I always sit at the bar and talk with the waitresses or waiters while I enjoy my drink, talking about our days, what's going on in life, then 10-15 mins later my food comes out! Always exactly what I order, never unsatisfied with food quality, and most importantly I feel welcome! Since I have gone so many times, once I'm recognized, we make jokes that I always order "the usual," an iced tea with a bbq bacon cheeseburger (and it's true, lol). Menus and water were served promptly and the food was brought to our table piping hot. Even the fries, the failure point for most restaurants were hit and crisp. The pizzas, described as Chicago Style, were a thin crust pie. (Somebody needs to visit Chicago-Town for a primer). But, both pies disappeared. A fajita bowl and burrito bowl both vanished. My Greek gyro was overstuffed with lamb and fillings. Absolutely fantastic. And the spicy chicken fingers also vanished. Zero leftovers on ole servings. The food was that good. And service was attentive and water was consistently refilled. Just one caveat, for larger groups, Nighthawk Tavern adds a gratuity to the check. They're very transparent, as the tip is clearly shown. I still added a few bucks to the total. If you're in Dahlonega. you'll be more than happy with Nighthawk Tavern. And you certainly won't leave hungry.

The small parking lot I think is plenty big, as this is a smaller Pizza Hut location. I do love these retro Pizza Hut Classic stores - as with the other I've visited near Lake Hartwell, this is an original building with the pagoda-like roof and trapezoidal windows. This one has the original booths, original salad bar and the nook near the payphone where a stand-up video game would stand (sadly missing) - even the bathrooms (or at least the Men's) have original tile. I grew up eating Pizza Hut as a kid - it was a special place back then, a destination for what we thought of as upscale dining. Of course over the years it lost much of it's charm and became buried in the myriad available dining experiences at other restaurants. I didn't know that I missed this chain until it almost disappeared, turning in to another Domino's, Papa John's or Little Caesar's. So happy that these Classic locations have been making a comeback. As with my other-location visit, I opted for a 14" pan pizza - just as delicious as I remembered. Service was really exceptional at this location with servers who seemed to like being there, they even had the classic red cups. Kudos - I'm stopping again the next time I'm in the area.

The garlic breadsticks which we were told were phenomenal were frozen or store-bought breadsticks that were heated up in the oven. You would think in a pizzeria restaurant that they would make their own breadsticks. Every pizzeria in the free world makes their own breadsticks fresh. The cheese and pepperoni pizza which they say is a crowd favorite came to the table and was nothing but a pool of grease. I am not being critical, I'm being real. The waitress (Hailey) was very nice, but it seemed like a whole lot of people standing around to me to not get things right. For 2 people spending $45 for lunch I would expect a little more attention to what the menu says and what you serve. If you say, baked on the menu, then bake the sub long enough to melt cheese.

The venue is pretty spectacular with great views of the surrounding hills and valleys along with the vineyards as the hang of the side of the mountain. There were two aspects that pushed my opinion down a bit, neither are really the fault of the venue or business so I've stayed with the 5-stars. The wedding was held in an outdoor pavilion with great views, but during the first week of August quite hot. There are ceiling fans but they didn't help too much - I was sweltering in my jacket and tie by the time the ceremony ended (just be aware if you book something here during the hot season). The second, there are a lot of stairs as you are on the side of a mountain. If you have a hard time traversing a lot of stairs, there are other means of getting around so once again be aware. The main "hall" has windows with fantastic views. I thought the food was exceptional and wish I had taken more photos, but there were a lot of poor lighting (I was seated next to the dance area). My apologies for the missing check in and the lack of photos but I didn't want to be obnoxious at a wedding. Overall I love the rustic charm of this place and plan to return and more fully explore the wine offerings. I thought the service was exceptional with very accommodating staff, especially the bartenders.

Our food was served on styrofoam, the coffee drinks were a-okay (from a machine) and the jelly was served in packets (I'm not sure why but I really pictured sweet local jams or something that would tie back to the name and feel of the business). The bakery case offered croissants, cookies, etc. I didn't try any of those for myself so I can't speak to them. They offer a handful of small tables both inside and on the front patio overlooking the square.  The service was great - I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that here.

The winding drive up to the vineyard is breathtaking, and the views only get better from there. Treat yourself to a wine tasting, then enjoy an authentic Italian meal at Trattoria di Montaluce. Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends. I only stopped by this time, but next visit? I'm staying for golden hour, watching the sunset over the vineyards, and ending the evening with a beautiful dinner.

We didn't realize how grandiose the property was as we drove down a winding path throughout the estate to get to the restaurant. The restaurant was so beautiful. The front area has a gift shop filled with amazing smelling candles featured in their repurposed wine bottles and great sugar scrubs that'll leave your hands as smooth as a baby - they let you sample it in the bathroom. The dining room was mostly occupied but not entirely packed. I had the Amalfi dream, Greek salad and the shrimp scampi. All was great. The almafi dream was sweet but not too much, it was smooth. The shrimp scampi was so flavorful and cooked well. The Greek salad was such a fresh and flavorful start to our meal. We were celebrating my partner's new job, so I requested for a celebratory dessert for him. It took a while to come out and when it finally did, the ice cream was melted to the point where it looked more like milk floating atop as if it was sitting there for a while until it was served to us. They didn't even say anything or make it special. It was just silently placed on the table - QUITE UNDERWHELMING. It was still very delicious regardless but that diminished the presentation and joy of the moment. Since the food and beverage were quite pleasing along with the ambience, I'd love to come again but to have a more efficient and attentive waiter who wouldn't drag out our dinner for 2+ hours. I'd expect more attentive and focused service at such a nice establishment.
