    Denver Omelet/ Breakfast Potatoes
    Kenneth K.

It had been awhile since we had breakfast here. It used to be our morning frequent places to eat. What happened? Oh maybe bc my wife has to watch her food intake. Service here however is excellent & we had seen our same waiter from years before. We noticed a nice renovation of the black booths & tables both bar height and the usual table height. I used the men's restroom & it's no longer wonky like before. A plus! I had the pancake combo & my pancakes were thick & massive. Too much to eat at one sitting. But it was a good thing! My wife had the Denver omelette, home fries & sour dough toast. She could only eat half! We were satisfied here! My wife noticed they even have a keto item on the menu & shrimp salad too. I'm confident we will return!

New fave brunch spot!! I really like the turkey supreme sandwich and the chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy!! The chicken tenders are also great! They're panko battered so they're perfectly crispy.

They recently started having Saikou Matcha popups here on the weekend which it what I stopped by for! (Possible soon an everyday thing) One of their staff has 12 years of professional matcha making skills and you can definitely tell by the quality and flavor of the drink. Huge menu with lots of unique options! The space was pretty cute too, lots of seating and very chill for a Saturday morning. Would love to see how it transforms at night since it's also the Redlight lounge! The staff was super friendly and had very good vibes. Lots parking around the area even though there are markets nearby.

Drove by this place many times and finally got the opportunity to try this place for breakfast. It was completely not what I expected in terms of decor. I thought it would be an old school diner vibe but it was modern with a bar, tvs and good music. They were playing 80's music videos and we enjoyed it. We ordered the chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy combo and Bloody Marys. The food and drinks were really good and the food had good portions. While our waiter was nice, I minus one star for the service of the hostess. She had an rbf and wasn't super friendly. I don't like to feel like I'm bothering you when I want to be seated or ask for water. I would come back again though because we all had bad days!

Glad I gave this place a try because the previous pictures kind of discouraged me lol but no complaints! Good servings, fresh, and reasonably priced.

    Belgium Waffle Combo

The food was okay. I got the Belgian waffle combo and it tasted fine but unfortunately no extra thrills or anything to write home about. The service was really nice though! Really nice and caring staff. The ambience was interesting because this place doubles as a bar so on a cold and quiet Monday morning there's huge light fixtures and televisions for evening activities. A nice time but if I return I'll probably see if lunch or dinner is any better.

Came to enjoy some small talk with a friend and enjoy a small shared brunch. Sat at bar and bartender/server was friendly and was not busy. Ordered corned beef and hash with sourdough toast, corned beef and hash was came out hot and toast was nice and buttered. Also ordered lettuce wrapped bacon cheeseburger with fries but didn't eat fries. Burger was cooked as ordered and freshly made. Ordered bottle of champagne and everything ordered was affordably priced. Great downtown location with plenty of parking on the street. Service is always great.

Great sauce. The meat itself was really flavorful. My onion rings were crunchy and not greasy. Loved them. Alot of people around me went with the wings and those looked and smelled really good. Clubhouse 56 feels like a neighborhood sports bar for East Sac but they also welcome everyone. The bartender, Natasha, was super friendly and patient with everyone. While a little pricey, likely because of the location, we had our own space and a great selection of foods. We love that they seem to understand that some of the most delicious British food consists of the foods from countries they colonized, so the menu incorporation of the Indian curries are much appreciated! There was quite the array of fried foods but all were very good and crispy. The salad was also decent. The interior is a bit far and moody, but I think that sets the vibe. The staff seem fine and are available if needed. Parking may be a little rough given the location, but it's a fun place to check out and have a nicer meal in Old Sac!

Luckily, the service was quick after we sat down and food kept on coming. The only disappointing thing was that they ran out of pizza dough, so we didn't get to try any of the pizza. I was looking forward to the Mushroom Truffle Pizza. We got a bunch of dishes to share. My favorite was the Poke Nachos. Generous portion with extra crispy chips. Tuna was fresh. The sauce was delicious with a mild kick. The avocado and jalapenos made the dish even better. I would also get the Crispy Brussel Sprouts again. It was tossed in a sweet gochujang sauce. Mildly spicy and addicting. The Fried Calamari was also a hit. Nicely fried served with marinara and tartar sauce. A large menu of drinks. I believe it's also a full bar too. Everyone was happy with their wine and beer selection. I had a mango refresher and it was perfect! Great place for large parties. It's that mix of a lively sports bar with really good Italian food, all inside a historic space filled with sports memorabilia. Walking in feels like stepping back in time with all the vintage photos everywhere. Knowing Joe Marty, a former professional baseball player, originally opened his bar here back in 1938 and seeing how they've renovated it without losing that character makes it feel like a really special piece of the city. One of my favorite moments was when my husband ordered a Manhattan and the bartender came over and poured it tableside. It turned into this whole little production and the table next to us immediately ordered one too, which was kind of fun to watch. The food held up just as well. My teen had the spaghetti with marinara and meatballs on the side and finished the entire plate, which says everything. I told our waiter Sean to surprise me and he brought out the lobster ravioli and I was not mad about that at all. It was so good. My husband ordered the carbonara with shrimp and that was also a hit. The bread came out warm and fresh, but just a heads up the dipping sauce was pretty spicy. Our palates was definitely feeling it, so we ended up switching to balsamic and olive oil instead. Even the restrooms had things to look at, including old Land Park newspapers, which just adds to how much character this place has. Helpful tip: If you're not sure what to order, let your server guide you. Ours nailed it. I had actually been here years ago before the renovations, so coming back and seeing it now was really special. It still has that history, just updated in the best way.
