    Breakfast burrito
    Jacob B.

Bacon breakfast burrito was extremely salty. Okay size but the tortilla seemed old or dry as you can see in the photo. I absolutely did not enjoy nor finish it. The last time I get a breakfast burrito from here.

Good too good forget to capture.

We love the food here.. breakfast burritos and carne asada fries and the tacos! The environment is nice and it is clean. The customers service is great and the service is quick. Definitely recommend :)

Good food kept getting annoyed that the menu on here was outdated. Here you go. Service good fast and food was tasty. :)

There is a darn toothpick in my food.

While eating my fries I see a used toothpick in my food. Wanted to vomit. I'm never going back. This was tonight before 6pm.

    Carne asada fries

They never disappoint! It's nice to just grab and go but today, sat and listened to the music blaring out of the kitchen and a guy back there singing at the top of his lungs having a blast! I was always taught that a happy kitchen is usually a delicious one. The carne asada fries were amazing and the breakfast burritos are always on point. It's great that they don't look at you funny when you ask for rice and beans INSIDE the burrito. And the burritos aren't stuffed with pico de gallo which turns out to be almost all onions like the bertos places. They have 3 locations and I've been to all 3. Every time a great experience. I'd definitely give a thumbs up and if you hear the music blasting, sit and stay a while. It's clean and simple plus they won't rush you to leave.

    Chipped bones in menudo.

Ordered the menudo to go on a Sunday. This is the 3rd time and their menudo is a slight departure from what I've had in California but it is amazing!! 5 stars. It's thicker with a great blend of spices. Today it's 3 stars. I've never heard of bones in menudo. Maybe it's an AZ thing or for flavor and I got the bottom of the pot, but biting into chipped bones is no beuno. BTW, to-go orders take a very long time. I've waiting 15 minutes for them to ladle the menudo into a styrofoam bowl. Not gonna lie, it's so good, it's worth the wait. Order ahead.

Hear ye. Hear ye. Read all the bitter reviews of this place, I understand why some will of you bicker and complain... Listen up, this is authentic style Mexican food. I understand that the nachos on the menu are not really Mexican, but totopos are Mexican. Nachos were invented in 1940 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico by Ignacio Amaya, aka "Nacho". You are not going to school me on Mexican food, try again. The burritos here are tasty and filling with decent portion size, and these burritos will not disappoint. What is the issue with the negative Nancy/Norm reviews? All I can tell you is that the Mexican palate and the Anglo palate are two separate palates. Most authentic Mexican foods are spicier and have more seasonings that what many Anglos can handle. Before you chase me down, beat me up, and tie me to a tree for what I just said. Allow me to share a little background, my Father is Anglo from Northern Louisiana, my mother is half Anglo, half Choctaw native. I worked overseas for over 20 years where I was able to experiment with different spices and seasonings, and I was quick to notice when I returned to the good old USA that fast food generally lacks seasoning. The palates are different, you cannot compare authentic Mexican food, with breakfast burritos from your corner fast food place. The palates differ. That said, now you can continue your constant whining and bickering about an authentic food from someone else's culture.

This place is good. I don't get the ratings it's receiving. This a go to spot for us. We like the enchilada sauce, pollo plate, machaca plate, carne asada plate, and shrimp cocktail which is like a gazpacho with shrimp. Service is good. Sometimes slow. Depends on take our orders. But we would recommend this place. Prices are reasonable for a non traditional sit down joint.

Great spot for some affordable Mexican food. Papa Chevo's has been here for a number of years and has other locations in AZ and Cali. I know the kids across the street at Hamilton High School love it here. They have a variety of burritos, tacos, tortas and combination plates to choose from. The Carne Asada Fries are pretty popular here. I come here for their bomb breakfast burritos. They are around $6 and I like to drown them with red and green sauce. Customer service has always been pretty solid when I visit here.

California burrito, tortilla soft and cold completely uncooked. Cheese unmelted, big chunks of onion and fat/gristle in the meat

The service however, has been a miss all three times we've been in. The location is large so maybe they just need to add to their team and do a little additional customer care training with everyone. We came in Saturday afternoon to a small lobby area where a gal was already waiting to be sat and when the third group walked in that lobby got even smaller. We waited for about 5 minutes for the hostess who came off cold and unbothered in leaving customers waiting as the other team members took notice of the filling lobby with no one checking in to let us know we'd be assisted soon. The hostess proceeded to tell us she'd be seating us outside, no offer of sitting inside at all and not once did she acknowledge her absence or offer any sort of greeting, not even a smile. When you're the first person the customer interacts with at business I feel it good practice to create a welcoming atmosphere that represents the space you're entering. Especially a place like this that is known for a fun, lively atmosphere. We were sat outside and our waitress was very sweet and got us taken care of with water, food, and drinks pretty quickly. It was a lot cooler than expected on the patio which was awesome, as I was worried about sitting outside when it was 104. Great job with that Mexicano! But once we got our food our waitress stopped by to check in once and we didn't really see her until the end of our meal after that. No refills on water or check-in to see if we wanted additional drinks (which I feel like happened the last time we were in as well). There's a gentleman with a tiger tattoo on the back of his neck who stops in at some people's tables to check in and have chat, he's never stopped in with us.. it all just seems like the customer isn't a priority at this restaurant. The food is delicious, the drinks are great but for the prices, I want to feel more valued. I want to have that fun experience of going out for drinks in a vibrant high-end cantina where you feel connected with the staff. We'll go back but I would really love to see a more engaged customer support team.

The nachos ended up being the star of the night. They were loaded, flavorful, and very satisfying. There was plenty of food and they were more than enough for both of us to share. My husband ordered the burrito and finished it pretty quickly because it was on the smaller side. After that we both ended up just sharing the nachos and we were completely full. Since this was a delivery order I cannot speak to the dine in atmosphere or service, but the food was packaged really well and everything arrived intact and still fresh. Nothing was soggy and the portions held up well for delivery, which I always appreciate. The nachos were definitely the highlight and something I would absolutely order again. It was clean, the staff responded quickly to me, but I was the only person at lunchtime on the restaurant side, and there were only two people on the bar side. Despite that it was loud. They need sound attenuation, My server was prompt, and freely shared her menu favorites when I asked. Sadly I'm not really a mole fan, her recommendation, but did try the enchiladas divorciadas. First the chips and salsa... the salsa was basically puréed tomatoes. No heat at all. Just some salt. I asked for something spicier and the server found me some habanero salsa. That was tasty, but it probably had very little habanero in it. Again, no better than a low-med heat. I grew up across the southwest so to me that was disappointing. The enchiladas? I really wanted to like this place but honestly? It was unseasoned boiled and shredded chicken, wrapped in a raw / untoasted tortilla. And drowned in some that was not enchilada sauce. The red sauce tasted like tomato sauce. I'm used to red sauce being pepper based. The spicier and more roasted the better. No pepper discernible. The green sauce tasted like it had a hint of green Chiles but mostly tomatillo. Also boring but better than the red. Neither was good. I ate it, I was hungry and it wasn't greasy, but... this was a midwestern spice-hating simulacrum of an enchilada. No bueno, demasiada aburrida. So to sum it up; decent but slightly loud facility, wonderful server, and I would say forgettable food but the reality is it was unforgettably boring.

Let me get this straight, you put choking hazard sized bones in your tacos and don't tell anyone to watch out for them? I've included pics and video so you can see what I am talking about. Tacos are my favorite food on the planet and I've had birria tacos at many, many places (including Mexico) and have never encountered multiple bones in any kind of taco for that matter. The carne asada was flavorful, tender, and clearly high quality, and the burrito itself was packed with great ingredients and balanced flavors. The added guacamole was the perfect finishing touch. As much as we loved the burrito, Espo's has become a go-to spot for our family because of their Taco Tuesday special.
