Open 12-9pm Wednesdays through Sunday, located right across the street from Gunther's Ice Cream (also open until 9pm). Most recent dinner, I got the baked pretzel which came with a side of beer cheese and brown mustard ($10), and the macaroni and cheese. My friend got the Pangaea Burger minus some produce per request, upgraded to garlic fries. The bacon mac and cheese was a pretty big portion, and were shells rather than elbows, and the salted pretzel was good although the beer cheese could have had a more pronounced beer flavor please. read more

Loved the green goddess salad. Sweet strawberries, pickled red onions, crisp greens covered with dressing. It could do with a tad less dressing. I recommend this salad. I read lots of great reviews on the fried chicken sandwich and I thought it was awful. I liked the concept of fried chicken, slaw, pickles, but it didn't work for me. All of the food choices will definitely compliment the beers that they offer, but not only that, the food is great and up to the best quality you can get. Hands down I am giving this place a 5 out of 5. I got the Mac and cheese with vegetables and it was truly delicious. This was my first time eating Mac and cheese with vegetables and let me tell you that it has been one of the best ones Ive ever had. I believe I added the veggies for $3 or so. I do think it is a little pricey for what it is but the flavor is totally worth it. The waitress was very friendly! I over heard another customer giving feedback on the food they got to one of the workers and the worker was very professional and nice about it. The other customer was also nice about it but I liked the fact that the environment was chill, relaxing. We weren't greeted upon arrival. That did not make a good first impression upon us. You pay up front, and they expect a tip then. I respectfully disagree. Tips are based on customer service, food and drink quality, which we hadn't yet received any, and cleanliness. Tipping provides an incentive for exceptional customer service that creates unlimited earning potential for servers. The customer service was sorta slow although the place wasn't busy We had: Hot Buttered Pretzel which is "Baked pretzel w/ a side of beer cheese & mustard". Interesting. Nachos which is "Tortilla Chips topped with house nacho cheese, black beans, shredded cheddar, house made salsa & guac. Served w/ sour cream and jalapeños on the side". Okay. I'm just more used to fish tacos that have a milder tasting fish in them. Shrimp had a strong iodine flavor and a mild chemical flavor. The chemical flavor comes from the slushy brine mix used to store the shrimp on most fishing boats before they make it to shore for further processing. We passed on drinks once we saw the drink prices and lack of small sizes for the drinks No complaint on the food Prices seemed sorta high for what we got Very noisy, which was inexplicable as wasn't that busy They sell merchandise We never got a smile from the servers nor really anything to make our experience there pleasantly memorable. It costs 6x more to attract a new customer than it does to keep an old one. Took a day off to relax a little and hadn't been to Pangaea in a long time so thought we would go for lunch. Got there a little after they opened. Also got lucky and found a parking spot no far away. Lots of options for outdoor seating as well as inside which is nice with the heat and smoke. While standing in line we noticed the Bottle Shop was closed. (It has been a while). We ordered a couple of beers and the Mac n Cheese with bacon. Found a great place to sit and watched the crowd across the street at Gunthers. People waited a long time in line. I think I've been to this bar during my undergrad years while visiting friends at Sac State. This place is known for their sours and their beers. Located right across from Gunther's they have outdoor seating and some spots to sit inside, there's plenty of street parking around the area too. Their menu looks like they have some good bar eats and a wide variety of things. For a Sunday afternoon they were pretty busy and had a good flow. Why did I have to use a fork to eat my burger? 2) my cousin ordered a salad and asked for a little bit of ranch, our server made it a big issue that an extra side of ranch was an additional cost. Dinner comes and here we are at a restaurant again after coming from another restaurant 2 hours ago LMAO. Another round of appetizers we go! It's located across of Gunther's Ice Cream on the corner of Franklin Blvd and 3rd Ave in a residential area. There is free street parking all around but can be kind of difficult to find as Gunther's Ice Cream is SUPER SUPER popular. There's both an indoor and outdoor seating that we could choose from. We decided the indoor seating as it was conveniently available when we entered. The restaurant was originally not packed when we got there around 5pm but it got really packed around 5:30-6pm to the point where the indoor seatings felt super stuffy. The restaurant is similar to cafeteria style. We pay for our drinks/foods first, given a number, and then the food is served by someone. There's a water station near the entrance of the restaurant. I got a strawberry hibiscus cider as I was tooooo full for anything else. It was strangely watery. As a cider, I expected it to be a little "watery" but it was straight up flavored carbonated water to me. Darn. But the alcohol content (~6%) was higher compared to other drinks on tap. Dangerous. My friend ordered pretzels and the charcuterie board. The pretzel was delicious! The pretzel was thick with a soft bite into it. It came with mustard and cheese as dipping sauces. Mustard... interesting. LOL The charcuterie board came out, and we all looked at it and was very confused as there was practically nothing on this big board. It came with two smallish pieces of pork ciccioli, two types of cheese (one was bleu cheese, not sure what the other was; there was also more cheese than meat), bread, and mustard (AGAIN? mustard??). The pork was very tender but did not have a nice taste to it. One of my friends described it as 'canned ham'. I loved the cheese but not the bleu one as it was super potent. But the other one that I don't know of was very good. Strong and potent but delicious! The mustard was a very interesting mix. Added to the bread with the cheese and meat. Interesting. Friends also got burgers. They seemed to enjoy it a lot! The garlic fries were really good! Can never go wrong with that! Great pau hana (grabbing drinks to socialize after work) restaurant to be at after work. Lots of different taps available and other drinks offered.
