I had been craving feijoada for weeks until I discovered there was a little Brazilian enclave right here in Astoria by the 36th Av (N/W) station, though there are a few other Brazilian restaurants scattered around the neighborhood. Copacabana is a no-frills buffet por quilo, which is self-serve and weighed by the pound. They have a hot bar section with loads of protein options, a salad bar, and a section where someone slices up freshly roasted meat for you. There are takeout containers as well as plates if you choose to sit down in their adjoining dining room or outdoor seating. Overall, it was a pretty chill experience and I liked the laid back pace. I got my feijoada and rice, along with some broccoli and an oxtail that looked pretty good and everything came out to about $15 ($11.99/lb for hot bar + salad bar only). The oxtail was super tender and was cooked in a sweet tomato and onion rich sauce.

Less than $12 bucks for a plate of steak, feijoada and a few other items.

This is still my favorite self service/buffet place in Astoria. Very tasty Brazilian food for a decent price. Their picanha and other Brazilian churrasco steaks are the best for a fair price, staff is friendly and there's plenty of seats inside. Even for those who don't enjoy meat there's a good variety of vegetarian options.

Their meats are amazing! Particularly enjoyed the top sirloin with garlic and the short ribs. Love that they can cut you pieces of meat straight off the skewer. Place was really clean and not too crowded on a Saturday night. Will definitely come back for the delicious meats!

Ate here after work for lunch and dinner as a temporary substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 112 Q trying Brazilian food for the first time feeling curious about what to choose and eat. I had chose tried and eaten a variety of meat and different types of dishes and sides with a can of Brazilian soda. It was definitely good and delicious. The service there was also attentive. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time.

Another great Brazilian buffet with food that doesn't disappoint. Went over to the Astoria location, I've been to the one in Jackson Heights about 5 years ago and this place has a similar vibe to its other location. Food is also affordable too, my plate was about $15, bumped up to $21 with dessert and can of soda. A bit disappointed I didn't see any chicken anywhere in the meat section so I settled for strip steak and roast pork which was pretty decent along with seafood and vegetable yellow rice with a plantain on the side. It was a relaxing lunch and the service was pretty decent.

My best friend is Brazilian. Her mother took us here Sunday and the food was incredible!! I loved it. The place is nice it also had an outside sitting area. I will definitely be going again!!

A hole in the wall, no frills spot that serves a hot + salad bar for $8.49/lb. Also more expensive options if you get the bbq/churassacuria meats at like ~$10/lb. Ain't the fanciest food out there, but with various salads, lamb, beef, chicken, cod it will hit all the notes. The beef was a brisket that was super juicy and delicious. The cod and chicken were saucy and flavorful. Very authentic and homey cooking. Also great selections of exotic juices, e.g. cashew nut juice, guava etc. At this price point, Copacabana cannot be beat. *I'm sorry Whole Foods but your hot bar is way too overpriced for what you're selling.

This is a no frills but authentic Brazilian restaurant. There is a self serve buffet where you help yourself and you are charged based on the weight. The buffet includes selections such as feijoada, farofa, chicken, spaghetti, rice and beans, hard boiled eggs, and many more. There is a large salad bar area too with a good mix of vegetables. The feijoada is a must try. And for a little extra money, you can get grilled churrascaria meats such as steak, sausage and chicken. I thought the sausage was especially tasty. I have been to other Brazilian places in Queens that are similar such as Aroma and Villa Brazil. Like some of the other places, some of the buffet selections here seemed a little old and dry but it's to be expected from a buffet. Overall, you still get good value for your money.

If I could give this sorry excuse for a Brazilian "eat in, take out" restaurant, ZERO stars I would. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from a box. The chicken drumsticks tasted like yesterday's leftovers. They were not fresh. No meat on the grill looked appealing to me, so I did not get anything. I feel so ashamed that I tried this place out. Stay away from here! Go to Villa Brazil Café Grill instead. They have way better food.

Wednesday. Acarajé! Yes! You have all barbecue meats and dessert. I go 3-4 times a week because big variety of salad and food there. It's fast and very inexpensive. Service outstanding from everybody that works there.

Everything was good. The food was on the heavier side. There's pretty much no service there. The bbq is nice as well. Classic Brazilian food that hit the spot when you need it.

The food is amazing! Picanha is so goood and everyone here is so nice. If you're in Astoria I would definitely recommend.

I saw there was a whole wait at the front while we were eating! There is a one-time price depending on which soup base you order, and it may cost a bit more if you order a half/half, followed by the set AYCE price per person for hot pot. Soft drinks are free, and it is BYOB! Be careful with ordering the spicy soup base though - the medium spice was wayyyy too hot I recommend having only one person be in charge of ordering with one phone on everyone's behalf, because we ended up accidentally ordering a bit more than we expected since we each used the QR code in our individual phones all at the same time, and we ended up having to cancel the last round when everything came to our table, (which they were super nice about and did not charge us extra!) The portions were not too large, but definitely order in rounds so you don't overwhelm yourself! As dessert, I recommend the fried buns with condensed milk. The waiter did say to just check mark the paper instead of quantities, but they end up bringing you 2 of everything you order. The sweet & spicy fish is also very solid, garlic noodles were buttery, and even their iced tea was super refreshing. Could not recommend this place more!! Went on a weekday for dinner with four…read morefriends, and had no trouble snagging a same-day reservation (there was also plenty of open seating around us). The interior is spacious, with plenty of seating, and clean. Everyone gets their own personal hot pot -- only downside of this is you can't split your broth between a spicy broth AND a bone broth (as is my wont), so I ordered a bone broth and my partner ordered a spicy broth and we switched halfway through. The menu is huge: about half the items on the AYCE menu (mainly cuts of red meat), you have to order from the waiter, and the other half (incl. veggies, noodles, fish and beef balls, tofu, etc.) you can help yourself to in a stocked fridge area. This is the stuff of AYCE dreams. We got all sorts of fish, so much meat (beef, pork belly, lamb, you name it), giant shrimp heads, frog legs, seaweed, bamboo, lotus root, all kinds of veggies, etc. etc. etc. We also loaded up on sweet potato noodles, fish tofu, actual tofu, fish balls, beef balls, fish balls stuffed WITH beef, delicious tiny fried mantou that you dip in condensed milk... they even had ciba cake, which is a fave and kind of a rare find! It was a joyous, dizzying experience, and that's before you even get to the dessert bar (full of tiny cakes, cannolis, various puddings of all flavors!). Service is very attentive -- the waiters refilled our broths often. I can't say much else except that this is probably my new go-to hot pot place. Everything was delicious and fresh, and for ~$50/person, it's hard to find better value elsewhere.

We were satisfied with what we ordered, it was more so the model/service that was disappointing. I would honesty say that this is the spirit airlines of Dim Sum. I opted to do A La Carte since I wasn't hungry enough to justify AYCE, and they let us know that if we were "caught" sharing food, it would be an additional charge. That was fine since I had no interest in meat. We are very familiar with AYCE service so that was fine, but the manner that things were displayed were very off putting. Someone quite literally stood at the end of the table watching... it was awkward. Service was very slow and when food was placed on the table we were not told what it was, which was awkward since we were sharing a table with people and their food was being given to us and vice versa. The area of the restaurant is nice and located directly in little Italy. The shrimp spring rolls and crap Shanghai dumping were great!
