pm shift, has shot black hair and glasses. read more

Ok this is ridiculous. You guys need to have a way to exit the drive thru lane for the times that you are out of your most popular soups so we dont have to wait in line for 15 minutes...I don't see any reason as to why any Panera Bread (for how high end it is of a place) should run out of broccoli and cheddar soup or anything for that matter. What has happened to this place?? Being a panera customer for 15 yrs and this yuba city location has ruined it. Constant problems with orders of 2 breakfast sandwhiches. Today it was forgetting the sausage on my sandwhich, again, and last time it was the poor quality bread they tried to pass off as a top to a sandwhich, which was actually barely a bread sliver that made the sandwhich look open faced. Overall the bread has gotten worse, the pastries such as cherry have shrunk down to a little bigger than a silver dollar circumference, yet charging the same price as the previous pastries which were larger. Manager simply told me they switched bakeries that provide their breads. Bad move, surely to save money while the customer receives a poorer product. Why cant a drive thru handle a 2 sandwhich order without messing it up or being confused?? Again this is a consistent problem here. Not a one time event. Time to find another breakfast destination. New place, they have forgotten to put a sandwich in my bag, but offered to correct. Also they have made the Frontega chicken wrong on two occasions, but they are new so I would expect something like that. Good soups, seems pricy for what you have to order and pick up yourself. Nice and clean. Someone commented about the good service but as far as I could see, the service consisted of taking your order and ringing up your tab. Today I decided to grab lunch at Panera with a friend. I've eaten at Panera before so my expectations walking in were very high. Went with the pick 2 and had a steak & white cheddar panini with the mac & cheese, chips & a drink to go. Was very disappointed with my meal. sandwich was literally thrown together, bread was soggy, one slice of meat. The mac, chips and drink was the only good thing out of my meal. 30 bucks for two lunches. "you pick 2" x2. Plus a water and one soda. salads were plentiful and nice looking. Meat was at the edge of turning bad. Both different salads were terrible. Was expecting a descent experience since they built this place from the ground up. I've only been through the drive through. I have 20/20 vision and I had a hard time seeing the items on the menu, I ordered a bagel and a specialty coffee. When I came to the drive through window the lady said they were out of the bagel I ordered and then didn't tell me any other options, I had to ask. O and btw to add cream cheese to your bagel is $1.45 just for the cream cheese. After randomly choosing a bagel I handed her my Panera card that's pretty old and she said it didn't work. She didn't offer me a new one , so again I asked for one. The food got to us quickly but you could see directly into the back where the kitchen is through the drive through window and it looked like a high school cafeteria or something, not updated like I would expect it to have looked. Anyways, bagel was huge, it was good. I would go back just for bagels and reg. Coffee. Literally have never left without some kind of disappointment. We try to avoid the bad customer service by ordering at the kiosk but the order is almost always wrong. I asked for the autumn soup without the seeds they sprinkle over after it's in the bowl but still got the seeds. We had baguettes as a side for 3 different items and they literally just threw in a long half baguette instead of cutting it into 3. Unhelpful, unfriendly, inattentive to your needs. read more

A little disappointed in my food tonight. I ordered over my phone for pick-up, got there 5 minutes after it was ready and left. When I got home I noticed they gave me the wrong cookie( ordered the m&m one and they gave me the pumpkin), it was free for signing up online so I wasn't upset over it. I move onto my salad and it was perfect and my French onion soup was great as usual. The only thing that was wrong was my French bread hadn't been cooked all the way and they forgot to press my sandwich which made it too much bread and it was really oily. Excellent! It was a little packed that first week that they opened but that's to be expected Panera bread is definitely good! Now Business is running as smooth and quickly as any other Panera Bread and you can expect the same great quality! First off I'd like to say, I am a big fan of Panera Bread and have not had any negative experiences until this one. My boyfriend and I wanted to enjoy a nice to-go order from one of our favorite places. Upon getting there, we arrived at 9:15 while they close at 10:00pm. A whole 45 to get everything done you think would be enough time but apparently not. We placed our order and proceeded to go to the back counter where you pick up your food. We stood there watching other people that ordered after us receive their food first, but 99% of those were not the right orders either. We told the manager on that we had still not gotten our food and had to keep repeating our order to them. Around 9:45 they started to pack up our order after multiple times of us saying something. We received our order and left at 9:58. When we got back to our place, we took everything out and were completely and utterly disappointed. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad which the chicken was completely raw. We returned today and the manager who was on gave us a refund. Once again I've never had any bad experience at Panera until this, and I defiantly will never be returning to this one. read more

the experience was okay if it's the kind of place you prefer going to, however i would not say panera is for me and most likely won't be back. no hard feelings! while it was not my cup of tea, it was far from a bad experience and deserves a fair review. everything was just fine. came in with bf to try the place out, had heard of it but never had one nearby. my first impression was that it seems like more of a bakery than a food joint. food is definitely on the pricey side for what you get (small portions) but not bad by any means. their sandwich offerings are more on the health-foody side (calories listed literally EVERYWHERE) with lots of light and veggie options, and while it's not typically what we go for when we go out to eat, i can see where it would appeal to people who are into that sort of thing. read more

I went To Panera for first time last night with family. My son has went to Panera Bread at other Locations and likes there food. Started out bad, everytime we placed our order, they were out of something? I can deal with that and not upset. Also Nancy that took our order was awesome and very apologetic and rolled her eyes in embarrasement not having so many things lol. Still no problem. Ok order placed and waiting for order. Order was called and went to pickup window to get food. There was a lady and young kid preparing food. I looked at order and stuff was missing and asked young kid that was preparing, where is the rest? He said thats it? I told him no I ordered couple sour dough bowl breads and he told me I didnt. I said i know what I ordered and he told me I didnt know what I was talking about like a smart ass! He could have easily went up front and checked and told me let me check sir and would have been ok. But he didnt, no customer service and very arguementive. I walked up front to get my sour dough bowls, and saw manager and she said what was problem and said the server was very un professioanal and told me I didnt know what I was talking about? About that time nancy walked back in and I ordered bread bowls and she said yes, I grabbed my receipt and show manager and said she would take care of it. I told her he needs to learn custoer service and she said she would talk to him. Now as I'm walking off a customer told manager , dont worry about customers like that! Then walking away I hear manager tell her your right I get customers like this all the time and nothing you can do about it. Instead of walking back I turned the other cheek like in the bible and sat down. How I wanted to go to customer and let her know about customer service and dont need a 20 year old kid telling a 40 plus year old he doesnt know what hes talking about. I like their bagels especially the cinnamon crunch but every time I go there they are out of something my wife and I were there on Wednesday we order coffee bagels and couple other things and we paid. We went to pick up our order, the young lady said "we are out of honey Walnut." Which is the charges for it, she said "only we have it in the bigger container." I said "I already paid, I want you just give me some of it. She said "we can do that, you will have to purchase the bigger container." Which I was disappointed because of that, they constantly out of it. If you're out of it, you tell your customer before they paid i'm really tired of it. I am there at least three times a week. I was appalled at how filthy this Yuba City location was! The place only had a few customers, the manager was standing around shooting breeze with staff and I couldn't find a clean table in the place. We came in late afternoon and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since lunch rush, food, plates, silverware and trash still on tables and floors and the tables that were free from plates and utensils hadn't been wiped at all, crumbs and food smeared the tables, I almost walked out. My husband mentioned it to the manger and he picked up a few items off tables and floors, but didn't wipe any tables down. I'm sad as this is a new restaurant in our area and we loved the one in Roseville and we were excited about it coming locally, but I'm afraid I'd rather drive 45 minutes and eat at the one on Roseville. This is my first, and probably only time, going to a Panera bread. I went threw the drive threw around 830pm on a Thursday, there were only three cars ahead of me, two had already ordered, one was at the speaker. Business also looked slow inside. I pulled up to the speaker, and no one greeted me for about three minutes. It wasn't until I said hello when someone answered. It took about 20 minutes to get from the speaker to the hand out window, with literally only 3 people ahead of me who all seemed to have small orders. I ordered a Frontega chicken panini, and got something completely different. The lady at the window told me, as she was handing me my food "oh btw we're out of the bread that this sandwich usually comes on, I hope this bread is ok in replace of it". I told her it was fine, that this was my first time here, and I didn't mind really as long as whatever I got was good..... for a ten dollar sandwich it better be good! I don't know what the hell I got, but it wasn't good, at all! There was two slabs of non ripened tomatoes on my sandwich, a few pieces of lettuce, and a small amount of some weird Greek flavored olive, onion and carrot slaw crap that would better belong on a salad. There was no cheese, no chicken, it barely has anything on it and was mostly just bread. I also ordered a French onion soup.... and it literally just had onions!! No cheese, no bread, no croutons. Just the broth and onions. THATS NOT A FRENCH ONION SOUP! The one and only good thing I can say about my meal is that the soup did have good flavor, even though it was missing half of the ingredients. The small and worthless bag of potato chips they gave me also wasn't worth my time or money. I get that they're new and adjusting to business, but come on Panera bread! All business should send in experienced employees from other stores to help train new hires and accommodate the business, and mistakes this huge should happen! I MAY give them another shot in the future, maybe after the newness of it dies down, or try them at another location, but for 15$ a meal, I can get much better sandwiches and soups at plenty of other locations in Yuba city, and for a much more reasonable price! read more

I have been to the Panera in Roseville and Sac and it always disappoints me . Recently tried the one in Yuba City and its terrible. No silverware, order was wrong and dont eat the soup. The soup is shipped frozen in a truck to the store. in plastic bags, then unthawed and warmed up in their crockpots. The sandwiches aren't great either. I dont know they stay in business. read more
