Yesterday my boss and I picked up lunch from Panera, they put everything in the bag but my salad. I called and the manager Stephanie, who was very pleasant on the phone, she said to Write her name down and go back and pick it up whenever I could. (Couldn't go back yesterday because we were slammed with interviews) so this morning I took the receipt and ordered a bagel and explained I was there to get my salad also, as soon as I pulled up to the window I heard an employee say (yesterday?! I don't believe it !) I handed her my payment for the bagel and the receipt with the managers name that I spoke too, as I watched a worker use her hand, with a glove on it to touch her headset while tossing what ended up being my salad on the counter. After waiting for a few moments the woman working the window came back and asked what time I came in yesterday (with my receipt in her hand that I'm sure had the time on it) I told her I picked up lunch for my coworkers and called when I got back to our restaurant because I couldn't leave so I went without lunch. She then smirked and said ohh okay and handed me the bag, no I apologize no I'm sorry no have a nice day. I stopped eating fast food and going through Drive Thru's because I have learned that service and perception and service is everything in a drive thru. And unfortunately it's rare to find. I can honestly say that I've had a better breakfast with friendlier service from an am/pm. Every aspect of our order had something wrong. We ordered two different coffees and we got two of the same, we ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches with simple but unique deviations from the standard ingredients (like no cheese) and we got 3 breakfast sandwiches that were EXACTLY the same. We even asked for 1x bacon and 2x Sausage and we got 3x sausage...all with cheese. Sausage and bacon are distinctly different, not here. Perhaps they don't care about customer service because of their premier location, or the brand, but I wish they were committed to being better than this. We'll go elsewhere from now on. read more

Just an FYI, this was written while most of the state was in the purple tier. The food was good and the staff was polite. I was somewhat concerned regarding their COVID safety procedures, the amount of people indoors dining, lots of people not wearing masks (while standing in line to order and not while they were eating), and the lack of social distancing. So despite the fact that I have had all of my COVID shots, my kid (they haven't had their shots because at the time Pfizer wasn't approved under emergency use for under age 18), and I elected to get our food and eat in the car. Could not understand simple instructions that our car had two separate but very small orders.

I went through the drive thru this evening & when I got home I discovered that I was missing a 1/2 sandwich from my order. When I returned to the store, everyone that I spoke with was super-apologetic. The manager came to me & also apologized & made sure that I got a free cookie in addition to the sandwich. When they brought my sandwich out to me, the young lady informed me that they had made a whole sandwich "for all the trouble" they had caused. Seriously, it wasn't that big a deal - an honest oversight- but I truly appreciated their efforts to make it right. I love Panera Bread & will continue to give this location my business! read more

My brother in law describes this place perfectly: overpriced cafeteria food. My grandma loves it here so I oblige and we come when she wants to. Not once, not twice but four times I have ordered a Baja bowl with no chicken and have gotten all the way home just to realize they put chicken. If it was once or maybe twice I wouldn't care but four times?! It's like I have some sort of Panera curse. Each time I have to make a 30 minute round trip. Think of the time and gas I am wasting. It's just ridiculous. I always make sure they read my order back and understand that I do not want chicken. The food is always consistently delicious, and I have no trouble making many of their menu items vegan. Recently I was there with my boyfriend and I ordered a sandwich with no cheese. Once I took a couple of bites, I noticed what I thought was cheese, as it was stringy. I went up to the counter and asked about it, and they suggested that it might be the pickled onions. I wasn't sure, so they graciously offered to remake the whole thing for me. They brought the new sandwich out and were super pleasant about the whole situation. It ended up being the pickled onions, as they said LOL. Just goes to show the customer service is amazing and the employees aren't disgruntled by dietary restrictions or mishaps. Across the board in this locations and surrounding, the quality and quantity of food and service has gone WAY down the hill. Good Real Food I appreciate this, I always get soup with a Sourdough Bread Bowl, my utensils are always in bag as I always use the drive through along with napkins, butter ect. Their Southwest salad (small) was the perfect size for my appetite which was served with an apple. Due to the volume and high nutritional content, I was satisfied for the remainder of the day. Good food, bad experience getting my order made correctly. I have been ordering a salad every Friday and splitting it with my teen daughter. It's a nice big salad. Then one week my salad is missing avocado, the next week chicken. When I came into the store to have my salad replaced they gave me another salad with no chicken. They also forgot my piece of bread that comes with the salad. When I had the 2nd no chicken salad replaced they gave me a salad with chicken but ignored my special requests. I am so happy Panera Bread has come to Yuba City. I went to Panera Bread today after 1 and I dined in. The staff did seem a little overwhelmed because it was pretty packed. No one didn't greet me or ask if I need help w/ anything. I ordered from the kiosk. We ate outside, since the inside was packed -- after 30 mins our food was finally ready. I've never waited that long for my food at any Panera Bread before, but since they're new I figured it would take sometime. Will I be back -- of course! The food was great, so no complaint there!! I love that Yuba City finally got a Panera! It IS a little pricier than other fast food establishments but I feel the quality is much better compared to other fast food sandwich shops. I have visited several times and I will say a majority of my visits something was forgotten or they no longer had the item and didn't inform me until I pulled up to the drive through window. However, the staff was quick and kind when I pointed out any errors. Good food and good customer service. Sitting in this restaurant thinking wth is going on here. These ladies are all in here talking very loud about strippers and even showing videos to each other. This is so inappropriate, I've been a restaurant manager for years and would never allow my employees to talk like this. Last time I was here a door dash guy was waiting and the girl behind the counter was so rude to him he asked for the manager and she was equally rude. I love this place maybe it's time to have an employee meeting to make sure they know how incredibly inappropriate it is. Also manager training is needed. However the young boy at the counter was absolutely amazing. Give him a raise. He's not only the counter person he greets and walks around asking if we need anything. Great employee! I am sooooo happy they finally brought Panera to yuba. I used to go almost daily to one of the locations in NOVA. I love the spinach keish since it's basically handheld, and their cheddar broccoli soup is by far the best I've ever had. I went so far as to do a copycat recipe at home. I will say the keish seems to be perpetually sold out by 9:45am, but I can't blame Panera for its popularity; I'm just hoping in the future, they'll make more to last longer into the morning. I've tried almost everything on the menu though, the tortellini, the creamy chicken wild rice, the tomato mozzarella flat bread, it goes on and on. I love this place. read more

Yum yum yum! Been here about 4 times already because the food is so good! As a chain restaurant it's a little more pricey but the portions at this specific location are good! One time we came in they politely told us that there was a 45 minutes wait for food just as a heads up. We did not end up staying for that lunch. However so far the food as been great! A few little mistakes here and there like forgetting chicken in a salad but they quickly made a new one & you were able to keep the first one (kind of a bonus) or they have to toss it. My only critique would be if someone asks for no walnuts or pecans it would be good to not find a couple of hidden ones in your food. Most likely a total accident, but if someone was allergic make sure you TELL the servers cause that could be bad real quickly. Overall, this place is great! We have gone all hours of the day and we've had a problem finding seating. 12:45 is gets pretty busy though especially for pick up orders. Just a heads up! read more

I would give 5 stars for quality of at least bread, but 0 stars for customer service. I was there today around 3:30pm. NO one was in line or even waiting around. 2 people behind the counter, one being a manager and an employee who looked like they just got off work, they were just chatting away and away and away. Finally the manager asked if she could help me and my response was yes, gave my order and this woman just kept chatting and chatting and chatting and no not to me. It took me 15 minutes to get my loaf of bread which was all ready prepared and sitting on shelf. Several other workers came up to her to ask questions which she completely ignored my loaf of bread so she could chat some more and from what I could tell was personal, nothing to do with work. My goodness, pay attention to the paying customer, get them out the door then you can chat all you want. This manager had no managerial skills at least not in food service. Sad, this is not the only location where skills behind the counter were not on top of things. Usually it's wrong orders or they just dont understand.
