I love the concept of malatang. You grab a bowl, load it up with everything your heart desires,…read morepick your broth and they cook it all for you. The concept might be simple but the possibilities are endless! I went absolutely overboard with my proteins (both beef and lamb), enoki mushroom, napa cabbage, tripe, baby corn, fish balls filled with roe and tofu skin. I saw that they had tofu mochi too and it was one of the best new things I decided to give a try. The bone broth was rich, flavorful and had that perfect mala kick with the numbing spice. I got mild flavor so it was not the kind of spicy that I could not tolerate. Each topping also soaked up all the flavorful broth. My friend got the medium spicy bone broth and that was packed a punch! I love how all the ingredients are fresh and fully restocked. The staff is very efficient. And they also give out vouchers, and free oranges.

On the positive side, they do offer a large variety of ingredients to choose from. When my bowl was served, I realized it wasn't the one I had ordered. They had accidentally switched my bowl with another customer's. Later, while eating, I came across some of the marinated cilantro beef, which looked raw. I asked the server if it could be cooked a bit longer, but she explained that it was supposed to be pink. I tried a small piece, but the texture was still very tender, which made me uncomfortable. It also didn't have the texture of what I expected from beef. My cousin also had an issue with her bowl. The lotus root slices were cut fairly thick, so after cooking, it was still undercooked and crunchy. Overall, it was a disappointing experience due to the cleanliness concerns, the order mix-up, and the food quality. There are plenty of ingredient options, but I don't see myself returning.

Consistently strong service and reliable food quality make this a solid hot pot option. If you're…read moredeciding between this and Boiling Point, I personally prefer this spot for both flavor and efficiency. The Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Pot is a standout. The broth is savory, well-balanced, and filling, and the portion feels worth the price. The tendon is especially well done; very tender and soft, which adds a nice texture to the dish. You can choose rice or vermicelli, making it a complete meal depending on your preference. During lunch, they offer complimentary green or black tea, which is a nice value add. If you're ordering drinks, the milk crème green tea pairs well with the meal. The restaurant itself is very clean, and staff are constantly maintaining the space. Service is efficient, and food comes out quickly, even during busier times. Overall, this is a reliable spot for quick, flavorful individual hot pot. It delivers consistently on taste, cleanliness, and service -- which makes it an easy place to return to.

One thing that always stands out is the service--there's a male staff member who's almost always there, and he greets you with a warm smile every time. Super friendly and welcoming, which honestly makes the whole experience even better. I always go for the beef soup with medium spicy, and it's perfect. I've tried other spice levels and menu items, but I keep coming back to this. Not too mild, not overwhelmingly spicy--just the right balance where you can actually enjoy the flavor without it being too intense. Whenever I'm trying to decide where to eat, this is one of those "can't go wrong" spots. Consistent, comforting, and always satisfying. Highly recommend!

This location is in a little plaza with a lot of other food spots like skewers and sushi, and boba places like sunright, so there's usually parking if you go around since people tend to get boba and then leave. But their parking lot is pretty good for the amount of food spots they have around. It's one of those spots where it's one long table in the middle separated by sauces in the middle and then a few intimate tables on the side. It's small but usually not too busy. Even if they are, your food comes out pretty quick. It's an in and out type of spot but the soup noodles are good, you can't go wrong picking anything you're craving. I personally love the dry combo noodles and the soup comes on the side. It's oily but the flavor of the bacon bits is there. If you're looking for healthy, this ain't it. This is an old school chew chow noodle place and I crave it every once in a while. Do come here and give them support. They're fairly cheap compare to other noodle places if this is your jam.

I always get the #5, and the meat and tomato soup is honestly undefeated. It's one of those dishes that just warms you up and brings back memories--simple, flavorful, and exactly how I remember it. Every visit feels consistent, and that's something I really appreciate. Another big plus is the price. It's getting harder to find spots that are this affordable while still serving solid, satisfying food, but TK Noodle delivers. All the locations I've been to have been reliable too, which says a lot. At the end of the day, this place isn't about being trendy or fancy--it's about comfort, nostalgia, and good food that doesn't break the bank. If you grew up with it, you already know. And if you haven't tried it, don't let the mixed reviews stop you--give it a shot.
