Panzarello's, at Baseline and Mountain, is a great place for your next group Luncheon or group meal. James, the Manager, made it easy for me to plan my husband's Celebration of Life Luncheon. After I made the menu choices and selected the date and time, James took care of the details - which were executed exactly as we discussed. The tables were arranged as I requested. The food was a big hit with all my family and friends. Many people commented that all the menu choices were delicious. The food was served buffet style so everyone could enjoy all the menu choices which included, chicken enchiladas, beef fajitas, spinach-mushroom enchiladas, garden salad, rice and beans, plus salsa and chips. For dessert, we had freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and brownies. Service during the Luncheon was great! When I was giving my invitation to the Luncheon, friends told me that they were familiar with Panzarello's and shared that their food was delicious. I don't usually order any meal between lunch and dinner because of the transition and nothing is really ready, but took a chance and ordered a carne asada burrito. It was made to my order and I was blown away!! Their marinated carne was on spot! Marinate was not cooked out meat was tender and perfectly cooked. Rice perfect withe added corn, beans perfect half mashed half whole. All tender. Too many places ruin carne asada but not here!!! Can't wait for next time!! Excellent array of chips, flour and corn with a different salsa I'm not familiar with but also good. Hostess explained their style and a little culinary history. Panzarellos Restaurant catered Saint Anthony's 50th year anniversary last night. Mass was over around 6:30 , we sat at our table minutes later, with over 350 hungry people! And only 13 inexperienced servers it was a totally chaos! They started serving dinner at the rate of 1 to 2 minutes per person!!!! Parishioners came to the rescue after 45 minutes or so and started helping !! It was not until after 9pm we finally got served!! Our daughter and family had left by then!! They were hungry and frustrated!! They decided to eat at Spaggi's and ate a fantastic dinner! As for us , our meals were nothing to brag about !! Salads and dressings were just store bought, nothing special!!Salmon dish was served with a heavy cream sauce and was cold !! The chicken dish looked like they poured the same heavy cream sauce and cold !! My beef plate also had some kind of sauce that was not as heavy ! I only ate some of the beef because I was so hungry! The potatoes and vegetables were also horrible ! over cooked and not sure what kind of herbs were on the potatoes so none of us at our table ate them!! I'm not an expert on catering but I'm pretty sure they should had at least 25 servers to serve that many people!! Hopefully our Bishops, Priests and Deacons in attendance got served warm meals !! An honest review... My wife and I decided to give it a try on Saturday night at about 7pm. We walk in and the place is a ghost town, the dessert cooler/display etc... is completely empty, there is one cook in the kitchen. Strange! We were expecting a nice, homey, yet casual italian/mexican restaurant. Except its a sports bar with a Coco's dining room. I think they're really trying to figure out what kind of restaurant they want to be. We are greeted by a nice young lady and choose to sit in the bar area as it looks much more inviting than the dining room area. It was clean, comfortable, games, fights, etc.. playing in the TV's...but again, completely empty on a Sat. night. The menu: STRANGE. Burgers, steaks, sandwiches, tacos, burritos, pasta, salads, pizza's, ... American, Mexican, Italian.... RED FLAG. I originally intended on ordering a Mexican dish but decided on a burger and fries as that's generally pretty hard to screw up. My wife had a vegan/girly pizza. The burger and fries.... okay for bar food, overcooked, soggy bun. The Jalepeno poppers...$15! Seriously? My wife's pizza... very sparse on the toppings, mediocre. The fight on the TV is the only thing that made the experience from being horrible. I honestly wish we would have just cooked at home or gone to one of our favorites. WAY OVERPRICED for the quality of food we received. A $51 bill but thank god we used a Groupon deal. Lesson learned.... Restaurants selling Groupon deals are hurting and fishing for business. EVEN MY TRULY AWFUL MOTHER IN LAW LOVED THE FOOD. Panzarello's catered our Thanksgiving (sorry this review is late). We had a truly hectic Thanksgiving last year, so we decided to have it catered and found Panzarellos Restaurant. We are kind of high maintenance -- family emergencies made the location of the event a moving target. On top of that, I have a truly awful mother in law who criticizes EVERYTHING I do or make. Panzarello's could not have been easier to work with or better to eat. Great turkey, stuffing, vegetables and potatoes. And they made two types of mashed potatoes -- regular and "Chile Relleno Mashed Potatoes" which had Hatch Chiles and Monterey Jack cheese. The family LOVED THOSE. And the best guacamole! For dessert they included HAND MADE ASSORTED PIES -- pecan, peach, apple. The food was delicious, they were incredibly user friendly, the food was delicious and the food was delicious. We will be eating there and catering with them in the future. read more

I was fortunate enough to DJ a corporate Christmas party at Panzarello's last week. I've been a DJ in So. Calif. since 2009. I have had many gigs at restaurants and bars in the area. This place is heads above all the other venues I have DJ'd for. Just like many of the reviews I've read here on Yelp, the first thing I noticed when I walked in was how well decorated and clean the place is. Next thing I noticed was how quick I was greeted by Jerry. I think Jerry is the manager. As a DJ when I introduce myself at other venues, they normally just point where they want me to set up my equipment. Jerry was very accommodating in every aspect. There were approximately 100 people there for the company party. They were all having a great time! The Panzarello employees were keeping up with all the drink orders and meals. Jerry asked me after the party ended if I wanted to take some food home with me. He put a plate together to take home. While driving home the aroma of the chicken marcella and dinner rolls were incredible! I couldn't wait to devour the chicken marcella and rolls when I got home. I was not disappointed! The food was sick! By far the best chicken marcella I've ever had! I strongly recommend Panzarello's! You will not be disappointed! Also, their prices are very reasonable! I have been to this place about 4 times to watch Steeler Games. The second time I was there they ran out of Bud Light and Seltzers. The next time we ordered a Grilled Cheese that was cold when it was served. The next time we got an Italian Beef Dip that was served cold, the cheese was not even melted also we ordered a pizza and the wrong pizza was delivered and it was returned the second time the pizza was delivered it was wrong but now I have been waiting an hour to eat so we kept it. The waiter said we would be given a discount after the first one the said he would comp the pizza after the second one (I did not ask to be comped) after the game no one brought my bill so I went to ask where my waiter was the girl said she would get my bill and give me 10% off I stated the waiter said he was going to comp the pizza she did say she would do that I said I can wait for the waiter. He did bring the bill and he did take off the pizza then the owner came to my table and said she wanted to inform me of their policy! She said they do not comp meals! I said she needs to be talking to the waiter not me, I did not ask him to do that! She stated I was yelling at her however it was so loud in there you could not hear anything!! These people are so rude. I was told they sent people to the Stater Bros to by Seltzers but I don't know that for sure. I do think the Health Dept should check the temperatures they store and serve their food. Someone need to school these people to how to run a business!! Do yourself a favor and do not eat here!!! read more

Wanted to try a new, local place this Friday and the fusion concept intrigued me so I figured I would give this place a try with my girlfriend. Very disappointed. This place prides itself on Mexican-italian fusion, yet there are 3 chicken dishes that even resemble fusion and that's about it. I had the "Italian enchiladas." It was manicotti. Nothing Mexican about it on the plate at all and unfortunately the pasta was gummy and for the price the portions and quality are very lacking. The jalapeno chicken was not any better. Chicken was dry. The sauce was actually decent for this dish, but the mash potatoes were gummy. They were definitely either an instant mash or they were run through a blender unsuccessfully. We did finish our plates because we were hungry but we left with much to be desired. The queso fundido was awful. It was supposed to come with chorizo, the meat in our queso was not chorizo and the cheese had a pool of grease on top of it. The salsa was ok with the chips but, again, it just simply wasn't very good. The reason this is a 2 star and not a 1 is because the waiter we had was excellent. He answered all of our questions and checked on us frequently. Never got his name but big props to him!! I love the idea of the concept for the restaurant but the execution of this concept is just plain bad. For the prices they charge I won't be back until the food gets a major face lift. read more

St. Anthony's Church hired a company, Panzarello's, also known as Imagine That, to cater their 50th anniversary gala dinner. Let me tell you, I have never in my life experienced such poor, disgusting, horrible, and unprofessional service. Not only was the dinner served two hours late, but the parishioners who had come with so much anticipation and love for the event had to get up, take matters into their own hands, and begin serving dinner to the guests. The company's owner hired teenagers who needed to learn how to serve or what they were doing, but they became frustrated and could do absolutely nothing. They never came to the tables to serve the drinks, to make sure that nothing was needed, or to clean them; the clergy and parishioners were the ones who cleared most of the dishes. The kitchen was a mess, and the way the dishes were served was so dirty and disgusting. Each dish looked like a TV dinner, some with very small portions and others dancing in sauce. The chicken had no flavor; the salmon was overcooked, as were the vegetables and the bitter potatoes; the tri-tip they offered was boiled meat that looked like pulled pork for sandwiches. This event was organized with so much love, effort, and joy, with so many beautiful details and decorations that service from Imagine That or Panzarella's, whatever it is called, ruined an evening. Many would only enjoy this event once in a lifetime. James, the owner, saw what was happening, and instead of going out to organize his people, he disappeared. We had dinner here Tuesday evening. All of the staff was welcoming and our server was so attentive. We tried the Italian Enchiladas and could never have imagined what an ingenious fusion dish it would be. It was fantastic. The zucchini was literally the best, most well prepared and perfectly cooked zucchini I've ever eaten (not an exaggeration!). The Mac and cheese was ok...not my favorite but I have no complaints about it either. We also had nachos and the chips were to die for...soooo fresh and delicious. The guacamole was delicious and so was the salsa. I have nothing bad to say about this place...but I do have some wishes/hopes for it. I'd love to see a good pizza option on the menu (there's only one on the kid's menu). I'd love to see a couple more salsa options (even though the one they do offer is great). And the last is the rolls...would love some kind of garlic knot or roll instead. Other than that, can not wait to visit again and try some more stuff! read more

We had a great dining experience at Panzarello's! To start off, we ordered the tortilla chips and guacamole for our appetizer because we were curious at the taste of the tortilla chips since it was a blend of both flour and corn. Our curiosity was definitely well satisfied because the tortilla chips were definitely unique! It was crispy, but not fully crispy like the ones you buy in stores. It reminded me a bit of the Mexican buñuelos but savory instead of sweet. We enjoyed it since it was not too salty and the flavor blended well with the guacamole (it was a generous portion too!). For our entrees, I ordered the jalapeno chicken (with garlic mashed potatoes and zucchini) and my husband ordered the angel hair pasta with meatballs from their black board special (their specials are on their FB and IG sites too). The jalapeno chicken is definitely a must order for white/creamy sauce lovers! The sauce was very flavorful and the generous sauce portion allowed me to enjoy every bite of the chicken with the sauce. I thought the jalapeno chicken would be spicier, but it was not very spicy (it did have a nice kick to it though) and I was able to feed it to my one year old daughter who also enjoyed it! The zucchini was definitely the most flavorful zucchini I've had. I was not sure what to expect since on the menu it simply said "zucchini", but the zucchini was seasoned with oil and spices. I do wish that their menu could have added a short description for zucchini because it is way more flavorful than what it says on the menu! I took a few bites from my husband's angel hair pasta with meatballs and loved the rich tomato flavor! If you're a red sauce person, then I would recommend the angel hair pasta, but I gravitate towards white sauce more. I definitely will visit here again and hope to try the spicy alfredo with jalapenos and/or the Italian enchiladas! read more

I must say my prediction was true and the meal reminded me of a childhood chef, Boyardee. Italian prices for Mexican looking dishes.
